Renu Ceilings

The consultation was professional and substantiated well with photographs and a list of references. Unfortunately, I was under pressure to have the general contractor do more and for me to doless of my own subcontracting, so I did not end up working with Renu. If I do any more ceilings(removing the popcorn), I would go straight to Renu for the job - pricing was very fair and I could see the product would be excellent from the full series of photos to show the quality of work and the care taken with my possessions.

Arrived at 8:15 for 8:00 appointment. Estimated would finish around noon, finished around 4:30 as they ran into problems with sealant or mud between concrete slabs coming out and tape in corners coming off. This added to the work they needed to do, but they honored original quote. Left one bag over a light fixture when they left and and could have done a better job in cleaning our wood laminate floor, but overall did great job for price.

We had a leak on the roof which was repaired, Before the repair water damaged a part of the ceiling. Also in one of the bedrooms a plummer had so cut a piece of the wall to get thru to the pipes in the master bedroom. Re Nu came and took care of these problems in an efficient, professional and timely manner. Very satisfied with the service. Will definately use them again if necessary

I requested a quote via the company's website on a Sunday and recieved a call first thing Monday morning to setup an appointment. I was also called the night before the appointment to confirm and the next morning, the owner showed up within minutes of the scheduled time. We agreed on the work and price and within a day, I was contacted to see about doing the work on a Saturday. The workers showed up on time, were very professional and put out plastic and such to protect the furniture and floor. They insisted they would use the side gate and come in through the back door in order to avoid walking through the house (even after I offered to let them walk through the house to the garage which would have been a shorter distance). The guys that came were efficient and I don't think I ever saw them even stop to take a break. They started at 8:15am and finished by 1:00pm. Unfortunately, my AC broke the night before and they had to work in a hot house (sorry guys, I tried to get it fixed Friday night). Monday morning, everything was sanded and finished up. There was no mess for the work on Saturday and I don't know how they sanded without getting dust all over the house but things were always very clean as they cleaned and loaded things back in the truck througout the entire job. I painted the wall and there is really no flaws to be seen whatsoever. I had a lesser quote from another company that would do the work as a side job but I felt confident enough with Re Nu that I would get a professional experience so I paid the extra money, I'm glad I did.

The man who came to work for us was very professional. He was great. He did an excellent job. I would use their services in the future too.

We received the estimate and two days later they arrived promptly. It only took two hours and they protected all our furnishings. They were professional and did a great job.

I got an estimate from Phil at Renu Ceilings, but decided to go with a recommended a "handy-man" who was less money. What a costly mistake this was. This "handy-man" was supposed to have removed the popcorn from the ceilings and walls...yes some walls had popcorn! I asked the "handy-man" to remove and add new drywall and was shocked to see that he added a 1/2" of "mud" and attempted to smooth it out. It looked horrible and stuck out beyond the base board. I told them to replace it and they didn't even do what I had asked or agreed to. The popcorn wasn't even fully removed! My bad for hiring that neighborhood "handy-man" who claimed he was a pro. I called up Phil at Renu Ceilings and he came back to my house right away, and gave me another estimate. This time the estimate included repairing and fixing the damage that was done. Renu Ceiling's work was outstanding! I felt that their price was very fair based on what needed to be done and the quality of their work. I have seen the worst drywall work...and I have seen the best! Renu added a light knock-down texture that was very well done. Renu was on-time, on-estimate, and finished on-schedule. What else could I rate them on? These guys are pros and I would highly recommend them. The house looks new after the work and I couldn't say anything negative. Trust someone who hired the wrong guys first. Now that the house has been fixed...I can smile about Renu's name...they definitely repaired and "renewed" the look of my house. Thanks guys...your work is very much appreciated!

Renu came out and provided an estimate for the work, discussed it with me and then came out a second time to perform the agreed upon service. All work was done promptly and professionally.

When we called them, they scheduled the appointment and came in on time. They were very neat in both cutting the hole in the ceiling for the AC guys to do their work and in closing the hole up and patching the ceiling. They did excellent work overall.

The owner came out to give me a free estimate. The workers arrived on time. The job was completed in a professional manner. They said there would be no mess, and they were as good as their word.

Everything was first class. They're price came in as quoted. They did a great job and they were fast. They also did a good job of cleaning up.

Workers arrived right on time, assessed the area, prepared the scene with plastic to prevent a mess, creating a path to the door so as not to track dirt and plaster. The old ceiling was removed, insulation checked, new one installed and plastered and the place cleaned up in less than two hours. Contact with office was friendly and helpful. Business owner did the estimate and was also on time, professional and knowledgeable.

We had an issue with water stains on the popcorn ceiling in one of our bedrooms and a small patch in our garage. Leaky roof was replaced but we had to figure out what to do with those water stains and eventual deterioration of the ceilings in those areas. When I saw the RE NU Ceilings advertisement in my Angie's List magazine, I called them and scheduled an appt for an estimate. I did not bother calling for other estimates because I figured if this contractor was featured in the Angie's List Magazine, I knew I would be dealing with a professional who would give us a good quote. We were really surprised at how reasonable the quote was...wish I had called them sooner. The results are amazing!

The company was punctual and professional. They took extra care to insure dust and debris would remain in the work area and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. The workers were friendly and courteous and explained what they would be doing before doing it. When a problem occurred, they returned the next day, identified the problem immediately and fixed it without hesitation. My wife, who is a nit-picker, was very pleased with the results.

The company was responsive and professional as they answered my questions despite me not needing to hire them for service.

The office staff was prompt at returning our phone call to schedule an estimate. Phil was very friendly and informative during the walk-through. He was also prompt in returning a phone call that we had made to ask a follow up question after the estimate. On the date of service the servicemen showed up on time and prepped the rooms with plastic draping. Phil stopped by to inspect the space before the work got started. It took a few hours and they cleaned up pretty well when they were finished. However, they did leave a d*** in our front door and some texture residue on our lawn. The ceilings look great now that they have been primed and painted! We will use them again when we are ready to do our second floor ceiling.

This company was part of a team of professionals, under a general painting contractor, that performed exceptionally well insofar as their specific work was concerned. Included in their scope was the removal of the popcorn ceilings which was done quickly and cleanly, They were particularly careful to mask and protect those surfaces which were not selected for the knockdown texture and then produced a first class job throughout.

They did a great job and even cleaned up after themselves. My ceiling looks like new.

Arrived on time, safeguarded area , cleaned up completely you cannot notice where the patches are located. I will use them again if the need arises.

They did a great job. Staff was very professional and the work crew was courteous and took very good care of my home. It was important to hire a company that would do a good job and take care of the inside of my home. I was extremely happy and would highly recommend Re-Nu.

Due to water damage we had to remove the kitchen and bathroom cabinets and remove and replace the drywall. Everyone I came in contact with from the office staff to the team that completed the job was professional, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. At every point of contact all my concerns were addressed. They went beyond what I expected. They made sure that during the project they covered from ceiling to floor with a plastic sheet to make sure the rest of the house was not filled with dust. When they completed the job they made sure that the mess that was created due to the removal of the drywall was cleaned up. It did not look like anything had happened in the house. They made sure that every detail was taken care of. The final product was perfect.

They do popcorn ceiling removal and restoration of ceiling. I wanted to get the roof work done first and then the ceiling. So they did the work about two weeks after I had the roof repaired. I wanted to have the ceiling repaired since I had ceiling damage because of the roof leak. There were a couple of stains on the ceiling in certain areas in my family room. That?s why I contacted two handymen and gave up on that. I then found Renu Ceilings and found out that they not only do popcorn ceiling removal, but they can also fix an existing pop corn ceiling. They then gave me two choices out of which one was to repair the small areas that needed to be repaired or I could just go ahead and have the whole room redone as per my choice. They had to break down the pop corn ceiling, fix the damage and reapply it so that it would look like there was no problem there. That was exactly the way I wanted it to be even though it was more expensive. The finish work was very good and the quality of their work was very good. Their responsiveness was very good. I would most likely use their services again. I received the quote from the owner of the company. He couldn?t have been lovelier on the phone. He did warn me that when they apply the pop corn ceiling, they had to put some tapes on my wall. The chances were pretty good that when they remove the tapes, then some of the wall paint would come out. That was unfortunately what happened. It was unfortunate that Renu didn?t have the ability to either give a suggestion or didn?t say that they would charge an extra amount. It?s not their fault since they told me about everything in advance.

Phil, Willy & Billy showed up on time and ready to work. These guys were very professional and they didn't waste time. The end product was flawless and professionally done. Billy & Willy are really nice guys who take ownership of their craft which led to a high quality finished product. Phil was very professional and was able to work around my schedule.
