Scott sealed the hole in the attic and repaired the area around it with a new piece of wood. He also patched the hole from the living room and painted it so that the site of the repair blended with the color of the paint on the ceiling. Scott was courteous and professional. He spent a few hours at the house and even helped to look for the entry point at the back of the house that the rodents used to get into the attic. The charge for the work was very reasonable.

Scott came in and had to remove the acrylic sliders from screened in porch. He put new screens in. He put everything back to normal. He was very clean. Everything was done in order. He also mad two screens for inside my home. He was always on time. He was very nice man to talk to. He always delivered on his promises.

Scott came out and gave an estimate in a timely manner. He was able to completely repair our leaks CORRECTLY. He replaced rotten wood and brought matching tiles, grout, etc. so the repair doesn't look like a repair. We have paid a FEW times to have these leaks repaired by different roofing companies. Scott was the only one that actually fixed our leaks! We had one roofing company actually tell us that it would be a lot of work and no guarantee that it wouldn't leak. Scott knows Roofing!!! He took his time to meticulously correct and repair these leaks. He took photos of his work to show us what he was doing. If you need your roof repaired we would highly recommend him. It took several visits to complete the job because he is doing the work himself and these were large leaks. He has pride in his work and follows up to make sure leaks are sealed when it rains.

Scott went by within a day to give an estimate for a roof leak. I had 3 or 4 previous roofers and another handyman a frined recommeded to give estimates for repaurs. The other handyman went out 3 times to temporarily cover/patch the leaks and yet it still leaked inside. Between the high costs quoted by the roofers and the ineotness of the handyman, I'd almost given up. I tried here at Angie's List and found Scott's ad. Like I said above, he was there within 24 hrs, gave a reasonable estimate, and set an appointment for the next weekend to do enough repairs to stop the leaks until the full roof repair could be done. The other handyman had put holes in a flat roof that had no problems by nailing down plastic sheets, the plastic over the real problems wore out quickky, causing the keaks to return. Out of all the workers that came out, only Scott found the actual problems and articulated exactly what was needed. No embellishments, no attempts to jack up the cost with bs, he was honest, capable, and extremely reasonable. Within a week he was back out to do the temporary repairs, and we're about to do the permanent repair (the ac had to be disconnected before it could be done). In short, the and quot;expertsand quot;, some of which were found through here, didn't mention the tarps and plastic would wear out quickly and gave estimates ranging from $6,,000 to $10,000 to do the repaies; the other handyman put holes in a perfectky good roof, while not fixing the real leak; only Scott knew what the problem was, and fixed it quickoy and reasonably.

When I called Scott for an estimate (having found him and his positive reviews on Angie’s List), it was about cutting an opening in a ceiling to allow access to a part of my shallow attic, so insulation could be pumped into an area where it was absent because an air duct was in the way. Scott generously spent at least an hour (no charge) examining and explaining the situation so logically and in such detail that in the end I felt I thoroughly understood why it made more sense not to go ahead with that plan. Right then, I knew this was a man of knowledge, experience and integrity. So I brought up a different issue—I had already decided to have a ridge vent installed on my roof because the only ventilation up there was a non-functioning turbine (I bought the house less than a year ago, and was/am working my way through the “issues”). From the reviews, from my own impressions, and with his many years of roof-related experience, I trusted Scott and happily gave him the job (at a considerably better price than other estimates I’d gotten!). A few days later, it was all done—the vent installed, the turbine removed and the roof closed up properly, and a whole lot of nails that had been slowly migrating upward under shingles had been driven back down--but not before I learned a lot more from Scott. He invited me up onto the roof (twice!) and showed me exactly what was going on up there, and what he could and would do, and how and why. As a first-time homeowner (and so-called “senior citizen”), I was delighted by Scott’s ability and willingness to enlighten me, step by step, regarding stuff I’d previously known little or nothing about. After the job was done, and he'd left, I noticed that a small patch of bubbled-out stucco, low on the side of the house where his ladder had been propped up, had cracked open—not that his ladder had ever touched it—Scott is meticulous, conscious, and careful about such stuff. Although he’d had nothing to do with the bubbling out of the stucco, and I imagine the crack would have happened eventually, anyway, Scott very kindly came back and immediately fixed the problem—neatly and thoroughly—and charged me nothing. Furthermore, as he worked, he gave me one more much-appreciated lesson regarding what goes on under the outside surface of a house. Reliable AND educational! Scott is a gem of a handyman!

Perfect from start to finish. I actually stumbled on Scott after the 3 previous handyman either didn't call back or didn't show up, (as seems to be the usual response by handymen in Florida.) I was extremely impressed by his professionalism. He was punctual and willing to start at any time it was convent for ME. (Imagine that). He assured me that I would be his only customer until he was done. He gave me the time frame and was finished when he said he would be. (Also unusual in Florida). I was extremely impressed with his knowledge as gave me a step by step narrative of what the job involved, and was the first handyman/contractor that stayed exactly on his price. I was impressed by the results because I was afraid it woul look like a patchwork job and it was beautifully done. But what really impressed me was Scott himself. He radiated integrity and total pride in his ability and to top it off, one of the most down to earth, nicest, and pleasant people I've met in a while. It was a total pleasure and I would like to thank the three before him that did not show up!

I couldn't be more satisfied. Scott was on time, charged a fair price, and did outstanding work. Plus, he was in touch with me throughout the entire process. I would recommend him to anyone who wants a hassle-free experience.

when i called scott he answered me promptly, was very amicable on the phone and we scheduled for him to come and give me a free estimate which he did as we agreed, i showed him all i wanted done and he gave me a 400 dollars price, and so we set up a date for him to come and start the job, he called me a day or 2 before to let me know he couldn't start on the day promised, which was a monday, but that he would come on wednesday, i didn't mind since i wasn't in a hurry, i even thought this was good news since other handymans i have known simply don't show up so getting a call was refreshing. so wednesday he did show up a bit later than i expected, and here comes the only bad aspect in my review: he showed up with his daughter and granddaughter, sweet little girl about 4 years old, but i thought this was very inappropriate and i do understand sometimes childcare gets complicated but liability wise is not very smart and is not very professional, in all it just didn't seem right to me, so after a little bit i decided to tell him i wasn't comfortable with the situation and he was totally understanding and very respectful, the girls left and he went on with his work. from that point forward he did all his work in a professional manner, orderly, clean, carefully, he repaired all that was discussed and he even noticed two doors that didn't close properly, and fixed them for free!! he brought it up! i was amazed by that. he had no complaints of anything i wanted done more thoroughly (i'm a bit picky) and he knew what he was doing. he had a very good disposition and overall im happy with the job.

Scott cleaned the gutters around my pool screen. Scott did an excellent job. First, he cleaned the gutters by hand, then used a hose to rinse through the gutter. He also used a blower to get all leaves out of the side roof valleys. He cleaned up and bagged all debris. Job well done. Highly recommend.

He came when he said that he was coming, his work was very neat and professional. I would definitely recommend him to family and friends.

It went very well. I had called Scott about a week prior to the date above and made the appt for a date when I knew the Ikea items would be here. At the last minute, he had to reschedule, but came the next day and did all that was then on my list. I now have a new list and will call him again.

I contacted Scott after seeing he has good rating. The first conversation went well and per conversation I texted him the list of work needed. But he never replied. After a couple more text messages i told him if you still do not respond, I will have to leave negative feedback. Then he called me back quite soon. After discussion, he promised he would take a look at my apartment on Sunday morning and call me back with estimate. But again he did NOT call me back and today (Monday) he texted me saying he could not take the job! And he even said he reported me on Angie's list because I threatened him negative feedback!! This is ridiculous and I have used many handymen never never had such a bad experience!!

Scott went above and beyond to search and find the wood panels to match the existing 1972-built wood panels. The panels had to be stained and customized to fit. They look perfect. My roof is also aging. Scott noticed some missing tiles. Once on the roof he pointed out some areas that were in need of some tender loving care. Scott replaced the tiles, repaired the areas needing help and even blew the leaves off my roof. He left everything nice and cleaned up. Scott was good with calling with updates on his progress. I would recommend Scott and I will be hiring him again.

Scott is a very knowledgeable and honest man. He saved me a thousand dollars in unnecessary repairs quoted by other roofers. Actually he even improved on this initial price guesstimate provided, based on my description over the phone. After inspecting the job he decided the fix was simple and not expensive at all. He is very knowledgeable of my 1940 house and how it was built (plumbing coming in via a roof tank) none of the other folks who looked at my roof to provide an estimate had the least idea there was plumbing up there which should of had to be dealt with should a larger job be needed. I am very happy and will recommend Scott to my friends and neighbors.

Scott did a really good job. He could not come on the days he said he was going to but that was not his fault since it rained for 2 days and all the work he was doing was outside. Once he came he did a great job; much better then I thought it was going to be. I was very empressed with his skills. I am keeping his name and number for any other jobs I might have come up in the future.

My deck was in very bad condition. Scott tore down the old deck and completely rebuilt it. The deck looks great. Scott is a perfectionist about his work. He will return to paint the deck.

It was a pleasure having Scott do work at my home. He came over on two separate occasions and was always on time. In fact, he met me at Home Depot and helped get the supplies. This was a great help to me. Scott is a self starter and even fixed a large hole in the wall very fast. He built cabinets installed cabinets and painted. He left the job site very clean and hauled the trash away. I will hire Scott again.

Scott was very thorough. He blew the leaves off the roof, which is quite extensive. He included the adjacent screen without me even mentioning it. The screen has never looked cleaner. I am very happy with his work.

Scott,, showed up on a Saturday to give an estimate, on a house i don't own yet but worked a 1/2 1/2 deal with owner to satisfy the underwriter..we explained the time frame for work completion. necessary for the house closing.. Scott was excellent, met him at home depot for supplies and materials on Sunday morning..and he started the job,, He found more damage and a flashing leak in the pump room.. He worked Sunday and Tuesday completing a good percentage of the work. he explained he had a previous commitment 2 days during that week but would devote all other to this house and job.. he did as he said and a week later we had the re inspection which was passed with flying colors.. all new wood was primed and painted before being install. all corners and angles were perfect.. The inspector or the house complimented on the work and took cards from Scott..the inspect had 31 yrs inspecting and stated his work was excellent.. we added gutter and front soffit vent replacement as part of the job.. his price is very fair.. could not ask for a better experence

He is knowledgeable, clean, quick, and efficient. He is also a very nice guy and I would highly recommend him. He is reasonably priced.
