Steve, did a great job, we were ready to purchase new bedroom furniture ..but after perusing the internet and looking around in the stores and finding nothing that came close to what we were looking for we decided to see if we could have the furniture repaired after our move. Steve worked very diligently and through his perseverance was able to fix the swivel coffee table. The swivel mechanism was very complicated and now the coffee table is like new. I would certainly recommend Steve for any of your furniture repairs.

The furniture repair went very well. Steve is a very competent person who I believe can repair anything. I had called other repairmen who reviewed some photos I sent to them and at least two said that the furniture had to be removed from my home and repaired in their shop which I'm sure would have been more costly. Originally, when I spoke to Steve he said that he did all repairs in the home and that he was sure he could fix the furniture even though it was sight unseen. He said it was not necessary to send him any photos. Steve is very capable and repaired everything including my attic ladder which needed repair to my satisfaction. The cost may have been a bit more than I had expected, but I am completely satisfied with the workmanship and his outstanding knowledge. I have not had any furniture repair in many years so it was an unknown item in terms of price.. I highly recommend Steve of AAA Furniture to anyone who needs furniture repair as he is very qualified as an expert in furniture repair. I am completely satisfied!

After noticing the top corner of our bedroom dresser had been damaged, I began to look on the web for furniture repair companies in our area. After contacting several, the majority wanted us to bring down our dresser (which is large), to their shop. When I contacted Steven Turok, he first asked me to describe the extent of the damage. He made an appointment to come out the house and inspect the damage himself at no charge. He provided us with a reasonable quote for the repair work without removing the dresser from our home, and we immediately hired him to come out the next day. My wife and I are extremely happy with his work. It took him a couple of hours, and our furniture piece looks like new! Steve was very thorough in his approach, explaining what was required and in the execution of the work itself. I was impressed by how meticulous he is, and the quality of his workmanship. I would recommend him to anyone without hesitation. I do not feel you will be disappointed.

My 93-year old mom had a very comfortable, upholstered swivel chair in her bedroom that she used constantly. When it broke, she was heartbroken. We tried replacing it, but it was difficult and expensive, since the size she needed had to be custom-ordered and involved a long wait period. Then we had the idea to have her old chair repaired. We found Steve Turok, who owns AAAFurniture Repair, online and decided to take a chance. Steve came to the house, made an assessment, and then returned within a week with the necessary part and was able to fix the chair right in my mom's home. This particular repair involved Steve's going to the trouble of searching for a non-standard size swivel which is no longer manufactured--which he did. He was very sensitive to how important the chair was to my mother and went the distance to help her. He was friendly, reliable, reasonably priced and did a great job. We heartily recommend him.

AAA Furniture repair is a one person operation (Steve). He returned my initial call the same day. I explained the problem. Steve then took about 10-15 minutes on the phone to explain in detail what happen and the proposed process it fix it. Clearly Steve is very experience in his trade. We set up and appointment for him to come out in 2 days. He not only called the night before to confirm but also called to tell me he was on his way. He arrived on time. He gave me a written $ estimate and said it would take 7 to 10 days to complete because of the drying times between the finish coats. He took the chest to his workshop. He called me a week later and told me it was finished but he would like to keep it for a couple more days to make sure new finished dried completely. We setup appointment for Steve to deliver the chest back to us. Steve arrived on time and the chest looks great.

Steve, Did an outstanding job, he not only replaced the sheared bolt and the one on the other arm because of the age and fatigue he felt the meatal had gone through. He also replaced some of the other fasteners which where not part of the original job but he took it upon himself to do this again due to the age and metal fatigue. Great Craftsman with great skills. he didn't even charge any extra for all the additional work. Personable, knowledgeable, professional, courteous and someone who takes pride in doing the work correctly.

Steve called a few days in advance to schedule the time then reconfirmed the appointment prior to coming. The morning of the appt he called to let us know he was on his way (on time). He explained his steps of his evaluation process (i.e. what the couch would need and what it wouldn't). He was very upfront with his pricing which was incredibly reasonable considering how much time and effort would be needed. Steve was incredibly pleasant to work with, super polite, and professional. It was clear to me that his 35+ years of experience have given him the knowledge and know-how to fix nearly any problem. I HIGHLY recommend Steve.

I called Steve after a flood damaged my antique wooden furniture. He explained that there would be an on-site estimate fee that could be deducted from the final payment. He arrived on time for his appointment and showed that he was knowledgeable, professional and pleasant. He took the chairs to his shop for work, but said he would do the desk on-site when he delivered the chairs. He was true to his word. He completed the work of cleaning and tightening the legs on the chairs within two weeks. When he delivered the chairs, he cleaned and polished the desk. His work was excellent. He restored the furniture to better than its original state, even going the extra mile and conditioning the leather seats of the chairs. The cost was exactly what he had quoted. I could not be happier with the result, and will definitely use this company again if the need arises.

I called Steve based on Angie's List recommendations. He came when he said he would, figured out immediately what the problem was (broken brackets), and made the repair at a fair price. The whole process went well. I had an exceptionally pleasant experience dealing with Steve. I highly recommend him for his knowledge and efficiency. I called Steven to discuss touching up six dining room chairs. I told him the chairs were made by Stanley Furniture and that they had a double cane back, cane seat and were solid wood with a very dark finish. I explained to him that I had recently purchased them off Craigslist for a great price, but that three of the chairs had minor scratches and/or small nicks and they all needed to have the cane touched up in several places. I asked him his price and he told me $45 dollars a chair. Although I thought this was high, based on his reviews, I was willing to pay the price. We scheduled an appointment at my house for September 10th. Steven arrived on time and was very professional and courteous. However, he informed me the cost would now be $60.00 a chair. I was surprised at the increase because I had fully explained what needed to be done and described the style of the chairs. I was disappointed, but had him proceed with the work because we were having guests a few days later and I wanted the chairs to look nice. When he finished (applied stain with a small brush) he asked me to look at the chairs. I noticed numerous places on every chair that had been missed. He immediately fixed the missed spots. However, I think, this is something he should have noticed before he asked me to check the chairs. We discussed what I should do if I needed to do other touch ups. He told me in the future to touch up spots with a permanent black marker. Which, I already had to do, because after he left I noticed additional missed spots in the cane. In addition to the increase in price, my other concern is that both the cane and wood have a lovely glow to their finish and the product he used appears to have a matte finish. As a result, once the stain dried you can clearly see the areas that were touched up. This is disappointing for the price. I also assumed he would polish the chairs, but this would have been an additional charge per chair. Since I had worked in the furniture business myself, I know what results a technician can achieve touching up light scratches and nicks. Unfortunately, I did not get the results I expected. In my opinion, I could have got similar results by purchasing a permanent marker and doing the work myself. Again, he was a very nice man, professional and very courteous, but for me I think his price was high for the end result. Thank you.

The repair of one of the legs went as expected which was completely broken off. Steve also checked stability of other three legs and picked up and delivered the table as promised. There were no unexpected surprises and we were satisfied with his work. We would use him again when necessary

Steve came exactly on time each of the three times he was at my house. He gave the written estimate for the work which I thought was good so we agreed on a time for him to return. My dresser and chest of drawers are well-loved, well-used and well over 100 years old. He repaired several places (including drawer fronts that had fallen off or were in the process of falling off) and greatly improved the sliding of the drawers in and out of the chest. Since these pieces are so old they are on wooden tracks only and it involves quite a bit more than just replacing hardware. Steve took a drawer back to his shop to repair but did the rest of the work at my house. He then cleaned (and I mean REALLY cleaned) the surfaces and then covered them in lemon oil since the wood was so dry. When he was done I was very pleased with the overall work but there were still two drawers which did not want to close evenly. We discussed it and Steve asked me to use them a little and see what I thought and that he would return if I was not happy. Less than a week later, he called me and said that he had an idea about those drawers and would it be OK for him to return and try it out. He returned and his idea really helped AND he put another coat of oil of the pieces. I am extremely pleased with my furniture. They are still true to their characters, but are functional again and look really lovely. This type of work requires a craftsman who can really problem solve. I am very happy with Steve and AAA Furniture Repair and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

The futon, which is very heavy, had a cracked leg which I glued back together, but could not re-attach. I explained my problem to Steven on the phone. He came at the appointed time.and he and I were able to lift off the heavy cushion. He attached the leg with brackets to hold it firmly, and did the same to the opposite leg as well. He tightened all the screws which hold the whole piece together so that it was much more stable than it had been. We then replaced the cushion and the job was done. Steven is courteous and competent. He is all a tradesman should be. I would happily reengage him should the need arise.

AAA Furniture repair was a great experience. I felt that he was experienced, and honest and didn't try to upsell me with other non essential fixes. I also appreciated he attention to detail and quality work. I would definitely use him for any furniture repairs that I may need in the future. Overall great job!!!

He let me know within three hours when he would be coming, then called to say he was on his way. When he arrived, he looked at the cabinet, told me what had gone wrong ( wrong casters badly installed) and what he would have to do to repair it. He reinforced underneath the base of the cabinet where the old wood had splintered, installed the correct casters, repaired other damage that had occurred when the cabinet fell over. He added a brace in the back because he said it was top heavy, but did it with only screws so it could be removed. He stood the very heavy cabinet upright again, put all the many drawers back in place, checking each one to see if there was any damage. Because he had glued the reinforcing wood into place as well as screwing it, he placed newspaper under the cabinet to catch any possible drips and told me to remove it the next day. Steve was friendly, very professional and courteous. My cabinet can now stand for another hundred or so years.

Steve, the owner, was very punctual. He came out and gave us an estimate on what he was going to do and explained specifically what he would do and ?hat the work would probably not be perfect since we had a lot of damage. We were surprised! It was fantastic! He lacquered the dining room table, coffee table and end table three times. It was very tedious work and he also rescrewed in one of the legs on the coffee table and replaced the legs on the end table. He also lacquered the dining room table legs and did all the table leafs. He was not happy with the job he did on the two nightstands but one of them had water damage and I had little hope for it but it looks great! Again Steve took a tough job and made the best of it which was beyond what I had hoped for. He put in 4 hours of work. I would definitely have him come back and restore any wood furniture I had in my home. He also recommended what to put on the furniture to keep it looking beautiful. He does require you to pay in cash because he has been burned so many times by bad checks and credit cards. Steve has a great knowledge of restoring wood and he makes it a point to let you know he does not refinish furniture he repairs and restores.

My dining room credenza had been badly damaged by movers. Damage was structural as well as cosmetic. When the repair was completed, the piece was good as new. Steven Turok is an old-fashioned professional who takes pride in his work!
