The repairman initially diagnosed the problem as a bad timer. We had to wait over the weekend for the new part to come in, which was not a problem. He came and replaced the part with no difficulty, however 2 days later the same problem reappeared. When we called them back, the same repairman came in and this time did something different to the unit, and told me that it would no longer be a problem. My only concern is that we paid $240 for a new timer that might not have been needed, and that the true problem was only found with the last service call. Consequently I would be hesitant to call these folks again because of this apparent misdiagnosis.

What a joke! I call them for the high comments on Angie list, I tell them the exact issue with my dryer over the phone. I tech comes out turns on the machine and within literally 20 seconds without doing absolutely nothing else, he tells me that there are potential issues with the machine ranging from $140 to $250+. I obviously asked him to tell me which would be, as a new unit is on the $400-500 range. He then tells me that they don't do that and starts pushing for me to commit to $140 job which is labor only (remove potential clogged). BTW, removing a clogged is as easy as emptying a vacuum cleaner. But the bottom line to me came when he told me that to diagnosis and the $140 job would take him 15-20min. So, they are charging me a $420 p/h rate??? Seriously??? They can't even give me an exact diagnoses or quote and within 5min of being in my door wants to push a $420 hourly rate. I kindly walked the tech to my door, waved goodbye, and came to share this awful experience with my Angie's list community.

Good afternoon Mr. [Member Name Removed], Thank you for your review and the opportunity to go over the services we provide. My name is Missy, I am the supervisor who who answered your call and set your appointment. When you initially called and explained it was taking a very long time to dry the clothing in the dryer, I explained in detail the options that could result in this problem. I explained that 95 % of the time we find that the dryer duct vents are filled with lint debris which restricts the air flow causing the unit to take multiple cycles to fully dry a load. I explained to you that we do not clean dryer duct vents and only work on the actual appliance. I explained our technicians will come to your residence to diagnose a specific problem you are having for $19.99. I also explained that we do not charge by the hour, but that after the diagnosis the technician will provide an estimate for your approval to complete the repair. If you decided to continue with the repair the $19.99 would be included in the estimate and not additional to it, and if you did not wish to proceed with a repair then you are only charged $19.99 for the diagnosis. Our policies are also on the home page of our website at [Removed Hyperlink]. Now the the process of cleaning Dryer duct vents often involves cleaning out the hose leading from the dryer to the wall and then through the "walls" to where the vent emerges to the outside. Often the exit for a dryer duct vent is located on the roof of the residence. Again, I advised you that we only work on the actual appliance to correct a malfunction. I also explained that 5% of the time the blower (a mechanical piece) in the unit may be clogged or broken. I then advised you on how to remove the hose from the back of the unit and monitor whether sufficient air was blowing out of the unit to be able to determine if the blower was compromised. You thanked my for my assistance and said you wanted to remove the hose and check for yourself before sending out our technician. We ended that conversation and then you called back a short time later and stated to me that you did not feel any air flow coming from the back of the unit. You decided you would like to have a technician confim the diagnosis and provide an estimate to correct the problem. We immediately set the appointment. Mardey (your technician) arrived and confirmed the diagnosis that the unit blower was compromised. He was not sure if the blower was clogged or damaged but that it was "from his professional experience" not operating correctly. It was at that time, after observing the model and make of your dryer (not all dryers are the same) that Mardey provided you with (2) estimates to complete the repair. (A) $140.00 was disassemble the dryer completely ( which entails removing the housing and tub ) to remove any debris blocking the blower and put the unit back together again, or (B) $235.00+ tax was to disassemble the dryer completely (which entails removing the housing and tub ) to replace the damaged blower (if that was the case) and then reassemble the dryer back together again. It is not an easy process and that estimate included parts and labor. It is our policy to diagnose the problem and provide an estimate for approval (or rejection) prior to conducting the work. It is 100% acceptable that you do not feel the estimates he provided are what you want to pay to repair the dryer, however, to be fair you cannot repair your dryer with a vacuum as the unit must be taken apart completely to gain access to the blower itself. We can only provide an honest estimate that is competitive with the industry standard. As we do not charge by the hour, your assessment that we were charging $420.00 per hour is not accurate. We train our technicians to be efficient and exceptional at what they do because these are desirable traits most clients' look for when hiring professionals to repair their appliances, however, being efficient and knowledgeable does not decrease the value or the experience of the technician conducting the work, nor the does it undermine the quality of the service being provided. We stand behind our repairs and warranty all work we provide. It is important to our entire team that our clients understand our services and are extremely satisfied with the results of the repairs we complete. It is unfortunate that we were unable to provide an acceptable price to complete the repair but again Mardey provided an estimate that is competitive in the industry for the work he would need to perform to correct the malfunction. This is an exceptional opportunity to support our policy of providing the estimate upfront so that our clients (you) have the explanation of the services about to be performed, and give you the opportunity to decline if you do not wish to proceed. I have to say that this was, by far, the BEST experience I have ever had with an appliance repair company. The most friendly, reliable, honest, reasonable, knowledgeable and professional people. Richard came out--diagnosed the problems easily--and gave told me the cost to do the repair. I was expecting it to be far more expensive--and was even more impressed when he told me he should be back the next day with the parts to do the repair--and he was! I am so pleased with the service and results that I will NEVER call another appliance company again--and will refer AAA Century Appliance to everyone I know!

The repair guy was fine. They came out, the assessment was correct, they ordered a part, the part installation was correct, but they ordered the wrong color. They didn't pay attention to the color of the appliance, and so now we have a two-toned dishwasher. My father was like, it works, it's fine. He's good with it, so I'm good with it. The price seemed reasonable, all told. The thing works, so yay. Details guys, details, details. To me, professionalism is kind of a rough category because they were responsive, the guy was nice, we had good interaction with dispatch mostly. At the end of it when we were like "dude, look," he was like well, we could get it, it would cost extra, it would delay, and I'm like well why didn't you tell us that in the beginning. So we'll pay extra; it's $25, because look in the kitchen. Nothing else in the kitchen is two-toned.

This is the second time I called this company. First time, I had a problem with the washer and they fixed it right away. I was very happy with the technician, very professional. This time I called because the Ice Maker was not working on my refrigerator. Raul, the technician, showed up between the time slot given and he was very nice and professional. He diagnosed the problem and order the part. He changed it following day, but ice maker still didn't work. (Part came defective from manufacturer) He went far and beyond to look for the cause of the problem and fix the refrigerator, which he did, at not extra cost for us (and during long holiday weekend) Raul was outstanding, professional and very nice. We were very happy with his job. I totally recommend him.

I noticed my fridge not cooling and items inside were warm. I called AAA and a young man responded out in a timely manner. I forgot his name but he was very professional and had a good knowledge. The warming element wasn't working properly. He got the fridge working while the new part was on order. A few days later the defective part was replaced. Fridge is working fine. Would definitely use them again.

Service was excellent and a breath of fresh air since my experience with repair companies has been less than great since moving to Florida. First I issues getting someone from the company to pick up the phone. I left messages and tried scheduling an appointment online. After the second day of trying I finally got a hold of someone and they told me that it would take two days to get an appointment. A tech finally came out and diagnosed the problem to be the compressor. He told my husband that they do not service this brand and that I had to call LG. I called LG right away who referred me to several authorized repair conmpany including AAA Century. I told the guy and he said the LG is wrong although LG is not excluded on the AAA century website as one of the brands they do not serve. He charged us $19.99 and left. My husband left the house shortly after and called me to tell me that the technician stayed inside our community and started fishing in th community lake (which is not allowed). I got a little worried and asked my husband to come back a little later to make sure he did not stay and return to the house. My husband came back about 20 min and the guy was still standing there fishing. It seems to me that this company is only after the $20 fee and they want to move on with their day. It felt like a scam. I will not use them again.

We have gone over your comments and have spoken to the technician as well as office staff to review where we could have made a mistake in our service? From our review, we feel there is a good chance there was a miscommunication? We understand that you were not present during the service call so we would like to recap what transpired to better assist you if you have any further questions or concerns? You rated a C for punctuality, however the technician was at the residence 10 min before your husband arrived? As per the request, the technician diagnosed the Lg refrigerator's cooling issue and found that the compressor of the LG refrigerator was malfunctioning. Since the unit is only 5 years old the compressor should be covered as "In Warranty" service by the manufacture and the compressor should be provided to you for free by LG. Your husband, who was present, also asked the technician to diagnose the dishwasher which he thought had a leaking issue. Our service call fee is $19.99 per appliance, and your husband was charged the $19.99 for the diagnosis and testing of the dishwasher only, not the refrigerator. As for LG referring you to us as an "Authorized Servicer" for "In Warranty" service , we deeply apologise for this on LG's behalf. Unfortunately, we do not provide "In Warranty" service for LG and we have requested multiple times that they remove us from their "Authorized Servicer" list. An Authorized Servicer for LG will bill LG for services directly, when they provide In Warranty service on LG products. Although our technicians are LG manufacture trained and qualified, there is a difference between being manufactured authorized technician and being an "Authorized Servicer" company who provides "In Warranty" service. Again, we have asked LG to remove our company as an "Authorized Servicer" from their list, but they continue to refer their customers to us for "In Warranty" work. Our office staff and technicians are aware of this and always explain in detail the difference. Our clients are never charged when we diagnose a repair covered by LG "In Warranty". Richard , the technician, referred your husband back to LG because your compressor should be covered for free by LG since the unit is only 5 years old. Finally, we deeply apologise if you felt threatened in any way by Richard fishing on his lunch break near your home? He had an opening in his schedule for an hour and 1/2 to have lunch and before his next service call. He does have a hobby of bringing his fishing pole with him to use that time to fish sometimes. As a company we do not mind this at all, however, he has been advised that he should always remove his uniform shirt during his break and also to only fish where it is authorised. We have never had a complaint filed by any of our clients' in the past, so this was a good opportunity to remind him to always remove his uniform if he wishes to fill in his lunch hour with his hobby. I sincerely hope this addresses the concerns you stated above? We apologise again for any confusion or inconvenience and thank you for this opportunity to explain our services and company policies. WOW.....great service. Employee was extremely professional, diagnosed problem immediately. Also, had part in van and replaced in less than 30 minutes. (I did give them model number before arriving so hopefully they would have part needed, and they did) We now have ice!!!!! Wonderful experience. Will call again. Price was a little on the high side, but ultimately worth it.

The tech came out and gave me a price, we decided to get a new fridge. The $19.99 charge is more than fair. Plus, they will discount that amount if they end up doing more work. The only item I ranked below "A" is responsiveness. Their 888 number has too many prompts and it takes too long to reach a live human. I have another appointment setup with them for today for my dishwasher. I have tried to reach them to confirm but I received a voicemail message. For an office that is only open M-F, I would expect them to always answer the phone.

Computer part had to be replaced and it fixed the problem. What I liked about AAA Century was they have a low diagnostic fee of $20. I appreciate that because sometimes it is not worth it to repair an appliance. Most places charge $75 and up just to lock you into having to use them to repair. I did use them for the repair and the repairman was prompt and professional.

The repairman tried to fix it but couldn't. He thought it wasn't the machine but maybe something electrical. Whatever part he thought would fix the repair wasn't used. I paid for the service call only. Eventually I bought a new washing machine.

I contacted them for my daughter, who resides in Pembroke Pines. The lady that answered the phone, Misty, was upbeat, friendly, compassionate and is a real asset to the company. Representative, Raul, arrived, on time. Unfortunately, what was wrong with the washing machine, was not able to be repaired, due to its' age, and unavailability of the necessary part. Raul was informative, polite, and complete. It was a very pleasant experience, and I wouldn't hesitate to use their services, anytime, in the future. I was quite pleased to learn that they are opening a facility further north, to accommodate Palm Beach County residents. They're great
