Description of Work: My heat pump and AC unit that I purchased from Kobie is less than 1 year old (installed Sept 23, 2015). Over the 4th of July 2016 the compressor stopped working and we had no AC. We contacted Kobie for emergency service. The technician responded in a timely fashion but the air only stayed on for 2 hours and then went off again the same day on the 4th of July. {We're lucky we didn't have a house full of guests!)The first technician also charged us $100 for the 'labor'. I had to contact Kobie again and a second technician came out, diagnosed and 'fixed' the issue. The air stayed for another 2 hours and then went off again. I contacted Kobie for the third time in less than 2 days. The heat in the house reached 86 degrees. We spent 2 sleepless nights in a house without AC in a Florida summer in Southwest Florida. The 3rd technician diagnosed the issue, called Trane, fixed the problem and the AC has now stayed on at least for now. I'm concerned about the lack of expertise with the heat pump/air handler configuration that Kobie sold us and installed. I'm also concerned about the reliability of the unit. I have contacted the President of the company via phone and email to discuss how our concerns for the unit's reliability and dependability can be addressed. I haven't received the same level of response as I did when I was shopping for a new unit. He has returned my calls yet. The technicians were professional and friendly. The service was prompt although when you're watching the temperature go up to the middle of a Florida summer, every minute counts! |But the fact is it took 3 tries to fix the issue, I'm getting no return calls to discuss my concerns, so I'm giving them a C-.
