Excellent service. Originally found this company when my sisters ac system failed. One company wanted to charge for new system, Shades diagnosed problem and repaired old system for a few hundred bucks. Very honest. I have since had them service my ac unit and will continue to use them.

Art is very professional. He did call to reschedule once because a different customer had an a/c breakdown and we were just getting a tune-up. I completely understood because I would not want to be without air right now and am glad to know that he would get here quickly if ours broke. After finishing the tune-up, he explained what he did and what we can do to make our a/c more efficient. Our bedroom is on the opposite side of the house from the a/c unit. We always run the bedroom fan at night and never use covers because it isn't cold enough in the summer. We thought that was normal this time of year. Art said our unit was running good and didn't need any additional service. However, I woke up this morning feeling chilled and grabbing the covers! I should have ordered tune-up in the spring. Art didn't try to push any additional repairs even though we got a discounted price through Angie's List. Very honest and knowledgable.

The reason I called was that I had 36 people over our home for a luncheon. Even though I lowered my thermostat earlier in the day, the air conditioner did not feel as though it was putting out cold air. So I thought I must have "frozen" the system or that the system was defective. I called Art of Shades AC. Art called back, set up a time and arrived within the time limit. Art introduced himself and i knew just by looking at the guy that he was an honest and intelligent person. He lived up to my expectations. Please be aware that I am NOT mechanically inclined. Art looked at the air handler first and quickly determined that the fan switch was on low. He raised it to medium. Art said that the system looked clean or mold, etc. Art then went and checked the air conditioner. He then said that all looked well and there was not action he needed to take or repairs to be done. A dishonest or nonprofessional could have easily taken advantage of the situation. Art did not. If you do not use Art, you are doing yourself a disservice. I will use him again.

Absolutely the best, I'd never call anyone else now and I've used a lot of different A/C company's over the last 30 years, until I found Shade's.

This is the first time Art has serviced my system. He arrived on time and completed the checkup in a very careful and professional manner. He was courteous, pleasant, and knowledgeable throughout the visit. He found nothing wrong and made no attempt to sell me anything additional. I will definitely use his company again. When our A/C went out, we called Shade's Air Conditioning and Heating to schedule an appointment based on the excellent Angie's List reviews. Art responded quickly and came out to the house within 24 hours. He diagnosed a minor problem and repaired it immediately. Art then fully inspected our air conditioning system and fixed a few minor issues that did not require any new parts. He cleaned up the entire work area and left everything even better than it was before the appointment. Our air conditioning was back up running and cooling our home again in no time. This took about an hour and that's all we were charged for! Art is a truly competent professional with personal integrity and all the necessary expertise in his field. In our 25 years experience as Florida homeowners, Shade's Air Conditioning and Heating is by far the BEST in our area. We will be using Shade's as our heating and air conditioning service provider from now on. In fact, we've already recommended Shade's to a neighbor and some friends, too. Based on a friends Angies list recommendation I used Shades to diagnose and fix a minor heating issue. Arthur came to condo and within 10 minutes determined that it was just a fuse, he reset it and refused to take any $$$$. I now understand his A+ rating. Highly recommend based on his true professionalism.

Arthur from Shade's came out and evaluated the situation gave me his opinion of the old systems and listened to my concerns and got back to me within a few days with his estimate. We agreeded on the price and the installed was completed and inspected to my satisfaction. They where on time and worked hard while completeing the install. We selected two High End 16SEER units to maximize the savings. The end results is that we are cooler now with the better air distribution and quiter operation and we are very satisfied with everything including the savings we now enjoy.

Owner worked with his own employee (no subs) to install the system and provided ducts in areas that other HVAC companies said would be too difficult to reach. Additional returns were added to two rooms that have always been extremely hot and hard to cool. This has totally taken care of the problem. Owner, Al, has been very responsive and came out twice when requested. There were no problems with the unit; first time was odor coming from the new attic insulation and the second time was a normal delay in outside fan coming on when compressor kicked in. Al came both times and checked out the system and explained what was happening. We are extremely happy with the installation and service provided by "Shades".

Estimate and service was informative and helpful. Staff was professional and prompt. Price was average for the system chosen. I very much appreciated the minimal time that I had no air conditioning and how efficiently the staff worked to make this so.

I don't know yet since they aren't finished, but I'll post a followup when the work is done. All I cared about was that the unit start functioning now so that she wouldn't have to live with that heat.

Came promptly day after I called. Serviced the air conditioner and checked everything. I would definitely use Shades in the future.

I called in the AM and was able to set an appointment for later that same day. Tech arrived on time and was courteous and efficient. Diaganosed and fixed my problem quickly. I asked about my second unit buthe was booked solid and did not have time that day to do a PM on it, but he instead told me it looked fine and even checked the freon and pressures. He also told me what to do so that I could avoid a charge for a PM service. I told him that I appreciated his honesty and would recommend him to anyone that I could. I was satisfied with my service call!

I had my evaporator coil replaced this morning, and even though they did not have to reclaim any refrigerant or recharge the system after the work, I was still charged for the line item of "reclaim and vacuum refrigerant". Since no significant amount of refrigerant was reclaimed above what the minimum amount that could be possibly expected (maybe an ounce), it seemed unreasonable to me to pay an extra charge above the labor work. He talked me through the process and the overall cost of the work and gave me some good background information for my discussions with the company that did the work. I truly appreciate his willingness to help me out and will definitely recommend Shades to my neighbors.

He came in, saw the problem, fixed it up, added some pellets and was done in 30 minutes.

Art missed our first appointment but was right on time for the second appointment. He wrote on the receipt all items that were checked and what items that need to be watched. He was on time, professional, and answered all my questions. I plan on having him back next year.

Art was promp and efficient and reasonable in price. He was very soft spoken and knowledgeable and did not have any difficulty figuring out how to achieve our goal. He used two small ducts because our rafter space on the flat portion of our roof is tight. I will use him again if and when (when) I need a good air conditioning guy. ART IS AWSOME!

Came to our home, found the problem and fixed it. Explained what we needed to do to keep our air running efficiently. Told us about how long we could expect our unit to last. We were extremely pleased with the professional and informative manner in which our problem was handled. We feel Shade's is very honest. We will use Shade's for all our future air and heating needs.
