Florida Water Treatment has been providing quality water treatment solutions to the Tampa Bay Area since 1951. Florida Water Treatment has been a family owned and operated company since our humble beginning. Our longevity is a direct result of how we do business. First with decades of experience in dealing with Florida Water, our highly trained staff of professionals will assess each customer's water quality concern on a case by case basis. We then custom fit the best possible solution to meet your needs. All of our water treatment equipment is custom built to order, nothing is pre made giving our customer's the highest grade equipment possible at wholesale prices. Since we do custom build all of our equiment FWT is able to keep up with the latest advances and technology in the water treatment industry and implement these technologies into our product line very quickly to ensure our customers are always getting the most efficent and advanced equipment available. At FWT we do not believe in the one size fits all approach that the box stores and all of our competiton uses to treat water. The water in the Tampa Bay area is unique and needs to be treated on a case by case basis in order for the equipment to perform at a high level for many years which is why we custom build all of our equipmet to meet the needs of the customers home and water needs. At FWT we have a water treatment solution for every budget and provide superior warranties on everything we install. We provide In house 0% no interest financing eliminating credit checks, pushy finance companies, and high interest rates giving FWT the ability to finance just about anyone who needs it. We also take personal checks and all major credit cards as methods of payment. Second, our commitment to service following any sale is second to none. Responsive service, whether providing salt delivery, filter exchanges or even repairing other brand water treatment products is how we've done business from the onset. At FWT our customers always come first and we believe in going above and beyond everyday and on every call to make sure that every single customer is 110% satisfied with our service. At FWT we do not employ any contractors or sales personel like the majority of our competition, everyone of our 22 employees from our two install crews to our five factory trained service technicians are FWT employees guaranteeing that you will receive highest possible level of service and receive the proper water treatment system for your home. All sales calls are run by the owner eliminating the long sales presentations, pushy sales tactics, and ridiculously high prices. Description of Work: Came out to start up our water softener that had been idle for 2+ years. Unfortunately they were able to confirm it wouldn't restart and the price of the unit they proposed to replace it was well beyond what we would be willing to spend. We will likely go to Sears for the replacement water softener.

Description of Work: I felt the cleaning was an excuse to sale other service and products. The technician claimed my unit no longer had filters and I needed a new unit. He could "build" me one but it would cost more than a new unit. I politely declined and sent him on his way. My unit is only 8 years old.

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review on our company. You left us a "D" rating and I am a bit confused as to why. I went out to your home and assessed your current water treatment system and found that the system was in bad shape. You were not even home for the service call - actually nobody was home and I dealt with you on the phone so you have no idea what I did while I was at your home. To review what I explained to you on the phone the day of the service - I was at your home for close to an hour and completely pulled your system apart. Your system was dated 2002 (14 years old) and it didn't look like the system had been running properly for quite some time and showed signs of serious neglect. When I pulled your valve off you had little to no filter media left in the tank, the valves main piston and seal kit were completely worn out, the brine assembly was cracked and completely solidified, and the main drive motors gears were stripped out and the motor was not operating. Your system is in very bad shape and I made the suggestion of completely removing the system, rebuilding the system, or replacing the system - you told me that you were not sure that you even wanted soft water and you would call to let us know if you wanted to anything. I put your system back together the way I found it and went on with my day. You purchased a $39 Big Deal through Angie's List which included a Tune Up on your system and two bags of salt. You obviously were expecting us to come out and magically fix your system and get it running for the $39 Deal you purchased. Unfortunately we can't work miracles and can only do so much when we come out and see a system that is in dis-repair such as yours. I took the time to diagnose what was wrong with your system and went above and beyond what we are required to do according to the guidelines of the deal you purchased. It is obvious you did not like what I had to say about your system, but we have not been in business for the past 65 years by lying to our customers. I gave you an upfront an honest diagnosis of your current system - does that makes us a bad company because you didn't like what we had to say. So if I would lied to you and told you everything was perfect and there were no problems and the system and after a few days it still didn't work you still would of left us a negative review. We welcome all reviews positive and negative because it helps us in running a successful service business, but when we receive an unjustified negative review it just hurts because we bend over backwards to make sure each and every customer receives a positive experience with Florida Water Treatment. Like I said earlier you were not even home for the service so the only interaction you had with me was via the phone and our conversation went just fine and I explained everything to you and answered all of your questions - so how does this warrant a "D" rating? We have been down this road before and you feel you spent $39 for us to try and sell you something - that is not the situation at all and we did everything we could with what we had to work with. I do apologize if you feel differently, but please keep in mind a "D" rating is pretty bad and I would understand if we didn't show up, or if we were rude to you, or if we were late and stood you up - but none of that happened and we did everything we were suppose to do. These ratings do effect our future business and the rating you left was unwarranted and unjustified and just not right. Next time you make an appointment and you know you are going to rate the company coming out do that company a favor and show up to the service appointment so at least you have some substance for your review.
