The repair man showed up to the door and I opened the garage door for him. He took the top off the water softener and he showed me where the resin had leaked into the system and thru all the pipes in the house. We were told that it was not repairable and that we needed a new system for over 1,000 dollars, and plumber charges to unclog the lines in the house. We did not have them do any work and called someone who changed the resin, fixed the softener and unclogged the pipes for 300.00. The first part of the situation I had no control over. They did tell me that the whole system needed replaced, and it was due to cheap resin in the softener. The rest I was embarrassed over yes, but It was repairable and I did not appreciate the whole situation that I was in the middle of. After your technician showed me mug shots of someone from another company I cancelled everyone else that was scheduled to come to my home that day, so there is no way that i had your company or him confused with anyone else. It was not until I actually joined Angies list the same day that I found Mr. Water who was very professional and fixed everything for me. That is also when I saw your companies name on the list. Your Professional repairman did tell me that the whole unit needed replaced and that the resin in the unit was cheap, he tried to say that was what caused the problem. I was trying to stick with the part of the story that pertained to your company and not all the sorted details that I had no control over. He was not very professional in slandering other companies and showing me mug shots of people who work at other water softener companies. So you are not an innocent business owner trying to do the right thing, slander is not professional. And trying to get a whole new softener repair that would have been about 1,000 dollars or more, without even trying to fix the present one is not professional. I would not say your company is innocent at all. I was the one stuck in the middle of competition wars from companies I did not choose or call. Another family member did. I found a professional that was honest, and fixed the situation thanks to Angie's list. This is not worth my time arguing with this company. What I said was honest and correct. He was not honest, and told me I needed a new unit without even trying to diagnose anything else. Of course they are going to defend their own company, but I would not use them.

They were arrived about 5 minutes early.They removed the old equipment and carted it away. They cleaned up after themselves and expllained the salt which should be used, not the salt I had been using. Told me that I should return the salt that I have and get the correct salt which will be cheaper. they were very professional.

They are in the business from a long time, probably from fifties. The service and installation is excellent. I would use them in the future. They did a really good standard job. They are very prompt, and courteous. Overall it is a good experience for me. I thought it was going to be more expensive than it was. They did everything right. I had no problems what so ever. I would use them in the future.

We moved to Tampa in August of 2009 and have been dealing with terrible hard water ever since, I'm so happy I finally joined Angie's List and found Florida Water Treatment! I called and set up an appointment, Matt Zarra came over and listened to our concerns with our city water and our water usage. He is such a friendly and laid back guy, no pushy sales pitches and no nonsense. We saved some money because our house was already plumbed for a water softener in our garage. We had no idea that's what the plumbing was for, his honesty is refreshing. Matt said we would get 4 extra bags of salt if we let them put a sign in our yard when the unit was installed, it was noted on the install print out but the salt wasn't left nor was the sign. No big deal to me and my wife didn't mention it to the installers. The two installers arrived an hour early which was a little problematic because my wife works from home and we were adamant on the install time. So they had to leave and come back at the correct time. Installation only took about a half hour. The installers were very professional and pleasant. So far the system is working wonderfully, the unit tells you how much water you have used, time, day of the week and possibly more but I haven't messed around with it. We received a Five Year Guarantee certificate that covers: treatment tank, brine tank, control valve and all electric parts. We were also given an Operation Manual. I wish I would have called them sooner, I cannot believe the difference in my water! My dishwasher is using less Jet Dry and my clothes even look brighter out of the wash. I'm not noticing any "slimey" feeling from the water that most people talk about from softened water, it just feels cleaner and crisper. I definitely recommend Florida Water Treatment!!

I called Florida Water Treatment and made an appointment for the owner, Matt Zarra, to come to our house to give us an estimate on a water softener and installation. Matt came by within a couple of days, arrived on time, and provided us with an estimate. He is very knowledgeable, friendly, polite, and honest. Our situation required some extra work because the main shut-off valve had been moved by the previous owner, and he explained how they would handle it. One week later, Matt and his team arrived on time and worked diligently through a thunderstorm to finish installing our new water softener. Matt stayed to make sure they understood what had to be done because of the extra work (drilling a hole through our pool cage and installing a new shut-off valve). The team was very polite and hardworking. I had a great experience and would highly recommend Florida Water Treatment to anyone.

I couldn't get any water because my pump wasn't working. They got it working and then came back the next day to install the new system. They were very polite and nice. The system is complicated, so I had a lot of questions. They always sent someone right out to assist me and never charged me for the follow-up visits.

What a great company to do business with. Everyone I dealt with was knowledgeable and courteous The service was prompt, the price was fair. Very happy.

We recently moved to the St Pete area and immediately noticed a difference in the water quality compared to our previous residence. In doing some independent research I found that the water, particularly at our end of Pinellas County, is extremely hard and has higher than normal chlorine content. I was very skeptical of the hype put out by various national and local treatment firms so, armed with my data, I decided to "act naive" while interviewing potential suppliers to see (1) did they understand the specifics of this area and (2) did they present a credible solution. I was still surprised at the wide discrepancies between vendors understanding, proposed solutions and costs. The only firm that met my "understanding/credible solution" criteria was Florida Water Treatment (FWT). President Matt Zaara established immediate credibility by basically mimicking the data I had found without having to test my water due to the fact that they had several installations in the area. (He would have tested the water had I pressed.). He also provided references within our neighborhood who attested to the quality of FWT equipment and results. Their "factory direct" business model results in prices that are lower than the competition while offering much higher quality equipment - basically commercial equipment at consumer prices. They also custom build the equipment for each installation. FWT technicians Radin and Jason arrived on time, reviewed the installation plans and got to work. Their work was neat and professional. They walked me through the equipment; answering all questions and provided details on general maintenance and FWT service plans. I had a couple friends drop by during installation and Radin answered their questions as well. End result was immediately noticeable difference in water quality. A very good experience all around.

Perfectly. Matt was honest with this review, extremely knowledgeable of the water treatment industry and clear (no haggling) on price. I had done quite a bit of research before meeting with Matt and come to the conclusion that I needed an expert and didn't want to buy a stock Home Depot or Lowes unit. Additionally, my research showed that some of the newer technologies weren't all that effective or not at all proven at this point. Without alluding too early how much research I had done, Matt confirmed much of what I had found and was straightforward in his presentation. You'll pay a bit more for the FWT systems but, if you've done the research, you'll find that you're getting your money's worth versus stock items you'd find in big box stores. Lastly, installation was timely and exactly as described and my request to have a service tech come out on a Saturday to walk me through the system was originally scheduled and delivered upon as exactly described. Great overall experience.

GREAT SERVICE, GOOD PRODUCTS, PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT

I had seen their advertisement in my Angie's List magazine. I called and Matt was in the area, so he came over that day. We discussed the problem and, since they were available for installation almost immediately, I opted to go for it! I did not get any other estimates, which I usually do, but I liked Matt and felt that he knew what he was talking about - his is a 3rd generation company. I was very pleased with the installers; they did a clean, professional installation and answered all my questions.

It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I called the office and spoke with the owner, Matt, who made an appointment to look at my house the very next day. He arrived on time and explained all my options to me. He was very friendly and no pressuring on which system to take. I called to set up an appointment and it was scheduled for one week later. The crew showed up on time and quickly got to work. They warned me before they turned the water off. They placed the wires and tanks exactly where I needed them to be. They had the whole system up and running in 1.5 hours. They completely explained how it works and what we need to do to maintain it. They did a fantastic job and I love the new water treatment system. Even my husband loves it and he had laughed at me when I said I was getting it. I wish I had got one years ago and not lived with the hard water ruining everything. Thanks Matt and the FL Water Treatment Team!

All work was satisfactorally completed within three days of my original call.

This has been a horrible experience. We had the water purification system installed as we have very hard water. We wanted to be certain the water in our home was up to par. We've had multiple problems with the system, and I am almost ready to just have it removed and throw it away due to the headaches they have caused us. I would not recommend Florida Water Treatment.

We had paid for a company to install system to soften water and remove sulphur odors etc. when house was built 4 years ago but water never tasted or smelt good. We had that company out many times and they said they couldn't improve the water. When we started getting iron deposits etc. I checked Angie's list and found Florida Water Treatment. Phoned office and we got an appointment quickly. Person came out and tested water and said there was a lot they could do to improve it. We had whole system redone and removed from garage to outside so that they can maintain it without our being home. Sales person was efficient and knowledgeable and installers were quick and clean. All in all we are very pleased with service and would recommend the company. Our water is clear, smells normal and tastes great!

Everything went well. The customer service is excellent and Ron, the technician who came out, was great. They even give you 6 months service warranty.

Arrived and worked as scheduled. Very satisfied with the new system and the workers took the old system and cleaned up after their work. Would use them again is needed.

From the inital sales call by Matt, to the installation crew, and the need for some follow-up service, my experience with this company was outstanding. Work performed on time and to the penny of the estimate. Had a need for a follow-up call, they did not hesitate to make sure that I was satisified in every respect

The work went very well. They came in one day to look at my old system and recommended a new one, that they gave me a discount on. They scheduled the installation for about a week after the initial visit. They came on time. They took out the old one and put the new one in. There was a little problem with one of the pipes after they installed it, but they came back right away and fixed it, apparently one of the pipes was leaking. They had no problem coming back, fixing it and making sure it was good.

Everything went just fine -- they were quick to give me an appointment, had the product I need at the right price. I have used them before to service my old system The only think they didn't mention was that the new tank would be a different shape and configuration from my old tank and would sit in a different place under the sink. It didn't turn out to be a problem, but it could be, potentially, depending on what you are used to storing under your sink. The technician was courteous and prompt and the installation did not take long.

They installed the new water softener. They were punctual and informative. They were very friendly. They cleaned up after themselves.

They did a very good job I am very pleased. They did arrive on time and the price that they gave me was very reasonable. I would recommend them to others and use them again.

Very responsive, they really know their stuff. The owner came out and did the install. Excellent service. The owner even gave us his cell number if we have any questions or problems. Their quote was about $1500 less than others. We were very satisfied with their service.

So far we have been very satisfied, I mean, we did a lot of research especially about the product, and this was the one that my husband liked best. They were on time and they did what they said they were going to do.

Efficient and satisfactory from start to finish. These people answer their phones, make appointments, give you a two hour window the day of the appointment, show up within the window, and know their work. The service person did his work efficiently and was knowledgeable, polite, and a pleasure to deal with. The prices were the same as what they quoted over the phone. I highly recommend them. A pleasure to do business with. You have to wait for an appointment until they are in your area, but given the reasonable fee they charge, this makes sense. If not for my schedule, I would have had an appointment within a week.
