I would recommend Florida Water Treatment to family, neighbors and friends. I was replacing a system, my experience with this company from estimate to installation was trouble free. All persons I dealt with from start to finish we're polite and professional.

The day of replacement the guys showed up on time and went right to work, my husband stood and watched them the entire time. The guys worked very efficiently and had the new unit it quickly and without any trouble. We have been enjoying softer water and seeing an improvement in our skin. Thank you Matt and your employees.

Wonderful experience. Asked for quote, owner showed up right on time. Explained in great detail what his product was and how it is superior to others in the market. Agreed to price, and set install day/time. Installers showed up on time and were very quick and polite. Minor damage done to stucco on outside of house during install - I advised the owner and he quickly arranged for it to be repaired and repainted. Never a bad moment in dealing with this company. HIGHLY recommend.

They did a great job. I called them and the owner of the company came out and did a review of our current system as it was 18 years old. They gave me a quote on a new system, which turned out to be lowest quote I received. They were very professional and came when they said they would. Everything went great and they did a courtesy call to make to sure everything was okay. The price was what they quoted.

This is an excellent company. The salesman came to my home and explained exactly what they would be doing and how the water quality would be improved. They arrived on time for the installation and were very professional. The unit they installed works wonderfully and I have had no problems with it at all. Overall I was very pleased with the experience.

Florida Water Treatment was great! From Ron, to the installers, to the nice lady that works in the office (sorry I can't remember her name) I would highly recommend FWT as your go to company for water softener needs. They provided three months followup service after the install, and the lady in the front office was great to talk to and very friendly. I had to call her several times to ask questions (old age setting in) and she responded each time as if it was the first time I called, very courteous and very willing to help. Go with FWT, you won't regret it!

We had an older softener that needed to be replaced. We found Florida Water Treatment ("FWT") on Angie's List and selected them based on their tenure and specialization in water treatment. We met with Matt Zarra, the owner of the business. He was professional, responsive and willing to answer all of the questions we had about the various models from which we could choose. Moving forward with the group was an easy decision after going through the consultation process. In terms of price, we didn't shop around too much as we were focused more on expertise and quality than cost. I know you can spend a lot less money at Home Depot and Lowes for a plug and play device. I believe the quality that FWT has to offer is superior but I'll also say that my opinion is solely based on FWT's education. I'm certainly not an expert in the area. Overall - FWT receives a solid A.

Great service, follow-up and product

It was good. I liked them because the installation went well. They came on time, delivered the product as promised. I have been using it for a year, and like the quality of the water. I use less soap and my clothes last better. Their price was very competitive--almost half the price of the brand name product.

FWT is an OEM and I couldn't be happier with the installation and the system itself. Two gentlemen came to install the unit and were professional, clean and polite. This unit doesn't backwash until 950 gallons are consumed, unlike any other system we've owned which was set to be run daily and had to be adjusted when we had our large family come for a prolonged visit. Not a concern with this unit as it monitors the flow and runs and will adjust to your conditions. One result is that it uses much less salt than the traditional unit and since the parts aren't working as hard, the wear on the equipment is much less.

Matthew Zarra and Co. are good people! Dependable and affordable. We had high concentration of iron (which the last company claimed they fixed) and an awful smell. The previous company blamed it on our pipes and said we would just have to live with the smell. FWT installed a chlorination system and new softener bed which instantly made our water quality so much better. The plumbers who installed it were right on time (arrived at 12:02 with a 12-2 time frame) so we weren't stuck around waiting. Matt himself actually arrived a little earlier than scheduled for his initial water analysis. They are real good about answering all your questions and warranty all equipment! Wish I could of found this company before the other one but that was prior to getting Angie's list. We are very satisfied with our water now!

They were great! They arrived on time, explained where they wanted to put the equipment (we agreed), how long we would be wiithout water and went to work. The whole installation was completed within approximately 90 minutes. I would definitely recommend them. Plus, Angies List members get 1 year free salt delivered. What a deal!

He also checked the matter that had to do with the irrigation control box that was repaired by another company late in the afternoon on 7/11/12 after the prior attempts at fixing this problem were unsuccessful using other sprinkler repair companies. At this point I'd rate FWT with an "A". Matt went above & beyond to help me with the problem of rust accumulating on my property.

The experience was good in all aspects. The phone calls to arrange the initial look at the problem, the guy coming out to inspect it and tell me what they needed to do, as well as the installers, were all friendly and competent. Left no mess, etc. Everything works like a charm. I would definitely recommend them.

We have a well and the treatment system we purchased 5 years ago gave out. Of course that company wouldn't honor the warranty, saying it was normal wear and tear. Chris from FWT came out at the scheduled time, stood out in the rain and checked out the system. He showed us the resin was shot, the gears were deteriorating, and the different components of the system were not set up properly. He gave us an estimate for repairing the existing system and for a new system. We've been unhappy with the system we had, so we asked more about the new system. He explained the new system fully and scheduled it for the next week. There was no pressure for either solution. The installers arrived on time, and again, did all the installation in the rain. They took time to explain how the system works, gave us an instruction booklet (we never got one from the other place), and were overall great guys.We will definitely use FWT for any other service needed.

No, I'm not spending $1800 on a new system...let me see, the only thing my system needs is resin replacement and a new control head (mine was outdated). A little digging on-line revealed that I can get EVERYTHING to fix my system for a whopping $300.00....with free shipping BTW... The technician didn't even offer any alternatives to fix it in the mean time. Either sign a contract on the spot or be without a softener. People, you are getting ripped off!! The same systems this company sells, cost you between $500-700 online with free shipping. That includes the brine tank AND resin tanks. Mine are in top shape and he still wanted me to spend the $1800 !!! are you kidding me! Oh...and on top of that I wasted $100.00 on a service call....Yes, they charge you a $100.00 to let you know something is wrong with the system...I already knew that..I should not have to pay for stating the obvious!

Matt and the installers were very helpful and courteous. The water softener was a little expensive, but I was more than willing to pay for this quality product. I recommended and also set up a water softener installation for my parents home as well.

He was very detailed in his work. He showed and explained to me exactly what was wrong with the old system. He didn't try to sell me the most expensive system and really helped me determine which one would fit my needs. The installation went well. I have been very satisfied with the new system.

Customer service was excellent from the start. I contacted Florida Water Treatment (FWT) after business hours via email and received a response back that night. First thing the following morning, they called me to make an appointment. I met with Matt a few days later. I knew within a few minutes that I found the right company. I had done my research and had already met with several companies. I was disillusioned with the other companies. Some were ignorant about Tampa Bay drinking water, some did not have good plumbing knowledge, and one gave me a bloated quote of $5800 for the same service ? almost triple! Matt was honest, thorough, and exceptionally knowledgeable. I know a lot about water but needed an expert to help me with my decision. I was considering a much more expensive system but he steered me away from it. Through the entire process, customer service was impeccable; they were prompt, personable, and knowledgeable. Every employee I interacted with was topnotch. It has been two months since installation and everything is great! No leaks, easy to use, water taste awesome, water softness is perfect. I am so thankful to Matt, he saved me money, lots of money compared to another company. I am so pleased with our system and highly recommend FWT ? they have excellent customer service and unmatched quality workmanship. I have to comment on the previous reviewer?s comments, something I do not typically do. I am almost certain the previous reviewer has mistaken FWT for another company, in which I had a similar encounter. The company is based in Tampa. I cannot recall their name, because I knew while talking to them there was no way I would hire them ? and just forgot about them. This other company showed me the mug shots of the competitors. The technician kept going on about the mug shots and I?m like let?s talk about water. This other company similarly told me to replace the water softener, it could not be fixed. I do NOT write reviews for companies that do NOT acutally do the work, there are way too many bad ones out there to spend the time to write a review. I would have written numerous negative reviews during this process of finding a company to meet our water needs. Thankfully, I found FTC which was the exact opposite of this other company.
