I placed the order for the big deal and was contacted by a woman from Florida Water Treatment. I was offered several choices of dates and chose Friday October 4th. I specifically stated that I was available mornings and was scheduled between 8-10 AM. I was contacted by the service person at 8:34 and told he would be arriving between 11 and 1PM. I was informed that I was not his first stop and that he had another stop in Tampa. I do not believe that a service that do something as basic as keeping on schedule deserves my business. UPDATE: On October 7th at about 8:15 AM I was called by Florida Water Treatment. The person (male) stated they have been trying to call me Friday and all weekend. The number they have is for my cell phone which is with me 24/7 and they only called Friday one hour after they told me they were coming between 11-1. My phone had no other calls listed from their number. The caller also mentioned that he read my Angies List review and did not appear happy with it. So basically the take away from this experience is that the business is untruthful in calling me and more concerned with their Angies List rating that arriving on time and doing the job contracted for. Not someone I feel I can trust.

Found softener to be very old with bad seals. Cost to repair was beyond value of unit. I was disappointed but none the less I felt like they are a reputable company and I would recommend them.

The issue that I have with the Big Deals (this is now the 3rd experience we have had with Big Deals) where this seems to be an opportunity for the service provider to engage in upselling. We had a water softener system installed by a highly rated Angie's List provider about 2 years ago so I was really unpleasantly surprised when the FL Water Treatment technician made derogatory remarks about the softener (we have maintained it well and there are no problems with it) In fact, the technician wrote that we should consider upgrading the system (of course, using FL Water Treatment's system). We are one of the homes that is about to get hit with a massive flood insurance increase and this feels like an unnecesary upgrade especially we are not having problems with a 2-year old system. On the plus side, I appreciated that the technician took the time to explain to me the safety features in case we experienced an emergency situation. However, we will no longer be purchasing Big Deals - they create more stress than they are worth. As a customer, my suggestion to this company is that since they do good work, do not combine sales with routine maintenance. It's a conflict of interest.

Dealing with FWT Inc was a great experience. They are professional, honest and punctual. I purchased the deal online and within minutes had received a call from them to set everything up. They kept me informed of every step of the process and were there exactly when they said they would be. I would recommend anyone looking for any water treatment to hire this team. They customer service is second to none and outstanding.

Their office called me earlier this week to set up an appointment. The woman was very pleasant in making the appointment with me and, on Friday morning, I received another call from the technician as expected. He gave me a 2 hour widow for his arrival onsite. Right on time, Ron Wicks showed up and started his work. We chatted while he was working and he helped me better understand my water softener (types of salt, salt levels, shut-off valve, etc). This technician was very professional and easy to talk to. The next time I need any water treatment or services, I will call Florida Water Treatment (and I'll ask for Ron).

It went fine. He explained what he was doing and answered questions we had concerning the unit. He also brought 2 bags of salt which was included in the cost.

Guidance was to not fix exiting softener but replace if desire to use

The representative that came out was very informative. Our existing softener was well beyond its useful life so we need a new one which we will be getting from this company. He actually even capped off a line that was leaking which was not part of the deal we had purchased. Very impressed with this company

It was very beneficial. Our current system was way over due for maintenance and not in good working condition. They made the annual maintenance affordable plus there wasn't any pressure what so ever to repair, buy or replace anything, on old system or for a new system. They were honest and very informative. They have been in business 62 years and we understand why. Even the owner took the time to come out when I had more questions. He did a follow up call to insure my husband understood all that the technician had explained to me during the day. We were truly blessed by this company and want others to know they are excellent.

Owner of Florida Water Treatment came to our home and gave us an estimate for a whole house water softener. He was very thorough and very knowledgeable about his product. After getting another estimate, we decided that Florida Water Treatment product was who we wanted to work with. The installer arrived at the house on 9/20. My husband spoke to him before he began work to make sure we were on the same page as what we had agreed to with the owner. The installer was going to use water lines from a unit that was removed before we purchased the home. After a brief discussion, it was determined that he would indeed replace the water lines. Installer did a great job in installing the unit and explained how to use it with my husband. I would definitely recommend this company.

During maintenance inspection of system valves, Florida Water Treatment staff found algea growing in system tanks. Previous water company had installed wrong type tanks for outdoor installation, allowing algea to grow. Florida Water Treatment provided proper tanks for outdoor installation. Provided a timely installation and was punctual. Eliminated need for chlorine pump. Very pleased with installation and service. Staff was very professional, both field and office staff.

they arrived on time and were very professional. They took the time to show me how the system operated after installation. I'd defintiely refer them again. they told me that they will contact us annually (instead of us remembering), to provide annual check up service. With our busy lives, this is reassuring.

We decided it was not worth repairing and old, obsolete, inferior unit. We also decided not to replace the non-working unit.

It went fine. They did what they were supposed to. They ended up replacing the system so it cost much more. I never got the two free bags of salt that was included in the deal so I was a little disappointed with that but I did not feel that that was worth hurting them over because otherwise, they did a good job. I never did get the two bags of salt but I think that it was more because I replaced the system and the new system came with salt. They told me that that is how it comes. I guess, I just sort of assumed that they would fill the tank of the new system with salt and then leave me two extra ones and they never did. I really cannot complain because I never called them and asked for that because I did not feel that it was worth calling for. It was a little bit disappointing but other than that, they did fine. I do not want the two bags of salt two be a negative point on them. They did what they said they were going to do. So far, the system seems to be working fine. I think that their price was fair in comparison to what other units are worth and it also has a five-year warranty which is nice. The funny thing is you sort of have a higher level of expectation of Angie's List people so you sort of stop appreciating what really good services you could usually get from Angie's List people. It is when you use a non-Angie's List person that you say, "Wow! I forgot how bad service people usually are." So, they were fine and they were on time. I have absolutely no complaints at all.

We were very pleased with his knowledge and helped us understand the water softener system. We had just purchased this home and had no prior experience. When all was said and done we were left with the feeling that this deal was an opportunity to upsell their products.

The technician was punctual and professional. He did an analysis of my water and found it was drinkable and not saturated with chlorine. He then provided maintenance on my water softener, adjusted the timer so regeneration cycle takes place at the right time without wasting gallons of water. Then technician then added two 60 lb bags of salt to complete the job...all efficiently and professionally done to my satisfaction.

Chris arrived right on time, knew what he was doing; didn't just tell me, but showed me a problem with the water softener, gave me two bags of salt and left - all in about 1/2 hr.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They did a great job based on what they were supposed to do. It worked out well. They came out within a day or two.

The initial visit of two was for assessment purposes. The representative was on time and professional and had to deliver bad news in that our softener filter had rotted and the system was on the verge of collapse. We are new to this home but knew the softener was old. The rep gave us the information and knowledge needed to make a decision. The second visit was to install the softener and kitchen sink filter. The installer was on time and had called prior to arrival. His work was efficient and he, too, answered all questions and helped us understand our new system. We were set up to have an annual call to check the system. I received a thank you letter from management post installation - an unexpected gesture I appreciated. I would recommend this vendor without hesitation.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They were great. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. We were happy with their work. They came out within a week of purchasing the deal.
