We used the Angie's List coupon for a new water softener. We spent a little more to upgrade the system to filter as well. We stopped into their showroom, quickly set up a date for the estimate. The estimate had no surprises and was very quick and efficient. The system was installed the next week, again with no surprises and very efficiently.

The technician showed up on time to do a service on our 7 year old Water Boss water softener (it was leaking) and found that it needed replacement (we had some problems with the unit before this). They scheduled an appointment for the next week, showed up on time, and replaced the softener with a much better unit. They also replaced the inside water shut-off along with some of the plumbing.

The intallation crew came up a little late, but they worked quick and did a great job. Everything was set up more efficiently and cleaner than the older softener. The system works beyond my expectations. I would had never thought of been able to "feel the water softer", but it is true! The dishes won't end up stained anymore and the garage feels larger. They were able to offer us a payment deal, same as cash, which comes very handy for those budget concerned individuals. Overall, we are very pleased and satisfied with the product and the service we received.

I found them on Angie's List. The place was very clean when they were done. They actually repainted the chip marks because they had to drill in through the concrete. They did a very good job.

I had an old antiquated water softener system that luckily I figured out how to put it in by-pass mode. I bought my house and couple of years ago and could not find any information regarding the water softener system. The system was poorly designed. A filter had been added to help with the efficiency of the system. That may sound good, but the only problem was I couldn't get the filter cover off without digging a 2-foot hole in the the ground. I obtained 3 quotes - one national provider and 2 local providers. With the first quote (the national provider), I obtained a water sample test that was shared with all providers. Through my research for a new water softener system, I picked up on two key pieces of information that was consistent - always get a water sample test and local providers tended to provide better service and rates. After I got in all 3 quotes, the national provider priced it's way off the list with it's "a la cart" pricing - a charge for each piece of the old unit to be removed, extra for weather covers, etc. Beware of this type of pricing - they couldn't even confirm that the price quoted would be the final price (the fine print said that there was potential for extra charges if they had re-do the drainage line). To be honest with you, the two local providers were neck and neck. One was slightly higher priced than the other, but they were both all-inclusive quotes - removed the old system, installed the new and would make needed changes to current drainage system. Both providers took the time to fully explain what would be done when they provided the quotes, which made it a difficult choice. I chose Florida Water Treatment because they have been around longer than the other company. I am very pleased with my choice. They were on time for appointments (both quote and installation). After the installation, I received a walk through of all the components and how they work - complete with a quick reference diagram and full user manual. The system is guaranteed for 5 years. And yes it's true - you definitely can tell the difference in the quality of your well water right away.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it went fine. I used the service within a couple of weeks after purchasing the Big Deal.

They did a good job! There were no problems. There were no additional charges beyond the big deal amount. They were courteous and on time.

I couldn't have asked for a better job done. The president of the company came out because his guys were busy. They were very professional. They were also very easy to work with. He explained everything very clearly and I would recommend them to anyone. You won't find anyone that does a better job and I can guarantee you of that.

On 9/20/2013 the new unit was installed. The pipework was re-plumbed along with the installation of another master shutoff valve (plastic) to the house which was a good thing to serve as a backup to the main copper shutoff. The work was performed in a timely manner and I watched over the technician along the way. I suspect 10 years is good to get out of a water softener with the resin core changed only one time four years ago. So far, my experience with the Angie's List 'deals' always seem to escalate to significantly higher cost projects. It makes me question the objectivity of Angie's List and whether or not they should be in the business of endorsing products unlike Consumer Reports.

It went extremely well. They made time to fit my schedule; called me at work so that I could meet them at the house. The installation was completed in a very reasonable amount of time. The water system is working well. I trust this company, and Matt, completely. Highly Recommended.

Was hoping that I wouldn't have to replace entire system because its a large expense; however, in comparison with other companies, price was relatively reasonable. Everyone I came in contact with (by phone or in person) was very professional helpful and pleasant. They appear to be very knowledgeable for water softner systems. Overall, I am pleased.

For 17 years I have had a constant battle with my water and the 4 subsequent water treatment systems, none of which resolved my rust stained sinks, toilets, showers, etc. And I have never been able to drink the water from my faucets. I was fortunate that Matt, the owner, responded to the initial appointment because he is very knowledgeable, professional, and thorough in explaining what I have, what was wrong with it, and what he could do to make my water better in terms that I could comprehend. After presenting his proposal, which included a payment plan that I could work with, he scheduled his team to came out. They were equally as professional and nice and worked very hard and dirty to get my new system in without disrupting the tight work area. What I also appreciated was WRITTEN followup listing my tasks and responsibilities in order to maintain the system. With previous companies I asked for instructions so I could make notes, I never got enough guidance to really understand what I was to do. I know nothing about water treatment systems, why should I, but now feel comfortable in leaving it to the Pros at Florida Water Treatment, Inc. Thank you FWT!

I have a water softener and the company that service the equipment charges very high for very little work. There is not many companies that services water softener equipment. I though it is great that Angie's List can resolve the problem of charging high in the absence of alternatives, I guess I though wrong.

Everything went well. Service was very thorough. They showed me how to set the clock and went over a few other settings on the water softener. Everything was explained to me patiently. They didn't try to push me into extra services or upsell me, just explained what I needed and what might be needed soon....

My calendar had 9:30 as the appointment time but after calling at 10:45 to inquire the sales lady indicated we discussed they would be leaving from Pinellas county at 9 (impossible to make a 9:30 appointment). I could have been mistaken on the appointment time. In any event, when the rep arrived he was very patient with me; I like to understand how things worked and asked lots of questions. He tested our water before doing anything else remarking the water had a little hardness. He found a motor of some sort that was not working properly. After understanding the issue and having him show me how the new one would fix the problem, he installed the motor (after giving me an Angie's list discount), reset the timer and showed me how to check the timer myself. He was very knowledgeable and passed on some good info about which salt to buy in the future. All in all a great experience!!!

Arrived on time, polite, professional. Removed all old equipment as well as an old pool filter. Installed new complete water treatment system, went through the parts and steps to maintain system, continually stressed that any time 24/7 someone is at the phone to help and answer any questions or deal with any problems. Would highly recommend this company from estimate visit through follow-up.

It was a fair price compared to what I have seen around. It seems to be working just fine. I wasn't happy about needing a new water softener but I wasn't surprised because the old one was like 15 years old. They're a big, local company in our area.
