Description of Work: Helped with the selection of the different tile needed. Remodeling my bathroom.

Description of Work: They pulled up all laminate in living/dining area and relaid the laminate (correctly) in two bedrooms. This was at the suggestion of our sales rep who did all the measuring! What a great way to recycle all that laminate and get rid of carpeting-which was a bonus we never would have thought of! All they charged us for that was labor and it is beautiful! |Removed carpet in family room and two bedrooms. |Removed tile in eating area of the kitchen. |Laid new vinyl in living room, dining room, kitchen eating area and family room as well as hallway leading to two bedrooms. |The only price difference was the cost of several bags of floor leveling cement, which we felt was high, but it was labor intensive. |The work has changed the entire looks of our home! It is beautiful! The workmen were professional and friendly. |We would use Floor Depot again and recommend them highly.

Description of Work: Installed tile floor on clean open cement slab, an re-tile a small standup shower

Description of Work: I had the kitchen and small 1/2 bath retiled. Peter and Frank were excellent tile guys. They did an excellent job pulling up the old tile and keeping the dust to a minimum in the rest of house. I was very happy on the way they laid the tile and their work area was neat and clean. The tile was cut outside near the street to keep the dust away. I would definitely use Floor Depot again for my flooring needs.

Description of Work: They leveled our floors, glued down cork, glued down engineered oak flooring and thresholds, replaced and installed all new base boards and toe striping. It took a couple of days longer than the estimator quoted but that was due mainly to our condo's uneven floors which required more float filler and they gave it more time to cure properly before attaching the cork and flooring. Their lead installer David was super at giving us a quality job.

Description of Work: It was an odd and disappointing experience. We had visited 2 other flooring companies, so wanted a third for comparison. Both other companies had helped to give us information that had narrowed our choices. It took us almost an hour to drive to this store, but it had been highly recommended on Angie's List. We were greeted on entering the store and told the man what we were looking for. He picked up a board of Bruce flooring and said it was on sale and then walked away. We continued to look around, but needed information about the samples that we examined. We had to go to him with any inquiries. The standard answer seemed to be that he didn't know, but he looked a few things up. While I understand not hovering, he soon walked into the back room to joke with another employee. We decided that it looked as if they did not need our business. He did say, when asked, that they were highly thought of by former customers. I guess that if you actually decide to use them, they must do a good job. We felt as though we had completely wasted a lot of time. We subsequently chose another company to do the floors.

Description of Work: CONTRACTED TO LAY WOOD FLOOR IN TWO ROOMS AND MATCH EXISTING WOOD IN OTHER AREAS OF HOUSE. HALFWAY THRU JOB, WE NOTICED WOOD HAD FLAWS AND DID NOT MATCH. WE FOUND OUT THRU THE MANUFACTURER THAT FLOORS-R-US SOLD US CABIN GRADE WOOD (SECONDS-SCRAP-CHEAPEST-BOTTOM OF THE BARRELL) INSTEAD OF MATCHING EXISTING, BETTER GRADE WOOD. WE ASKED THEM TO RIP UP WHAT THEY HAD LAYED AND REPLACE WITH BETTER GRADE AS CONTRACTED. THEY REFUSED AND LEFT.

Description of Work: I WAS ORIGINALLY TOLD THE JOB WOULD TAKE ONE TO TWO WEEKS. AFTER THREE WEEKS, THEY QUIT COMING, THE JOB SUPPOSEDLY COMPLETE. THE JOB WAS FAR FROM BEING DONE TO MY SATISFACTION. THEY INSISTED THAT THE OLD FLOOR WAS MORE DIFFICULT TO TEAR UP THAN EXPECTED . HOWEVER, I ALSO KNOW THAT THE CONTRACTORS WORKED VERY SHORT HOURS AT MY JOB BECAUSE THEY SAID THEY HAD TO DO THE 'BOSS'S' HOUSE. I HAD 3 STEPS THAT WERE PART OF THE JOB BUT UNFORTUNATELY WERE DONE QUITE SLOPPY; JAGGED WITH UNFINISHED EDGES . A DOOR WAS LEFT OFF THE HINGES BECAUSE THEY FAILED TO TRIM IT DOWN TO FIT THE NEW FLOOR AND IT TOOK 2 WEEKS TO GET THEM BACK TO REFIT IT. SCRATCHES THAT I REPORTED TO THE OWNER , CONTRACTOR AND SALESMEN IMMEDIATELY AS THE FLOOR WAS BEING LAID WERE ULTIMATELY BLAMED ON ME EVEN THOUGH I WAS NOT LIVING THERE AT THE TIME AND THE HOUSE WAS EMPTY. THREE TIMES THEY DID NOT SHOW UP FOR APPOINTMENTS NOR DID THEY BOTHER TO CALL. SEVERAL TIMES I HAD TO CALL TO SEE IF THEY WERE COMING.
