 + -1 moreThe office was easy to deal with throughout my many changes in design. A few minor miscommunications aside, the process went smoothly. Choosing a more complex pattern added quite a bit to the cost, but we are very happy with the results. Compared to Home Depot, Lowes, and a few other smaller guys, Floors-R-Us was very competitively priced. The two guys that laid the tile, Frank and Tom, were outstanding and completely professional. After tiling around three adjoining rooms, they came up just a bit off at an intersection. Rather than just fudge the last tile a bit, they tore the tiles out to make the adjustment. They have a great eye for detail. I will definitely have Frank and Tom take care of the rest of my tile needs.
Description of Work: They installed 3500 sq ft of extra thick porcelain tile in a complex hopscotch pattern. Also, they did some minor floor related tasks (remove and replace toilets, remove dishwasher, etc)

 + -1 moreThis company was very nice to work with. No problems were encountered except for a lot of dust. We also had a transition piece break quite a bit after, and they came back and re-installed a new one without any extra charge. You really appreciate a good company like this!
Description of Work: We had a den floor replaced with wide plank maple. It turned out great! Floors R Us also removed 24 pieces of tile prior to installation of the wood. We receive so many compliments on that room now.

 + -1 moreThey did something that no one else suggested. They brought all the flooring and left it here and let it sit here for a day, which the other companies did not offer. They were so bright and really nice. They did a good job. All the little things mean a lot. What I like about them is they sent someone that gave me the price, and he also did the work. The other companies sent a man to give the price and another person would come out to install the flooring.

Greg stayed in touch with me about the wood that I ordered. This allowed me to work with my schedule to make changes as needed. Excellent customer service!!
Description of Work: They ripped out old carpet in the hallways, dining room, family room and dining room and installed new wood. After ripping out the carpet, we found that we had a ''rolling slab,'' and it needed to be floated. They did this with an additional cost, but it was very fair. The wood is beautiful!! I made my neighbors jealous.

 + -1 moreFrank was so informative. They needed to do some additional floating to the floor, and they worked with me on the price. Frank and his helper took additional time to do the work, but it was done right. The final product is wonderful.
Description of Work: I used them to re-do the master bathroom and the flooring in most of our house. They had to rip out the old shower and the floors and install new tile. They had a huge selection to chose from, and they were cooperative while I made my selection. There were some problems that were found after they ripped up the shower, but they solved it all. The new shower is beautiful. They also showed me that I could lay my tile on a diagonal that would make the bathroom look even bigger.

Description of Work: Installers ripped-up old sheet vinyl flooring in entry, kitchen and two baths, leveled kitchen floor, (for an additional charge) and installed new ceramic tile thruout.

Description of Work: FLOORS-R-US INSTALLED MOHAWK ENGINEERED FLOORING TO THE LIVING ROOM, DINING ROOM, AND ENTRY WAY TO MY HOME. THE PROCESS INVOLVED AN APPRAISAL, REMOVAL OF THE OLD CARPET, AND INSTALLATION OF THE HARDWOOD FLOORING. THE LEAD INSTALLER (BO) WAS SUPERB AND WELL KNOWLEDGEABLE OF ALL PHASES OF THE OPERATION. THE JOB HAS TAKEN 3+ DAYS, WHICH WAS REASONABLE. THERE WERE A FEW GLITCHES. BRINKS HAD TO REWIRE THE SECURITY SYSTEM. I THINK THAT THE APPRAISER COULD HAVE MENTIONED THIS MIGHT HAVE TO HAPPEN. THAT WAY I COULD HAVE HAD THE BRINKS TECHNICIAN AT THE "READY" AFTER THE CARPET WAS REMOVED. I ALSO HAD TO HAVE WORK DONE TO THE TOILET TO ACCOMMODATE THIS JOB. THIS OCCURRED BECAUSE OF A SHABBY INSTALLATION JOB DONE A YEAR AND A HALF AGO. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND FLOORS-R-US.

Description of Work: THEY REPLACED CARPETING WITH SPEAKER WIRING UNDER IT AND REFUSED TO REPLACED THE SPEAKER WIRE BACK UNDER THE NEW CARPETING. THEY ALSO DAMAGED MY TEAK DESK AND THEY REPAIRED IT. THEY DID FINALLY REPLACE THE SPEAKER WIRE AFTER I CALLED SEVERAL TIMES.

Description of Work: QUOTED VERY REASONABLE PRICES ($2.99 PER SF) FOR BAMBOO LAMINATE FLOORING ON TWO BRANDS THAT WERE AVAILABLE. AFTER CHECKING ALL OVER PINELLAS COUNTY, WE RETURNED ON THURSDAY, THE NEXT DAY, TO ORDER 700 SF OF BHK LAMINATE FLOORING. WE WERE INFORMED THAT THE FLOORING WE SELECTED SHOULD HAVE BEEN $3.99 SF, BUT THE $2.99 WOULD BE HONORED. HE SAID THAT MIKE MISQUOTED THE PRICE ON THE ONE WE SELECTED. HE GAVE US NO HASSLE OVER THIS, AND DID NOT TRY TO SWAY US TO THE OTHER BRAND. HE TOLD US THIS WAS EXCELLENT FLOORING, AND EASY FOR THE BEGINNER TO INSTALL. HE SAID THE FLOORING WOULD BE THERE ON FRIDAY OR MONDAY. IT ARRIVED MONDAY AS PROMISED, AND THE EMPLOYEES GLADLY LOADED THE HEAVY BOXES INTO THE VAN FOR MY HUSBAND, WHO HAD INJURED HIS BACK.

THE WORKMEN, CHARLIE AND JOHN, DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB LAYING THE TILE IN MY TOILET CLOSET, BATHROOM AND CLOSET. THIS IS A NARROW SPACE REQUIRING MANY SPECIAL CUTS TO ACCOMODATE DOORS AND VARIOUS CURVES. THEY WORKED TIRELESSLY AND CHEERFULLY TO DO THE JOB RIGHT! THERE WERE SOME PROBLEMS WHEN THE TOILET WAS LIFTED TO LAY THE TILE AND THEY WORKED WITH THE TIME ELEMENT OF WAITING FOR A PLUMBER TO COME AND ADDRESS THE ISSUE (WRONGLY INSTALLED BY THE BUILDER). THIS WAS A VERY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE ALL AROUND FROM SELECTING JUST THE RIGHT TILE (AND BRINGING HOME SAMPLES TO ACCURATELY MATCH EXISITING TILE ON TUB AND COUNTERTOP) TO THE INSTALLATION AND GROUTING OF THE TILE.
