Pete and the guys from Comfort Pools have remodeled many pools for us during the last few years. They do an amazing job, always a little more then expected. We do not work with anybody else anymore. Very professional, right on time and always a perfect product.

I called Comfort Pools for a price quote. I also had called two other companies for prices in order to have 3 quotes to compare. When making the appointment with Pete, I found him to be a little hard to deal with but I let it slide. Pete was going to try to come by my home somewhere around noon, but he had to go by a job in Tampa first and check on his worker to see if he needed help. He sounded kind of rushed, so when another company called and said they would be here within the hour, I sent a courtesy text to Pete to let him know not to rush because I had another appointment coming over and I didn't want Pete to show up and have to wait. I said if he could stop by anytime after 1:30pm that would be great. Now, Pete decides that he can't make it until tomorrow. OK, I'll wait another day. The next day Pete finally got here. Late. He had to call for my address again because evidently he didn't know the difference between Safety Harbor and Palm Harbor, but he got here and quickly wrote up the quote. He asked me how much the first guy quoted and I declined to tell him. I was getting price quotes in order to do a comparison. I was comparing not only the price, but also the quality of the work and the character of the owner. Pete's already snippy attitude got 5 degrees snippier. He started making remarks about my first price quote being a secret. He seemed very unprofessional at this point, but I stuck with him. I had to pry information out of him when it came to the process of the job and what it entailed. He spent some time knocking the first company that I had called, and said that he would do a better job than that company. As much as his demeanor and attitude rankled me, I was actually thinking of going with his quote because of his description of how he works the final finish and he offers a lifetime warranty. But he continued to be in rush mode and started telling me names of other companies to call. While standing in my driveway I finally said I am already getting 3 quotes, and I have no intention of getting more quotes to replace his. Then I said, 'quite frankly for a company that you tell me takes more time to do the job right, you seem to be in an awful hurry to get out of here'. And Pete tells me he doesn't want the job because we wouldn't be able to get along. That's why he is self employed he said, so he can pick and choose. I asked him why it was that he thinks that we couldn't get along, and as he was walking to his truck he turned and said 'I guess it was because you said the first quote you got was a secret.' That settled it for me. Here I was thinking of trying to work with someone with a lousy attitude and he just became so childish that now I will call another company to get a quote to replace his. Maybe he was having a bad day, I don't know.....but I have been in business for 40 years and I do know that you don't take bad days out on customers. Buyers beware.

I had several estimates over a two year time span and every company said it would be over twice what Comfort Pools estimated, as they claimed it would take as much equipment as a full size pool. Pete at Comfort Pools was not only fast but had some great ideas for us. Pete the pool guy was so upbeat and friendly that even the neighbors commented how pleasant he was. He worked with our time line and delivered what was promised. The pool looks beautiful! We could not be happier with the service and end product. I highly recommend this company!

I looked that they did quality work and it was done on time.

Pete, the owner of Comfort Pools, responded quickly to our request for a proposal. We went with his proposal for resurfacing our badly stained pool with Marquis Marbletite after applying an initial bond coat (an extra $500). First stage involved Mike and his assistant pumping out the water and applying the prep coatings. A different crew of about 6 men came another day to apply the final coat and begin filling the pool. Pete came to check on both crews. He told us what to expect at each stage and was available for questions. The project started on a Friday and ended the following Monday. Pete even called us on Sunday morning to check on the pool. His crews appeared to be efficient and hard working. The only negative was that the second crew could have cleaned up after themselves better. But the end result: The pool looks great.

I can't say enough good things about Pete and his crew. My pool went from 1974 dated and just plain ugly to 2016 beautiful and elegant almost overnight. The work was completed so quick and Pete was there every step of the way to see me through it. I am beyond impressed! If you are looking for a pool remodel just stop looking and use Pete! Nobody is better!

Superb all the way around. Pete is responsive and kept us updated all the way. He didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need and was very honest. He found out what we really wanted and made it happen. The pool is beautiful!

Pete has redone two of my pools. He is very professional. Gets the job done when he says it's going to get done. He is the pool guy.

I called Pete Monday, he checked the supplier and let me know right away he could come install Saturday unless he ran into a problem with the install. I voiced my concern over the phone about some of the handrails I had been shown and he ended up bringing me an upgraded handrail. He let me know a day or two ahead of time it was a more expensive piece but would not charge me the difference. Since it was not an upfront discount I did not accept but very much appreciated the offer. He called Saturday morning to give me an ETA, arrived at that time and got right to work. Everything went so smoothly we were both surprised! He thought he would have to come the next day. He very kindly helped me with a couple other pool related matters and we settled up and he was done, cleaned up, and gone! Very neat job, very nice handrail. He appreciated my use of Angie's List and I'm glad he was on it!

We had 3 quotes 2 were close together we choose comfort pools as he was very helpful making us make decisions, he also went out of his way to show us tiles & furnishes, he was very professional and communicated with us all the way.

Pete, (owner) gave his estimate and was very honest, answered all questions, did exactly as he said he would. Was on time, very efficient, very professional, he did move than I expected, covered every detail. Would highly recommend this company – I already have done this and will continue to do so.

We were very pleased with the work of Comfort Pools. We had a death in the family and had to go out of town when the work was scheduled. He came in our absence and when we got back the pool was finished. He followed up and gave good instructions for care and enhancement of the surface. It looks beautiful.

They are very honest, efficient, and the crew is dependable.
