Both gentlemen were very friendly and showed me what needed to be done before they started the work. After the work was completed, they showed me what they had done and ran through the sprinkler system with me to make sure everything was running properly. Service was great, but I felt the price was a little high.
Description of Work: They replaced the lawn irrigation pump.

They came Friday 2/3 during flooding rain because that was when the appointment was, and I convinced them to go and come back later when weather improved. They came back Tuesday 2/7 on time. They got to work, found the problem, fixed it, and did the tune up while here. They then gave me the bill, and I gave them my Angie's List discount coupon. I paid the balance, and they left.
Description of Work: One of six irrigation zones was not functioning. They diagnosed and located a faulty underground solenoid and valve and replaced it. They also did a Spring tune up by replacing 3 heads of various types and checking the system completely.

When I called for service I was treated as if I were already a customer...very friendly and professional. They arrived when they said they would and did an excellent job.

Everything went just as planned, on time as promised, and the work was done to my satisfaction. The service was perfect, and they followed up when I had some questions and the owner Charlie, even made a second trip with out charge, as part of the installation and tune up. I am very happy with the entire experience. Also, I think the price was very reasonable, and believe the company will stand behind the job.
Description of Work: I wanted a rain censor installed and my sprinkler system check out for efficiency. I found Charlie Wells came highly recommended on my Angie's list. When I called the lady that answer the phone, Diana was very nice and explained that a wireless unit might be best. We arrange a time for a evaluation and to test the system. Two very polite and knowledgeable technicians came out and made the installation. They checked the system and made some adjustments. I was completely satisfied with the job. I had some questions after the men left and called the office, Charlie came out and inspected the job and explained the sensor setting to me again. Additionally, while he was there I ask him to look at one of the rotors for a possible leak, he said it would not hurt to replace it, but that it was not that bad. For the time I could save the cost of a new one, it was up to me so I decided to replace it. I was impressed he didn't try to gouge me with any additional and unnecessary expense.

MAKING AN APPOINTMENT WAS EASY. THEY ARRIVED ON TIME, LOOKED AT EACH ZONE IN MY IRRIGATION SYSTEM AND EXPLAINED TO ME WHERE THE FLAWS WERE IN COVERAGE, AND WHAT CHANGES WERE NEEDED. I HAD TOO MANY SPRINKLER HEADS (AND THE WRONG KIND) IN SOME PLACES, NOT ENOUGH IN OTHERS. THE JOB TOOK TWO MEN THREE HOURS AND LOTS OF DIGGING. THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES AND LEFT MY LAWN AND SIDEWALKS NEAT. I WOULD SAY THE IRRIGATION COVERAGE IS MUCH IMPROVED, AND MY PLANTS AND LAWN SEEM TO BE DOING BETTER AS A RESULT. MY ONLY CRITICISM IS THE PRICE. THE MAN POWER WAS $25 AN HOUR, WHICH I SUPPOSE IS STANDARD, BUT SOME OF THE SPRINKLER HEADS RAN AS MUCH AS $27 EACH, WHICH SEEMED HIGH. IN ADDITION, THEY CHARGED ME A $40 TRIP CHARGE, WHICH WASN'T DISCUSSED AT THE TIME I MADE THE APPOINTMENT. I THINK IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN WAIVED ON A JOB THIS SIZE.

WHEN I WENT OUT HE WAS PUTTING A WHOLE NEW FILTER SYSTEM ON. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE PRE FILTERED WHICH THEY DID NOT DO, CAUSING THIS GUNK TO BUILD UP THROUGHOUT THE SYSTEM, BATHROOM LINES WERE ALL DISCOLORED. THIS EVIDENTLY STOPPED THE PUMP FROM WORKING. THEY ENDED UP COMING OUT AND CUTTING OUT THE PUMP AND A TANK AND PUTTING A NEW ONE IN. THIS IS NOT SUFFICIENT TO CARRY THE HOUSE AND THE SPRINKLER SYSTEM AND THE LINE TO THE POOL. I WAS BILLED ORIGINALLY $450 IN JUNE FOR THREE FILTERS AND THEIR OWN PEOPLE COULDN'T FIND THE THIRD ONE. THEY BILLED ME ON THE LAST FOR A TEMPORARY PUMP, THEY LEFT THE TANK AND PUMP IN MY BACKYARD AND WHEN I ASKED THEM ABOUT IT, THEY SAID " WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO WITH IT".
Description of Work: THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO CHECK THE SPRINKLERS AND PUT A NEW FILTER.

THIS IS A CHEAPER WATER FOR THE GRASS. WE ALREADY HAD THE PIPES. THE CREW THAT WAS SENT OUT DID SEEM KNOWLEDGEABLE IN WHAT WAS GOING ON. THE COUNTY HAD TO COME OUT TO LET US KNOW THAT THE SYSTEM DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH PRESSURE. THE COUNTY HAD TO REDO THEIR PIPE. THE CREW DISMANTLED SOME OF THE PIPING WHICH WAS MISSING WHEN THE COUNTY CAME BACK OUT AGAIN. THEY COULD HAVE DONE A BETTER JOB IN COMMUNICATING. THE OWNER DID COME OUT TO RECTIFY IT AND STATED THAT THE CREW THAT WAS OUT WAS "LET GO".

THEY DID TRY TO GET THE WELL AS FAR OUT AS THEY COULD BUT THEN AFTER DIGGING THAT WELL, THEY STATED THAT THERE WOULD BE NO WHERE ELSE THAT THEY WOULD LOOK TO DIG. I HAD TO PAY THIS FOR ONE TRY DIG. I FELT THAT THEY COULD HAVE TRIED MORE DIGS TO FIND WATER IN THE YARD.

THESE PEOPLE TRIED TO RIP ME OFF BY DOING UNSOLICITED WORK WITHOUT MY REQUEST OR CONSENT. THEY WERE ALSO RUDE... I ASKED FOR AN ESTIMATE TO FIX AN IRRIGATION SYSTEM WITH LOTS OF PROBLEMS, WHICH DIDN'T WORK AT ALL. THEY ARRIVED TO GIVE THE ESTIMATE A FEW MINUTES BEFORE I GOT HOME AND THE 2 GUYS THEY SENT OUT INFORMED ME THAT THEY REPLACED A COUPLE OF SPRINKLER HEADS WHILE THEY WERE WAITING. WE THEN WENT THROUGH THE SYSTEM WITH A FINE TOOTH COMB AND THERE WERE MAJOR PROBLEMS. WHILE WE CHECKED THE SYSTEM THEY ALSO FIXED A SMALL LEAK IN A PIPE, WHICH JUST TOOK ABOUT 1 MINUTE. I ASSUMED THEY HAD JUST DONE THESE VERY MINOR REPAIRS TO BE PROFESSIONAL AND WIN MY BUSINESS - CLEARLY THEY WERE PATCHING A SYSTEM THAT DIDN'T WORK ANYHOW. WHEN THEY SENT ME THE ESTIMATE IT INCLUDED A BILL FOR THESE ITEMS! WHEN I CALLED TO COMPLAIN THE WOMAN WHO ANSWERED THE PHONE HAD THE NERVE TO BLAME ME FOR NOT ASKING WHY THE GUYS WERE MAKING THE REPAIRS! STAY AWAY FROM THESE ''BAD SEEDS''!!
