What can I say about this awesome team that you don't already see on Angie's list. They are very professional and very detailed. They provide you with so much more information than I would have ever expected. Michael and Jenn were fantastic! They spent many hours in the home checking out everything. After their inspection was complete they provided a complete and thorough walk through of the home and property. We never felt rushed and they literally took the time to go through every detail. They explained how everything worked, informed us what we would need to do to maintain the home, and they warned us about possible issues both big and small. Very honest and patient. Honestly could not be happier with their service!

Michael has done a few inspections for me and my family. He did the last one on a very short notice due to a last minute closing and provided me a full comprehensive report on time. He is extremely professional, reasonably priced, and thorough with the inspection. If you dont believe me ask him for a sample report. He also spoke with the builder on my behalf and had them expedite the suggested fixes, I had nothing to worry about 2 days after his inspection when I did a walk through and a punch list, every minor dent was marked with tape in the house. 5 star service overall and would use his services again!

Michael did what seems to be a very thorough job. He took the time to answer all my questions on the phone and to explain the inspection process. Honestly, I was a little concerned that he didn’t really talk to me about any issues on the day of inspection. He was a bit short, however, he and his partner spent 3.5 at the house (7 man hours) throughly inspecting the home. He wasn’t getting distracted by conversation. He got the report to me in about 24 hours. When I called him back a couple days later he was very easy to talk to and explained everything I asked and more. I would definitely recommend Bay Home Inspections to anyone. I will also mention his fee was lower than other companies I called but I did not hire him because of that. I would most definitely hire Michael again for any future inspections

Michael & Jennifer were an absolute pleasure to work with during and after the inspection was completed. The Home Inspection, Four Point Inspection & Wind Mitigation Report were all required. Michael did not charge me for the Four Point or Wind Mitigation until we knew we were moving forward with the purchase of the home. They were referred by my realtor who has used them several times and has been very satisfied. Michael & Jennifer took the time to explain every detail of the inspection where repairs were needed, so I knew exactly what was going on during and after the inspection. I wrote a small review previously. I wanted to follow-up after I made the repairs/modifications for our newly purchased home. Michael's report was "dead on" with respect to what needed to be done. We were able to focus on the items that needed to be upgraded now from those that could wait. We are extremely happy with Michael and his wife's inspection. In addition, Michael provided input on a team that painted and upgraded our house. They are absolutely the finest crew I have used for home maintenance. We worked daily with them and made modifications here and there based on what we found as work progressed. They were so knowledgeable about painting/home repairs that they could inform us what we may want to do and what really was not necessary. If you use Michael, get his input on home upgrades/repairs.

This a 2for review They performed two inspection within one week for 1 was a complete disaster and 1 had "good bones" and I am proceeding with the purchase. I requested an inspection via email and he was able to proceed with the inspection the very next day. Perfect. Mr. and Mrs. Bender work as a husband and wife team and did an incredibly thorough inspection of the property on which I have made an offer and would like to purchase. In a small property, they spent over four solid hours inspecting every corner, crevice, hiding place and places I did not know exist. They showed me where there are possible problems in the future and explained why, in layman's language. They followed this with a detailed report, with photograph, showing everything and anything that could be considered a possible need or reasonable expectation for the structure, power and appliances within, Now I have the information necessary to speak with the Seller openly and directly regarding any concessions either of us must make in order to make the deal we have decided on work for both of us. The Benders have show me, page after page, what must be addressed immediately for safety reasons, what can be considered immaterial because it is cosmetic, what might require repair or service in the reasonably near future but currently is functioning correctly. Wow. As a consumer, I feel informed and absolutely empowered and cannot think of a better way to have protected my interests in this transaction, because other than me, only two people actually worked only for *my* benefit: Mr. and Mrs. Bender (Michael and Jennifer Lynn). FYI: Couldn't meet a nicer couple. Just good, old fashioned, salt of the earth people. I selected them based on an amazing reputation: it is all true, and they are two of the nicest people in any business.

Excellent! Not only were they able to squeeze me in the next day, Mike and his wife were there ahead of schedule and quickly got to work on the exterior of the house while I made my way from work. Once there, he went out of his way to give me some info tips on some ways to improve the safety and security of my home. They are both very knowledgeable and thorough in what they do and, more importantly to me, they are efficient. In and out in the minimum amount of time and I had my report that night. I'll definitely use them again in the future and recommend this business to anyone and everyone who may need a home inspection done.

Michael responded quickly to my request and explained thoroughly and clearly what would be done and how. His approach is exactly what you want for someone who is checking the status of your home, in my case and existing home I’ve owned for 24 years but I wanted an update on what shape it is in and what priorities I might need to focus on. This was so important to me because it’s an older home and most people are trying to sell you services, but this is the person who will thoroughly and honestly assess. And thorough is the word for it. He and his wife came as a team and they are both fantastic, look in every corner, crevice, attic, crawl space etc. I feel I got a complete and accurate picture of what is and is not a problem, big and small ( ex. Found a “hot neutral” GFI, improperly wired...who knew? Well, now I do. Fantastic price especially for the time spent. Will definitely have them for my mother’s home, as well!

From running the washing machine to inspecting the roof and attic, to identifying hidden cracks, to finding even the smallest potential issue they could not have done a more thorough and accurate job. I hired Bay Home Inspections LLC to inspect a new roof on my home. I had some specific requirements and questions about the construction process and materials that the roof contractor had used. In addition, Mr. Bender also performed a wind remediation inspection for me. The wind remediation report will allow me to pay a discounted price for homeowners' insurance from now on. What a pleasant surprise this team was! Mr. and Mrs. Bender arrived exactly on time. Then, like a well oiled machine, they examined my home from stem to stern! Mrs. Bender, nimble and athletic, climbed into the shallow attic and measured and inspected every aspect of the recently completed new roof, while Michael Bender climbed the ladder to inspect the exterior of the house and the upper part of the roof. Afterwards, Michael explained to me everything I needed to know about roofing construction methods, code requirements, and to what extend my roofer had followed my roofing plans and agreements. Michael Bender is a Certified Master Inspector and has a vast store of knowledge and experience. Both partners were so professional and exacting in their work, it really impressed me. In addition to the inspections, with patience and kindness, they both gave me excellent advice about termite tenting and mold prevention and treatment. They did an excellent job and the price was RIGHT!

Michael Bender was, in a word, amazing. We accompanied him for much of the inspection, and why. He looked at literally every square inch of our new condo, no detail was overlooked! One of the things he recommended was a new air conditioner (The existing one was over 20 years old and inefficient - the usual life of an a/c system is about 12 years). We found out from the seller's realtor that a previous inspector had NOT recommended a new a/c, and yet it clearly had to be done. So we were very happy to have Michael recommend that, so the seller took that amount off the condo price! Michael made a number of photographs for his report, so they clearly show what needed to be repaired. For example, there was a water stain on the ceiling that was almost invisible to the human eye, but Michael found it (again, the previous inspector had missed it), so the condo association had to fix it and repaint before the sale was final. I could go on and on. Michael was a delight to work with, and spent extra time to do the work to his standards. I would recommend him without any reservations whatsoever!
