Description of Work: I researched home inspectors to perform the inspection of the home I'm buying in Florida. I chose Michael Bender and Bay Home Inspections, due to Angie's List recommendations. Great choice! When I called the company, Michael answered the cell phone himself, as is his practice. He was very pleasant and professional. I scheduled the inspection on-line. Michael was very responsive and emailed both my realtor and me, regarding. He was more than prompt for the appointment, was extremely thorough, professional, and communicated with my realtor, throughout. I received the inspection, electronically, the day of the inspection (including digital photos). I couldn't be more pleased with Michael Bender and Bay Home Inspections.

Description of Work: Michael was very informative and professional on the phone when I contacted him. He and his partner showed up on time and ran us through what to expect. He even managed a slightly uncomfortable situation between us, the homeowner and the real estate agent. |He found quite a bit wrong with the property that we had not noticed, often offering us some advice on how it might be best handled. We ended up not buying the house but learned quite a bit from Michael through the experience. We definitely plan on using Bay Home Inspections when we put in our next offer.

Description of Work: Air handling unit was dripping condensation. There was also mold in the closet where the air handler is. Michael Bender, owner of Bay Home Inspections, looked at the situation and made practical, cost effective recommendations that saved us a great deal of money. I was able to treat the mold myself, and the air conditioning company followed his recommendations, which solved the dripping. We have dealt with Michael before - he is ethical and goes to great lengths to be helpful.

Description of Work: Impressive and very thorough work. Michael identified two different shades in wooden floor which had gone unnoticed by us and even by realtor. The report was delivered expeditiously, I was impressed that because we could not attend inspection, Michael skipped lunch to deliver report within couple of hours. He was very patient on phone and answered every question/doubt. The surprising things is me and wife saw this house built in 2010 few times before scheduling inspection however numerous things went unnoticed that Michael identified in report. We thought since house is built in 2010 with new appliances we should not be much concerned, Michael identified repairs costing $2000! Honestly speaking, I took risk by selecting Bay Home Inspection purely based of Angie's list, despite I had recommendation from realtor, but I am glad with my decision. Description of Work: gave a full, very detailed inspection. they explain everything after they finish right there, and then send you a full report. this is my second time using there service and were very happy as is my realtor.

Michael Bender responded to all inquiries in a prompt manner, was flexible in his approach and was willing to take the time especially when we lived out of state and wanted someone we could trust. Not only that but he was also willing to make referrals to other qualified inspectors ( termite ) was patient and followed through.. If you need someone to trust, hire this guy!

Description of Work: The inspectors showed up promptly to the property and performed a thorough inspection. They were obviously experienced due to the fact that they not only pointed out the house's issues, but also gave recommendations on how to fix the problems. The inspection consisted of total house detail including all rooms, windows, attic, roof, garage, electrical, plumbing, exterior, and pool. The review was extensive and provided within a few days of the inspection. I gladly endorse this company for all your home inspection needs.

Description of Work: Michael and his assistant were very thorough and professional. They answered questions of my concerns and went through everything they inspected by doing a walk through in and outside. I had a report inspection the next day with every thing noted and photographed in color. Michael also gave me names of other contractors to call regarding repairs. I feel they were completely honest about everything.

Description of Work: Mr. Bender and his associate were on time and very thorough with our inspection. This was our first home purchase and Mr. Bender not only explained things so that we could understand them, but also informed us of other home owner issues that we were not informed about. He made the whole experience a pleasant one. My husband and I feel like we know a great deal more than we did before and have the confidence of tackling this next phase of our life. We will hire Mr. Bender again once we get all the repairs done that he informed us about. They inspected our roof to our foundation and everything inbetween.

Description of Work: team arrived ahead of time, waited patiently for us - tho we were also early. Polite and efficient they went about their job, inspecting the interior of the home the electric and plumbing and attic and outside - explaining things to us as they did. Even offered advice on correcting minor things. Were very pleasant to deal with. They found nothing major wrong with the villa and so soon after they left the deal was verbally closed - as they had stated that very little wrong was found upon their inspection. The next a.m. I had the report with pictures on my computer. I was very happy with the report and forwarded it to the sellers also. They said they appreciated it as they also learned some things that they would find useful in their search for the new home they would be buying out of state. I would recommend them and/or use their services again.
