Michael and his wife, they both very professional and ethical people when come to their job. They checked every little spot/corner in the house to make sure we know if anything is wrong. Their report very detailed on everything that the house either need to be fixed or replaced. They're VERY HONEST people, i said this because our realtor was trying to close this deal so bad that he was trying to pursue Michael not to report to us few of the major issues this house had. Of course, Michael report us a very detailed report with all the house issues. You want excellence and professionalism, hire this guy and you would not regretted.

My husband and I needed an inspection on a short sale home we are buying so we searched Angie's list and also had a referral from friends who had just used Bay Home Inspection company for their potential purchase. Turned out the top of both lists were none other than Michael Benders company, Bay home inspections LLC We have been praying over this potential purchase since November of 2012 and to find out that the highly referred company was also strong in their Christian faith was like a prayer answered...we were on our way. The emails to and from Mr. Bender were prompt and respectful he even called me Ma'am... True southern Gentlemen. The team showed up promptly and worked diligently. We were given a walk around after the inspection with details of all areas of the report. The full report was sent to us the same evening. Pictures, detailed notes and fully user friendly link to the online report. Made available the same day as the inspection while everything is still fresh in our minds. Fantastic! Peace of mind brought to my husband and myself...priceless! We will use this company again as well as recommend them to our other military and civilian friends alike. It is easy to say we give this company an A++++++++

We always read reviews before we buy any products or use any services, but this is our first time writing a review because we were very happy with the service provided by Michael and Jennifer. After the initial phone call, we were told to email them with some information of our home. They replied quickly and confirmed the date of our appointment. On the day of the inspection, They arrived early and started working right away. When they were done, they walked us through the entire house and showed us every bit of problem they could find. They were definitely very knowledgeable and patient, and were able to answer all of our questions to our satisfaction. Most importantly, due to our special circumstance Michael stayed up late in his office that same day (despite his busy schedule) and provided us with a detailed report. We would highly recommend their home inspection service.

This is the second house I have asked them to perform an inspection on. I like their attention to detail and thoroughness. They walked through all the findings in the report, explained each one in details and offered repair advice. Their price is competitive. Their schedule can fill up quickly but they made accommodations to do my inspection within a week.

Michael Bender and Jen arrived on time. They thoroughly inspected our home inside and out. They were polite, neat, and answered all of my questions. They reviewed their findings with me, and e-mailed their report to us that evening. The report was very detailed and included pictures. I would recommend them to anyone.

After getting about ten quotes, we decided to use Bay Home Inspection based on a referral from a family member. They were spot on! Michael and Jennifer were very pleasant to work with. They were incredibly thorough and as a result, went beyond the estimated time originally quoted for the inspection. It was evident they were making sure to look over and inspect every part of the house. Additionally, they both took extra time to show us anything that caught their eye and provided any insight they had on the probelm or area of interest. Michael Bender and his assistant showed up right on time and began the most professional, detailed, and courteous inspection I have ever seen in thirty years of owning homes. They checked everything from roof to slab, all the crawl space, turned every knob, pushed every button, and pulled every lever in between. They asked polite questions when required and never stopped working until they were finished two hours later. Their fee was very reasonable for the excellent quality work provided, and I had the report in an exportable PDF format within hours of completion of the inspection. Furthermore, the report is easy to understand. It does not get any better than Bay Home Inspections.

The process with Michael and Jennifer was smooth and efficient. After they finished the inspection they took the time to explain to me everything they found and how the issues would affect the house in the future . I received the completed, detailed report within 4 hours of them leaving. The report is very easy to read and understand. Each issue is listed seperately, with pictures, and icons to identify safety issues, expensive issues and "just fyi" issues. I really feel that I got more than my money's worth as their inspection saved me from spending money on a "money pit".

To sum up my review - Bay Home Inspections was very thorough in approach, flexible to accommodate special request of urgency, prompt and detailed in responding to questions before and after inspection, and continued support after the inspection with recommendations for service providers who can fix the problems identified. Exceeded my expectations from a home inspector ! I had looked up home inspectors on Angies list and chose Michael Bender's Bay Home Inspections for the sheer number of high ratings he had. And I am glad I did so - because Michael and his associate Jennifer really did exceed my expectations. I was a little apprehensive when Michael said that I was welcome to - but I need not be there for the inspection as he will not entertain questions during the inspection and he will give me a report in any case.. But I insisted that I will be there and promised not to get in his way - and it all worked out very well. Michael and Jennifer arrived at the site early and started the external inspection (the property was vacant) before we arrived with our realtor to let them in. Very silently yet thoroughly - both of them covered every inch of the house and were ready to talk to us after a through inspection that lasted more than 2 hrs. What exceeded my expectation was when Michael and Jen walked us through his findings in great detail, for 1.5 hrs - covering every nook and crevice - and not only pointing out what needs to be fixed, what kind of priority it should be (immediate, can be postponed etc) - but also telling us how to get it fixed. The biggest surprise was when he let me record it on video (joking that I can sue him later with the evidence) - but you have to agree that only a professional who is completely confident and certain about his work can allow you to put himself on the record. But I realized I need not have recorded anything when I received his report - so well explained and marked up pictorially with legends (what was a safety hazard, what was aesthetic etc). And he prepared it on the very same day that he did the inspection - on our special request - since we were one day away from inspection deadline. He had promised he would do so even if it meant burning the midnight oil - and he sure did keep his promise. It was there in our inbox when we woke up next morning. I also asked for Michael's help to find us professionals - once we prioritized what work we wanted to get done in the house - and was pleased to get a detailed mail. Bay Home Inspections - Michael and Jen - made our home inspection experience very smooth - and I would highly recommend their services to any prospective home owners. Michael and Jennifer were awesome. We had a new home buyer's inspection performed to make sure we didn't miss any of the builder's mistakes. Boy are we glad we did! They arrived at our new home at 8am and by the time we got there, they had completed the inspection. They took the time to go over every little detail on the report, from safety issues to cosmetic issues. If we saw something insufficient with the house that posed a concern to us, they put it on the report. Jennifer has an amazing eye for detail and Michael is thorough in his inspections and reports. Together, they make a great, efficient team. Both of them were very professional, caring, and easy to talk to. We will definitely be calling them again!

We had an inspection date scheduled and he came out on time, but my home was not ready for inspection. The electricity was not available. He worked around the Construction Manager's schedule and was able to juggle his schedule and after a few conversations came out AGAIN with very little notice. When we did a detailed walk through after inspection, Mr. Bender gave me tips on extras I was going to add after closing. He was very easy to deal with and after he walked away I felt like I made a friend that was sincere and really wanted this home to work out for me. Thanks to him, Bay Home Inspections, I was able to close on my new house on time. I would refer this company to anyone (friends and family) and would use them again! More than satisfied!

This was my first time getting a home inspection done. The job Micheal and Jennifer did was amazing, They were both very professional and on time. They took over 2 hours to complete the inspection and covered every inch of the house. I could not have been more pleased with the quality of their work. Michael and Jennifer arrived on time (and apologized for not being a few minutes early!), then took about 3 hours to inspect all areas of the house. After they were done with the inspection, they asked me to accompany them as they walked around the exterior of the house so they could explain what would be in their written report, why it would be in the written report, and suggested some remedies for each issue. Whenever we came upon something that would be included in the written report, Michael took the time to explain the issue and made sure I understood the current condition of that particular issue as well as the potential for further trouble if that particular issue was not addressed. With his experience and knowledge about the builder of this particular house, Michael was also able to explain the structural settling of the house so that I was aware that some exterior cracks were to be expected and what path the cracks should follow. As part of the inspection, they also inspected the roof, which was a flat-tile roof that was installed in 2001. Michael told me about some cracked tiles and one slipped tile, then told me the proper way to repair those issues. Michael also made sure I understood that there was a certain way to walk on a tile roof to avoid cracking tiles. Before we went inside, Michael explained his inspection of the pool and the pool pumps and related equipment. The same process was followed for the interior of the house. For example, while the skylight did not pose any issues or concerns at this time, we were taught to look for certain signs of leaks and to periodically monitor the skylight after a storm. They were very friendly and patient as we asked follow-up questions, and they answered every question. Two days after the inspection, we received a very detailed (and easy-to-read) 18-page report via email that included a summary of each issue with pictures. Many of the pictures had circles or arrows to draw our attention to the specific area of concern. In addition, the report classified each issue with one or more rating symbols that indicated whether the issue was a safety issue (that poses a risk of injury or worse) or what level of urgency should be assigned to this issue. The inspection report will be very helpful and allow us to monitor the situations when we move in! We also received a 7-page Wind Mitigation Report (with pictures) that we were able to provide to our insurance company. The information in the report allowed us to qualify for a $878 PER YEAR discount on our homeowner's insurance! We were EXTREMELY PLEASED with Michael and Jennifer (and not just because they confirmed that we were were buying a solid, well-maintained house.) They were very professional, very courteous and very conscientious about the current owner's property and fixtures. Their fee might be slightly higher than others on Angie's List, but we believe the service provided by Michael and Jennifer certainly justified their rate. As mentioned earlier, the discount we qualified for on our homeowner's insurance IN JUST THE FIRST YEAR was more than twice the cost of the inspection. We will certainly recommend Bay Home Inspections to our friends!

Michael was very responsive, and punctual. He and Jennifer did a thorough examination of the roof, explained the results and followed up by e mail with recommendations and offers of assistance. Very pleasant and professional, would use them again for any sort of home inspection and would recommend them to anyone.

Well, I guess all Home Inspectors have their pro's and con's... and I'm not easily pleased with today's approach to service oriented people. It maybe just the age thing (I'm 58) but from the moment Michael Bender and his associate arrived to the moment they left, I was impressed. He told me that a home this size was going to take about two (2) hours and I was welcome to stay and trail their examination or they would lock up if, I didn't want to stay. As I stated, I chose to stay and both of them made sure I was well informed on any areas that they found concerning. The two hours came and went and they were still busy sharing with me about this home. Even after the Home inspection was completed and the Report filed to my email, Mr. Bender made himself available to me for any follow-up questions that I had. He reminded me that if and when I get in the home to call him and he would be glad to review any items in the report with me. I am still in contact with Mr. Bender as we prepare to close on this home. Any additional documents that I need for the title company or bank they are prepared to send when requested. I would recommend Bay Area Home Inspections to anyone. They did a great job!

Bay Home inspections was extremely diligent and, per the seller agent "much more thorough" than other inspectors. I had a tight time frame related to address any inspection issues and Michael worked over the weekend to provide me a report in less than 1 business day from the inspection. Michael uncovered a structural concern and subsequently I had a structural company inspect and it confirmed Michael's exact findings. The house we are purchasing is an 87 year old home and Michael had excellent insight and did a fantastic job. Highly recommend.

They arrived on time & worked together like a well oiled machine; Jennifer working inside the house while Michael inspected the roof, garage and the exterior of the house. From time to time, each would point out specific items to me; sometimes just to educate me. This information was great and greatly appreciated. After the inspection, we toured the entire house, inside and out, going over each of the items that they thought noteworthy. Again, during this phase, the education was very valuable. The extremely detailed, with color photos, report was provided to me within 24 hours. It will serve as a reference as I schedule the repairs/changes recommended by Michael. Michael stressed that I can him anytime with questions regarding the report or simply for advice. One pleasant surprise, when I was preparing to write my check (for which I considered a very reasonable amount) Michael offered a 10% senior discount. I was not aware of that and he saved me $35. Bay Home Inspections is an outstanding company providing an thorough, detailed service, at a very reasonable price!

Bay Home inspections answered all of my questions about getting a home inspection and succeeded my expectations with their service once hired. We needed our inspection report ASAP and they stayed after work late to make sure we had it! They are very friendly and knowledgeable. Not only do they tell you what's wrong, but they provide your details on how you can fix it. If I had more properties I would not hesitate to hire them again.

. I called Michael on Thursday and had the inspection done the next day. Michael and his assistant were very professional and knowledgeable. They did a full home inspection that was quite impressive. They encouraged me to ask questions and to bring up any concerns that I have. Michael gave me his full attention and made sure that my concerns was addressed. Michael and his assistant (Jennifer) gave the home a complete inspection that's a homeowner's dream. The way the two of them communicated with each other was like watching a well oiled machine at work. By watching them work I knew that the home was in good hands. One of the things that stood out to me was both Michael and his assistant communicated with me in a manor that was easy to understand and didn't use terms and concepts that was over my head. They were straight forward and didn't sugar coat anything . You ask a question, you got a complete and full answer. But one of the most impressive things among others was that Michael made himself available anytime for me to call after the inspection just in case I had any other questions or concerns. I also receive the inspection report that same evening. Talk about service! The Property Inspection Report was very professional looking, detailed, with color photos, with arrows and circles indicating place of discussion. The report was very easy to read and understand with recommendations. If you are looking for an home inspector, Bay Home Inspections is the one I recommend that you call. They do excellent work, and you just don't get a home inspection, you get a home inspection and a whole lot more. I don't usually write reviews but the service was so good I just had to. You will not be disappointed. There are many home inspection companies out there, but for me and my home, I'm trusting Bay Home Inspections LLC and you should too.

Excellent!!!! I met Michael at the home he was inspecting for me which I was planning on purchasing. I left and came back 4 hours later and he took me around the home and showed me every problem spot and told me if it was a major problem or small fix. I was very impressed as when I first looked at the home I did not notice any problems, I was wrong there were quite a few but only one major one. Without using Bay Home Inspections I would have never known about the problems until after the closing. Now I know how much the home will actually cost with repairs added to the price of it. Responded quickly, arrived at the exact appointment time and took his time reviewing all the items needing attention, repair or simply improvement suggestions. I wish we had found him to do the home inspection before we bought 5 years ago. He found items that the inspector we used prior to closing should have found (we used one recommended by our Realtor). We recently purchased a home in Odessa, Florida. Coming from New York, we were not sure who to use for our home inspection, so we turned to Angie's List. After doing our research, we decided Bay Home Inspections was the company we would use. I contacted M. Bender by phone, and even though he had a very full schedule and it was a holiday weekend, he was able to accomodate us and perform the inspection on June 29th, as we had to have it done prior to July 2nd since the homeowners would be out of town. Even though I never met Mr. Bender in person, I felt very confident with his professionalism over the phone. Mr. Bender performed the inspection and found a few minor things wrong with the house. He contacted my husband by phone and provided us with a written report less than 24 hours after the inspection was complete.
