Michael was very responsive and prompt through the entire process. From initial contact through the inspection and delivery of the report he was punctual and timely. Michael and Jennifer arrived at the new home, spoke with the remodeling contractors and went to work. Even the contractors commented on their thoroughness. The report arrived the next morning as promised.

Michael and his associate we awesome! They were punctual and professional. I feel very confident in purchasing this property after his extremely thorough inspection. They took plenty of time going over all of their findings, gave a lot of great suggestions and advice. When we scheduled the inspection, we had a date mix up because of a cell phone issue when we were talking, so Michael rearranged his schedule to accommodate us and the dates for the closing of the home. Michael performed a thorough inspection of my crawlspace and emailed me a detailed report the very same day. He included the structural evaluation that I requested as well as suggestions and recommendations for things that could be done to prevent potential problems in the future. The report included many photographs with detailed descriptions of his photos and his recommendations. I highly recommend calling Michael for any of your home inspection needs.

Michael and his assistant spent more than three hours going through the house in great detail. In the past, I have spent a similar amount of money for only one person, so having an extra person was a big plus. They were very thorough, and identified a number of items that I suspect others would have missed. They were particularly knowledgeable about household equipment. Within 24 hours, they provided a very detailed and well-written report, containing numerous photographs of all the key items. It is the best experience I have had with a home inspector, by far.

I hired Bay Home Inspections LLC after speaking to Michael Bender. I had 3 contractors and they were all good but i chose michael after he informed me of what he does in the inspections and he did them himself. The other 2 were right there but you have to pick 1 and i went with Bay Home and Mike. He did a AWESOME job . I am a broker and owner of a Real estate company in Boston MA so i deal with inspections monthly. Being out of state and having the work done i have to say i really was impressed and I am not easily impressed. Michael not only did a complete, detailed, and absolutely thorough home inspection- he was extremely courteous, provided wonderful customer service, and is a consummate professional. The report was very detailed- easy to read and understand- many pictures were provided- he made recommendations throughout which was very helpful. Michael was punctual and the inspection lasted about three hours. I was walked through at the end and all his concerns were pointed out to me, along with detailed explanations and fixes. Michael provided us not only with a general home inspection, but a four point and wind mitigation as well. All were done to my complete satisfaction and his rates are very fair. In our case we are relocating from NJ to S. Tampa. Due to certain circumstances our time frame was very limited- we had explained this to Michael and he actually provided us with the full home inspection report AND the four point AND the wind mitigation within literally 6-7 hours after inspection. This is really above and beyond good customer service in my opinion. We could not have bern more grateful and pleased. Buying a home is a stressful enough experience, know that if you use Michael you will not have to be concerned with the quality and thoroughness of your home inspection, which cannot be overstated enough. Bay Home Inspections arrived on time (even before we got to the house) and immediately began prepping for the inspection by photographing all the key components. They were efficient, but extremely thorough and pointed out any findings (even small, non-issue findings) as we they went along. At the end of the inspection, they walked through each area and finding and explained things to us so that we could understand. The inspection report was provided online within 2 days and was very thorough including photos of each area of the house and close ups of anything specific to look at. They also very expediently provided a wind mitigation report to use for home insurance purposes. Most impressively, Michael took time after the inspection to answer questions both on the phone and by email, with usual prompt responsiveness. Overall we were extremely happy with the result, and both our realtor and the seller's realtor were impressed and planned to recommend Bay Home Inspections to future homebuyers. I have also already recommended them to a co-worker who is in the housing market.

They were friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. They identified all issues and gave an idea of how urgent and how costly they would be to repair. They also gave us an idea of anything else we might see failing soon, so we could plan accordingly. Michael even told us we could use him as a resource for as long as we wanted - amazing! Mr. Bender is a great asset when buying an older home. He is knowledgeable and extremely thorough when inspecting the property. He arrived early and spent 5 hours identifying every detail that may be of concern. My husband met him later and he walked my husband around areas of concern and answered any questions posed. My husband felt better in purchasing the home after having Mr. Bender inspected it. I also appreciate the genuine kindness and offer to answer any future questions we may have. I chose Bay Home Inspections after reading all of the great reviews they received. All of the reviews were spot on. My appointment was easy to make and was confirmed with an email. Michael and Jennifer showed up right on time and met with our realtor. After about 2 hours, Mike called me to meet him at the house. Michael and Jennifer walked me through the house and went over every minute detail with recommendations on how to remedy some minor problems. They were very thorough and it seemed like they used a magnifying glass to inspect the entire house. They answered all of my questions and concerns. I was very happy with the detailed inspection and went home at ease knowing the older house we were about to purchase was in good shape. He was even able to send me the full written report later that night! Michael and Jennifer were both outstanding and it's easy to tell that they take great pride in the quality work they do. Appointment was made and confirmed through email. Michael and partner arrived on time, and explained right away how the work will be performed. They wore booties over their shoes when inside the house--that's always a plus. The partner went in the attic to inspect the roof. Michael already had the report prepared before he arrived and finished the rest shortly after the inspection. He sent the report to me by email 30 minutes after he left. He even texted me to notify me when the report was sent. Great communication and smooth service all around. The whole process took less than 30 minutes.

Mr. Bender and his partner arrived on time and began work right away. My realtor met them and I joined a couple of hours later. I can't say enough about the professionalism and knowledge offered by Mr. Bender. Both he and his partner were extremely courteous, patient, and knowledgeable. They estimated the inspection would take around 3 hours but they ended up spending almost five hours on site. After they completed the very extensive review they walked me around the house, both inside and out. While I knew the home had some serious issues, I had no idea just how many. Mr. Bender was able to identify a large number of issues, large and small, and was able to place each item in context (how expensive to repair, how important, maintenance required, etc.). They even managed to find a moisture issue under an area where the hardwood floor looked slightly discolored. I assumed it was just scraping from furniture or something, but with their equipment Mr. Bender and his work partner were able to identify that there was significant water and that it had penetrated a support beam nearby, and that the moisture receeded as you went up the beam. This was just one of many things that were not obvious to me. Probably the most amazing aspect of their service was the deep and wide knowledge offered by Mr. Bender. Plumbing, electrical, equipment, pool deck, termite issues, etc., etc. Also impressive was the attention to detail and the emphasis they put on items that represented a safety risk (like stairs to the attic that were sub-standard). I was more than pleased with the service provided. Mr. Bender was able to inspect my house on very short notice (needed by me due to a short window in our contract), did an amazing job of finding a large number of issues--some major some very minor--and did everything with enormous professionalism. I am a university professor and I think the reason I liked their service so much was that Mr. Bender clearly had an intellectual's mind. Enormous knowledge of home constructions of all types, a puzzle solving mindset, and a desire to share what his skill set producced. The written report provided was stunning in its detail and amount of information given. Great, high-quality pictures provided throughout along with a key that helped you understand which issues were going to be expensive to fix, which you should just keep an eye on, and which ones were serious safety issues. Let me mention one other item. During the walkthrough after the inspection Mr. Bender and myself were being followed around by the owner who tried to dispute various things. Mr. Bender kept his courtesy and simply communicated facts to me. His partner managed to get the owner talking about something else and corralled him off away from us so we could finish the inspection. That was an impressive and subtle piece of work. These two know what they are doing. I also found their price to be very reasonable, especially given what a great job they did and how thorough they were. Frankly, the experience restored my trust in the possibility of finding honest contractors who actually want to perform quality service at a reasonable price. Mr. Bender will be performing my next home inspection (we passed on the house due to the problems discovered), and I'll be recommending him to anyone who asks.

This company was extremely thorough with their inspection. They gave us a link to their website where the report could be viewed as well as a PDF file for us to save. They identified each item in the report with a legend that showed exactly how important each item was from just information to items that were a health or hazard risk. They spent a couple of hours on the phone with us verbally going over each item as well. We were not in town at the time of the inspection and could not be present to see it in person. Our report had 80 items identified and many pictures that went along with each item. The inspector was very helpful and very polite. Plus he was patient with me when I was not familiar with all the terms used in building a house. There were a couple of times that he recommended that we get a specialist involved to further explain these items beyond the scope of his knowledge. We ask him for suggestions of a company who were certified in these areas and he was able to find some names and numbers to call. I had several contractors review his report and they too were impressed with the amount of detail included in his report. We would definitely use Bay Homes Inspection again and recommend them to others. Also our daughter used this company for their home inspection and recommended them to us. They should get an A.

Michael and his team were outstanding. We requested some non-standard services that other companies refused to perform, but Michael had no issue whatsoever. He kindly spent about an hour with us walking us through his report and giving personalized insight. I wholeheartedly recommend him.

Micheal Bender and team were very thorough with the inspection. They were very detail orientated and went over what seemed like every inch of the home where they found issues that would have otherwise been an oversight. They are very friendly and professional and even arrived early and went to work right away. At the end of the inspection they walked us through the property and took the time to answer any questions we had. Micheal and his team saved us from buying a home that would have been a money pit due to the fact that it was first of all listed incorrectly as a block home and turned out to be a totally wood frame home which completely changed the value of the home and also due to incorrect installation of the exterior structure, stucco on wood with no relief holes, the home's structure was on its way out. Thank you again Bay Home Inspections! Never experienced a staff that really looked out for the customer's best interest such as Bay Home Inspection.

Michael and his wife, they both very professional and ethical people when come to their job. They checked every little spot/corner in the house to make sure we know if anything is wrong. Their report very detailed on everything that the house either need to be fixed or replaced. They're VERY HONEST people, i said this because our realtor was trying to close this deal so bad that he was trying to pursue Michael not to report to us few of the major issues this house had. Of course, Michael report us a very detailed report with all the house issues. You want excellence and professionalism, hire this guy and you would not regretted.
