Mike and Jenn made this aspect of buying a home a true pleasure. They inspected EVERY inch of the house and barn looking for possible problem areas. Attic was crawled trough, all the accessible nooks and crannies looked into. Jenn actually climb down into a culvert to make sure it was structurally sound! I always ask a LOT of questions, they answered all of them , some I did not think of were also answered. We were provided with easy ways to fix few small issues with the property that will save us money and time while maintaining house in proper order. They are true professionals with such a friendly and warm approach to their clients . Our realtor had not worked with such a detailed oriented and meticulous inspectors. Example? Mike found a nest and provided us with egg count. Wind mitigation inspection will give us more savings on insurance payments in one month then we spend on it, HIGHLY recommend getting one if Mike suggest one. Micheal arrive on time with his partner. They spent 2 and a half hours going over the home inside and out. They both pointed out positive and negative issues with the property along with recommended remedies. The Inspection was completed at 4:30 pm and at 6:45 pm I had an email that contained the inspection report with over 70 photos and recommended solutions to the problems that were found. I was very satisfied with the quality and professionalism of the inspection, the eagerness to explain things and responses to my questions.

Michael and his wife Jenn arrived on time, introduced themself in a very professional manner. After 2 hours, when they finished they answered all of our questions. We got our report the same day and it was very detail oriented, they did not miss a thing .......which helps us a lot with our buying decision. Both Michael and his wife were responsive to any questions and showed things that could be concerning as they discovered items as well as documented everything in a PDF with a URL like to view/print and download. They are a very knowledgeable team and were very professional. If I ever need another inspection I will certainly use them again.

The inspections (2) were extremely thorough and thoughtful. Due to items discovered during the inspections we passed up one house and are delighted with our purchase of the second. This was a lovely home. What Michael found was a host of things that needed fixing some very important some you could wait to address. He and his assistant were punctual and very professional. If you need a home inspector do not look any further.. He is the best. Overall he spent approximately 3 hours with his inspection. I would highly recommend his company. If I could give him a higher grade I would.

Michael Bender was amazing! We live in Maine and had a property inspected in Florida. We had to do everything by phone. Michael was so prompt, thorough and provided us with a tool that was instrumental in the negotiation of our home. I would strongly recommend this individual to everyone! He is an honest and trustworthy person which is a rare find today.

This was the second time we used Bay Home Inspections, the first time Mr. Bender's thoroughness saved us from making a mistake of purchasing a home, that had several hidden problems. When we went under contract for another home, we did not question but to use Bay Home Inspection again. During our inspection Mr. Bender pointed our electrical problems within the home, that would prevent us from obtaining homeowners insurance. Once we made arrangements with the sellers to repair the electric. We encountered the seller's electrician trying to avoid pulling proper permits. We were able to contact Mr. Bender and ask for his opinion in the situation. He was able to assure us that permits with the proper governmental agency was required for the work. Once the seller's electrician was notified of the situation permits were pulled for the work. Once all the work was completed Mr. Bender came back out to inspect the work, and provide us an updated four point inspection. Now we are closing our on first home in 2 days! We appreciated all the help Bay Home Inspection did for our family, if we had questions we were able to email them, and they responded very quickly, sometimes on the weekends.

Michael was courteous, professional, and extremely through. He definitely did the job with my best interests in mind. I really felt he was working for me. I highly recommend him to others.

Both Michael and Jen were very friendly and did a very thorough inspection of my parents home. We intend to call on them to inspect the new home my parents will move into as well as inspect my families current home and the home we will be moving into as well in the near future. Very personable and professional. Went about their inspection in an orderly and very organized manner. After the inspection the inspector and his wife(she is a great asset), went over every aspect of the house with us explaining in detail what they found and what should done. Very thorough. They arrived on a timely basis, introduced themselves, briefed us on what was about to transpire, and what they would be doing. They went about their inspection of the home in an informative and professional manner. Upon completion of the inspection we had a "get together" to go over what they found lacking, and what they found good. A question answer period followed with a walk through and they were on their way. Michael and Jennifer were obviously knowledgeable, professional, thorough, informative, and helpful in answering any and all questions we might have had. Micheal and his wife performed a home inspection on a house we are going to buy. They were very pleasant to do business with. Both of them are very knowledgeable and took their time to go over every square inch of the property and house. This is a 50 plus year old house and they made sure every "T" was crossed and "I" was dotted. They are so good at what they do. I am glad I found them on Angie's List and trusted the high A rating they have. They had great attention to detail and delivered a lengthy and extremely detailed report on the same day. I hired Bay Home Inspections for the second time to do a buyer home inspection. Just as with my first experience with them, they were early, extremely thorough, took the time to review their full inspection with me, and had the formal report sent to me within hours of the inspection. Michael and his wife arrived promptly, they were very personable. I felt like i had help from a friend rather than a business. He recommended a trustworthy, reliable service person for a different issue. Spent over two hours conducting a thorough inspection of the home. Going above and beyond taking the time to explain how to maintain the home and air conditioning system. Issues to be aware of in the future such as structural cracks and roof deterioration. They were friendly, pleasant and professional in their demeanor. I was present the whole inspection period. I received the inspection report promptly and i would recommend this business to anyone.

Michael was waiting for me when I got to the home and I was early. He explained to me what he and his assistant were going to do and then we headed in the home. They were both conscientious about covering up their shoes when entering the house and made every effort to be as neat and clean as possible. The inspection took approximately 3 hours, checking everything from windows and doors, every single electrical receptacle, the HVAC systems, the roof from inside and out, etc. After the inspection was completed, Michael and his assistant walked me through the home pointing out all the questions and problems they had encountered. We were actually able to solve a few which was quite helpful. A report was ready for me later that evening. I couldn't ask for anything more. A great experience from start to finish.

Michael and his crew were very helpful in educating my husband and I on whether to purchase a home, that was owned by a bank. Bay Home Inspections, pointed out several potential health hazards such as (termite damage, structural damage, water leaking causing extensive moisture problems, plumbing and electrical issues). We received our report less than 12 hours of our inspection, and was able to provide it to the seller in a timely manner. We arrived and were shown around the house by the inspectors. They explained every detail of their work. They pointed out suggested remedies and offered to help in any future inquiry about their work. They completed the report the same day and forwarded a copy to me and others parties I requested. The report was very well structured, comprehensive and easy to read and plan for any repairs that may be needed. These people are professional!

Michael and his wife showed up a few minutes early/on-time for the appointment. They were here for a total of 2.5 hrs. They were extremely helpful and friendly, but most importantly very detailed oriented! They took photos and will be emailing a PDF of the report. They went over all of the moderate to major issues and made sure to thoroughly answer all of my questions. I found them to be extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy. We were unable to be there during the inspection but Michael went through everything with the realtor and provided a detailed inspection report with everything they found. The service that Michael and Jennifer provided was great. We had a tough inspection of a 4,200 sq home that required a lot of hard work and they went through every last thing on the house. There were issues with about everything in the house so it required them to be on the ball. They provided a very detailed report with pictures and while at the house they took the time to explain the good, the bad and the ugly with the house. They were knowledgeable on every aspect of the house, from the kitchen sink to the pool heater. It was really nice to hire such a great company. They far exceeded my expectations.
