It is with our deepest apology and regret that the member felt like he was misled in any way. There would never be any reason for us to string anyone along as that helps nobody in the end. Member was e-mailed after applying for a refinance with our complete recommendation after extensive research to make sure that member’s goals would be met. Because of reasons explained in the e-mail it was our opinion that the savings would not realize member’s goals. HERE IS WHERE we failed as we should have followed up with a phone call and gone over the e-mail. One month later member e-mailed us for an update on the status of the loan. We replied to member’s e-mail and tried a phone call to explain the e-mail that we had send a month earlier. Although the member instructed us the best way to communicate was e-mail we still should have followed up the original e-mail with a phone call and explained our recommendation. Members are so very important to us and please call us back or e-mail so that we can fully communicate with you our recommendation with the refinance and if rates lower when it will make sense for you to refinance.

Description of Work: I made contact with Mike to get a mortgage on a second home. After being told by the third representative that they didn't make enough money on a mortgage he recommended I refi my primary residence. He made a commitment to get an offer to me in a day and I haven't heard back. Wasted my time.

dear member. We appreciated you reaching out to us to assist you with a second home purchase. We do decide to help members based on the amount of money that can be made on a mortgage. If that was the case we would not have assisted several members. Your comment is the furthest from the truth based on the integrity of how I do business. I don't believe a member will find in the nearly 300 reviews a comment similar to yours about us not making enough money. We did educate you as to why you would not be able to do the 2nd home regarding your specific credit, income, & assets. While we spoke to we asked about your terms of your primary home and advised multiple reasons why a refinance would make sense to help you qualify for the other purchase. We did not waste your time and gave you solid advice.

Description of Work: Mike is very professional, prompt, responsible, and will assure you the best refinance package out there. We shopped around with several other companies before moving forward with Mike and his team. The terms Mike achieved for us literally blew the competition out of the water. Clearly, Mike has his client's best interests at heart even if it means him making less profit in the end. It's been a very long time since I have worked with someone as professional and customer-service oriented as Mike. Not only were the refinance terms better than any others out there, his customer service was through the roof amazing. Every phone call and email was immediately returned and our questions were promptly and fully answered---some even after business hours. Mike even took over an hour of his time to fully review our options with us before we agreed to proceed with his team. Talk about customer service--it really just doesn't get any better than that. If you are thinking about refinancing, you really should go with Mike and his team. We were so impressed with hs work we immediately referred one of our friends to him. I hope this review reaches a lot of people so others out there can benefit from Mike's great service.

Description of Work: I started with a refinance in August 2012 and began emailing information between me and Mike Murgatroy as well as one of his associates. They were very responsive at first and I sent all of the information they needed for my refinance of my rental. They had received a preapproval and said everything was on track they would be in touch. They said it would take 60 days and when I hadn't heard back from them and the 60 days started approaching I emailed (9/24) and didn't receive a response so I emailed Mike Murgatroy on 10/10 and copied the associate. Mike emailed me back that day (10/10) stating that someone would get back to me that day and nobody has contacted me since and it has been 3 weeks. They whole company receives an F for unprofessional behavior and response. I do not recommend them and wouldn't want anyone else to waste their time.

Description of Work: We contacted Mr. Murgatroy twice on both numbers listed on two different dates... because we really would like to find a decent mortgage company to refinance and renovate our home... we have been researching to find the right one and I thought we could trust what we read online here at about this one but evidently not... If he wasnt in the office for some reason he should have had someone checking his voicemail and taking the calls for him while he was away... this would be good business to keep the good name for the company he works for.. 2 strikes and I am done... I have already been disgusted by several general contractors who stated they believe a mans word is gold but then dont answer calls or show back up... I was raised where respect meant something and underhandedness didnt...I am greatly disappointed...

I find this report to be shocking since I log every message I receive and if I can't call back I assign to a team member. I have no record of any calls from the member. I will gladly review her scenario and advise her on any options available but don't have a phone number. I have not been on vacation and have been working the most hours of my 14 year career due to assisting so many referrals and happy Angie's List members who are currently in process and closing soon. I understand the importance of returning calls and customer service which has afforded me the opportunity to remain as a top mortgage advisor in the country. I did not complete any work per the report and I didn't receive any messages on my work number or cell phone. I'm more than willing to still review if Rhonda would like and I would appreciate this post to be removed since it is far from my way of doing business. High regards, Mike
