Mike is our go to person for all of our mortgage needs. He operates under principles of the utmost integrity and its difficult to find that in the Mortgage industry. This business is not easy to understand. For the layman its all about the rate, however there is more that goes into it then that. If Mike quotes you a rate and you shop him and leave him for another brokers promise, you will probably get taken advantage of in another area of the loan that you don't even know about or understand. Mike is a good guy and is very successful because of word of mouth and repeat business, why? Because he does the right thing by his customers.

It could not have been quicker or easier. Mike did everything he said he could do, and the refinance was complete in less than 30 days. There were no surprises. I am 58, I have obtained many home mortgages in my life, and this experience was by far the best. Credit to angies list otherwise I would not have found him.

Mike and everybody at Guaranteed Mortgage were very helpful and responsive throughout the entire process. When I had to change to my closing date Mike helped work out a solution and made sure everything was ready for the new closing date. They were always available to answer questions. Since it was a foreclosure auction purchase I needed extra flexibility to work around a schedule that we didn't have control of in a complex situation. There ended up being no problems and the loan went through with plenty of time and better rates than any major broker I was able to find.

Trustworthy professionals. They handled my loan very well. Considering we went under contract four times before we found a house with a good inspection result, they were very patient. Thumbs up! Remember folks, always ask for the amount you will see on line 803 of the HUD statement. If you see anything above 1% of the loan value, you are being taken advantage of, being played for a chump. Guaranteed Rate did my loan for less than that.

My husband I and used Mike M, Peter D, and the Guaranteed Rate team previously with our home purchase and refinance in Orange County, CA. They were great then and actually approached us with a way to refinance and save hundreds per month by doing so. We wouldn’t have known about the refinance opportunity otherwise. We knew we found a great team for all our mortgage needs from that point on. Mike, Peter, and his Guaranteed Rate were the natural choice when my husband and I decided to make a huge move from California to Florida. When we found the home we wanted to purchase, we called Guaranteed Rate. The local real estate agent strongly resisted us going with Guaranteed Rate and insisted we use a local lender she was familiar with. We told her no thanks; we have our team for life. By the end of the deal, the same real estate agent raved about how amazing Guaranteed Rate is and how wonderful they were to work with. This is especially true because 2 days before closing, Hurricane Michael hit closeby our new house. While we thankfully were not impacted, all mortgages had to be closely inspected in nearby counties. Guaranteed Rate made frequent calls to everyone involved in our real estate deal and quickly got us back on track to close in record time. Folks working with other lenders didn’t get so lucky and some are still being delayed. So this review is very long overdue! About 8 months ago my wife and I purchased our second home, what will hopefully now be our forever home. This was our second time using Guaranteed Rate. We had also obtained the mortgage to our first home with them nearly 6 years earlier. I can't say anything bad about Mike, Peter, and the rest of the team! Their responsiveness, attention to detail, and overall caring attitude is amazing. The housing market where we live is very competitive, so whenever my wife and I saw a home we were interested in, we would contact Peter Doucette right away. Peter was always available to talk (literally always)! It would sometimes be late in the evening or on weekends and he would respond almost immediately to any emails or messages. The team was very assuring that everything would go well, and they made sure of it by guiding us every step of the way. They even referred us to an excellent insurance agency, Goosehead Insurance, for our homeowners insurance. If we ever decide to purchase another home, Guaranteed Rate, Mike and team, will be the very first place we call. I am so happy with their service that I've now referred a few more of my friends their way, and am happy that they are helping a coworker friend of mine close on his first home within the next few weeks. To say that they made home buying easy is an understatement. I have dealt with several mortgage lenders in the past when purchasing other homes and there is no comparison. From my first contact with Mike, he was very helpful, extremely responsive, and professional. His team specializes in each part of the process which made it very efficient. I had a tight timeline, which was not an issue for Michael and his team. I got a great mortgage rate at competitive closing costs. They know their stuff and made the whole process easy.

Very well. Mike and Rick were very responsive, and I had all of the needed documents for my application uploaded in no time. I ended up going with another company only because of a guideline of their investor that my MN home did not meet, but would definitely contact them in the future should the need arise.

Everything went great. Best interest rate and closing cost estimates I found. The good faith closing cost estimate was actually a little higher than the actual closing costs, so that was a nice bonus. Dealt with a bunch of different people that all did their part. It was like an assembly line at a factory, just cranking along in a predictable fashion. They have a secure dashboard of sorts where you upload documents, with different buttons for different steps and different types of questions. Once they review the documents, they may have addition questions or requests and the buttons light back up with an explanation for what they need. Ultimately, the loan was sold to Chase, which I knew up front. My only complaint is the incessant e-mails and text messages requesting a review. I wanted to wait until the loan had been sold and I made my first payment before writing a review. The entire loan process doesn't end at closing. End the end, everything went great, but I would have rated higher if I wasn't bombarded with daily reminders to leave a review.

I was very happy with Guaranteed Rate. They are super efficient, and process your loan in a very short time. I recommend them to whoever that wants to get a mortgage or refinance. I am planning to use them again to purchase an investment property.

What a great experience - unbelievable customer service ! I was looking to get an equity line of credit. The gentleman I spoke with (Peter) was very helpful in discussing my situation and providing me with suggestions on how to proceed, as Mike Murgatroy Guaranteed Rate Mortgage does not provide equity credit lines. A short while after we hung up, Peter called me back to let me know that he had some additional information about someone at another company who might be able to assist me. I thought this was excellent customer service, as he certainly did not need to do this. I would highly recommend Mike Murgatroy Guaranteed Rate Mortgage based on my brief contact with them.
