Everything went very well. Customer service was excellent. They were very prompt in sending email repsonses, and if there was any delay they worked very hard to address it. They also tried to give me a competitive rate. Even though I could have found a better rate, I decided to use them. They kept all thier promises and I would surely use them again if needed. There is only one advice I would leave, which is that all documents for loan under writing should be complete 7-10 days before closing to allow enough time for the under writer to issue the loan documents. A special thanks to Mike, the manager, Andrew my loan agent, Connie, who prepared all documents, and Rita, the under writer representative.

Mike and his team were responsive and professional. Mike definitely emphasizes the team approach so we had no less than 3 people helping us through the process. Each one was prompt, responsive & professional. We went with Mike based on the excellent reviews on Angie's List, and we are happy we did. My husband actually sent them an email at the end of the process thanking them for all of their help (which is definitely out of the norm for my husband, so that in itself speaks volumes!!!). The good news was that the final rate & terms were even better than they initially quoted. We were pleasantly surprised by the communication and responsiveness and ease of the process. The software site that they use is awesome you can log in and check on the status of your loan, securely upload & sign documents and it automatically sends you an update when your application moves to the next step. We are VERY happy that we chose Mike and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Mike helped me refinance my house and get the mortgage in title completely in my name while reducing my month costs. I didn't pay anything out of pocket and when my house didn't appraise for what I expected Mike and his team presented me with options and were able to come up with a solution for me.

Michael and his team are fantastic I cannot tell you how much I trust him to take care of me when it comes to discussing my mortgage and/or refinancing. We have used him 3 times ourselves in the past 10 years I have known him. I've liked him so much that I have referred my 2 sisters families to him as we. They have also used him 2-3 times each. Thats how much we love trust and respect him. The one thing I really like about Mike is it is obvious he cares about his customers. The first time we refinanced with him I remember him calling me at 430 pm on a Friday--we are both East Coast-- he had been watching the charts for me for 1-2 weeks. He told me the time to lock-in was now. And I did and he was right as to the timing. I was so impressed that he was still working and watching things for me at a time so many people would sign off for the weekend. The other thing about Mike is he has also told me when not to refinance. So many people would take advantage of my wish and he took time to explain the costs would not be worth it. I cannot say enough great things about him. He is dedicated, punctual, caring, professional, and watches out for his customers even years after the first refinance happened. He also called me once 3 years after the last time he talked and he said based on his last contact with our financials, 3 years prior, it would make sense for us to consider a refinance. I couldn't believe it! I don't ever write reviews and Mike inspires me to do so. I can't imagine you could ever regret it.

I found out about Mike and his team at Guaranteed Rate through their exceptional ratings on Angie's List. From the start they were quick to respond and clear about the whole process. They quickly provided a "Good Faith Estimate" and pre approval letter to get the home buying process started. Upon finding a home, Mike presenting multiple loan options to best fit my family's needs. When I inquired about obtaining a USDA guaranteed home loan since my property qualified, Mike and his team presented that option in a clear to understand manner. I took Mike's estimate to my realtor's preferred mortgage broker to see how it compared to a local merchant. The local broker looked at the estimate and compared it to what he could offered. He was amazed at the rate and low fees I was getting and told me he couldn't come close to Mike's estimate and that "I would be crazy" not to go with Mike and Guaranteed Rate. Mike and his team were excellent communicators and walked us through the whole process and our closing was on time and without issue. Closing costs also came in lower than estimated which was a nice surprise. I would definitely recommend (and have already) Mike and his team at Guaranteed Rate!

Outstanding! We couldn't have higher praise for Mike and his whole organization. We were a bit leery about doing a refi long-distance with an "internet" mortgage broker ( as we are located in MN and they are in FL), but they were highly recommended on Angie's so we took a chance. The process truly could not have been any easier, or the results more satisfying than they were! Mike was upfront and forthcoming with accurate information right from our first contact with him through Angie's. Once we started the process, Mike and his team jumped on it and got things going right away. Everyone was very responsive to our questions and concerns, including Mike personally conducting a conference call with my wife and I to walk us through the process and make sure we had appropriate expectations about rates, programs, etc. They were very proactive in getting us our best deal on the mortgage - including helping us navigate the interest rate market before locking for the best rate, terms, fee discounts, etc. The application process was a breeze being completed and submitted entirely online. Mike's team is very tech-savvy, which allowed all supporting documentation from us to be passed electronically through the internet easily and without any delays ( via DropBox). Also for our benefit, all necessary documents and disclosures from them were reviewed and e-signed by us through the internet as well ( via DocuSign). During the whole process all communication was timely and responsive via e-mail or by phone. The closing was painless with a notary coming directly to our home to sign all of the paperwork. Then, just few days later, we received the residual proceeds from the closing via overnight mail. The whole process, from beginning to end, was right in line with the 30 days or so they told us to expect. In the end we got better mortgage terms than we had hoped for, in a process that was smoother and faster than we could have ever imagined. We have recommended Mike and his team to all of our family, friends and coworkers looking to refinance their mortgages, and would certainly recommend them to other Angie's List members. They truly deserve the highest accolades possible!

Mike and his team were amazing. They were great to work with from the beginning of my application process until the closing. Angie's List was right about Mike and his team! They are truly exceptional! I first talked with Mike a few years back when he was with another company. He was upfront about the implications from our short sale and sent me information via email. Fast forward 18 months later, and we were ready to buy. We spoke with a few other banks and brokers but none compared to the accessibility and knowledge of Guaranteed Rate. We worked closely with Andrew (we have nicknamed him Rock Star), but everyone from Mike?s team was awesome. Mike and his team were incredibly professional and easy to work with. Every step of the process was clear and well defined. We were made fully aware of our many mortgage and downpayment options. They worked with us on the best time to lock in our rate - even our title agent was impressed with the low fees and rate. Our lender credits were MORE than originally promised - which ended in a -$1,600 in mortgage fees. Mike worked with the our agent to ensure our pre-approval documents were in line with the seller's needs and spokes directly with the selling agent, furthering the security of our offer. Most importantly, the process was easy - from start to finish. As our first purchase, we had A LOT of questions. Every one was answered, with detail and clarity. Excellent overall experience. Andrew Fishman told me up front what documents were required which I then provided. He said to give him a few weeks to process and the loan would be ready for purchase of my new home. I got a great 15 yr rate and no money required at closing. I later referred him to a friend for a refi which went equally as well. It was a pleasure working with Mr Fishman and I have since referred him to at least 3 other potential clients.

The whole team is very professional with great service. I got the mortgage before closing in a short time frame as they promised in the initial discussion, and every team member was there to help.
