There aren’t enough words to express how great of an experience we had working with Mr. Murgatroy and the entire Guaranteed Rate team. Mr. Murgatroy was incredibly patient with my wife and me, and was thorough in explaining to us all of our options while being honest and forthcoming in exploring all of the options that were available to us. In addition to his great communication, the ease of the process and attention to detail while keeping us up-to-date throughout every step of the way was more than reassuring that we were in great hands. Case in point, we did a majority of our paperwork while on vacation in Hawaii, to include scheduling the home inspection, at no point did we feel disconnected from the Guaranteed Rate team. When we returned, we were able to conduct the closing at a location and time of our choice, which just happened to be at our home. Like most of us, I always dread the mortgage application procedure and process. Not anymore. Working with Mike and his team is painless, efficient and stress-free. No, I'm not related and I don't know him personally. It's hard to find this caliber of integrity in a company anymore so I want to give credit where credit is due. Not only was the mortgage process handled proficiently, over a year after I had my closing I had a problem with one of the vendors someone on Mike's team referred me to for a security system. I wrote to this team member to let him know I was not happy with the service and he should rethink referring to them again. He got to the bottom of it, the company in question was given my information, they contacted me and made sure my problem was fixed. The fact that they stood behind even a referral and intervened so long after my closing is quite impressive and shows the integrity of this company and their sincere desire to make sure their customers are happy. I have nothing negative to say about this company. Even as they have grown, they have maintained a high standard for their operations and the way they deal with their customers. Good job!!!

Mike and his team are absolutely phenomenal! Mike helped me refinance a previous home in the past. I had such a good experience with him, he was my first call when I decided to buy a new home in a new town. Mike talked to me about what my plans were and what my priorities were for a mortgage to purchase my next home. I had planned on going with a traditional loan (with 20% down). Mike found me loans like that. He also found me alternatively-structured loans so that I was aware of all of my options. I wound up going with a 10% down, 30-year fixed rate loan, but with lender-paid PMI -all with a very attractive rate. I am extremely happy with the loan he found for me. At every step of the application, pre-approval, approval, underwriting, and closing processes, Mike and his team were quick, accurate, and responsive. They never made me feel stupid for asking clarifying questions or pressured to make a decision before I was ready. Buying a house is stressful. Having the financing go smoothly takes a lot of the pain out of the process.

This is my fourth or fifth time working with Mike and his team. When it comes time to obtain a loan or refinance due to lower rates, it never even crosses my mind to go anywhere else. Since the very first time I worked with Mike and his team at Guaranteed Rate, I have been amazed by their efficiency, ability to communicate what they need from you, and commitment to making the process of obtaining a loan as painless as possible. I have always dreaded the process of obtaining a mortgage; no longer. This is a team you can trust and I have only praise for them in the several times I have used them. Words I can think of to describe them: efficient, hard-working, trustworthy, knowledgeable, committed, professional, pleasant, and honest. This is my one and only mortgage company since 2010 and I will continue to turn to them for any mortgage or refinance I may need.

Mike is a true professional and has the best rates - period! Unfortunately, we got to Mike too late for our last home purchase. We sought a quote from him at the last minute to compare the rates from our local broker. His rates were MUCH lower. Additionally, he made the process that had been so stressful with our other broker seam easy. Even though we wanted to work with Mike on that purchase, we were so far into the process with our original lender that we did not make the switch. That decision cost us thousands of dollars. We are now ready to purchase another home. My first call was to Mike. As before, he was responsive, professional and had better rates than anyone. I am so happy to have him working for us. This Is The Place To Go For Your Finance Needs! I have to say Mike and his team are the best. They are very efficient, professional, and quickly respond to any questions you may have. I have had a very pleasurable experience and got my ReFi in less than 30 days, and that included having an issue regarding my current insurance agent (which they have now also helped me find a new and knowledgeable insurance agent to help me with my insurance needs. Yay!), and they still closed in 30 days! Don't waste your time going to your local bank. They will put you through 3 months of paperwork and then no guarantee you will get a loan/ReFi. If you want quick results, Mike and his team are the ones to go to! I highly recommend their services. They are truly the best in the market.

This was my third time refinancing my mortgage with Mike Murgatroy and his team at Guaranteed rate. The first thing that potential customers should understand is that the Murgatroy TEAM is exactly what it should be...a truly integrated TEAM with obvious respect for each other's talents. All of the members work together with a symbiotic relationship that I have not experienced from any company or service organization in my entire adult life. The GR digital mortgage system is set up in such a manner that it leaves very few unanswered questions. Having said that, there were several occasions when I did have questions, and in not one of those occasions did my question go unanswered for more than 24 hours, and in most cases within hours or minutes. Mike would call me from his car on his way home from a long day's work and pull over to look at my file on his laptop. His opening documentation specialist Connie, and his closing doc specialist Monica, are remarkable at what they do. It is amazing how much detailed information they can put out and take in with such precision and in such a relatively short amount of time. As I previously mentioned, this was my third time with Mike and GR. Each time, my mortgage terms got better and better. You will not get a better interest rate (locked In at the very beginning of the process ) anywhere - GUARANTEED! I'm guessing that Mike might not want me to mention this, because they are crazy busy, but in this last refi, I closed in exactly THIRTY days from my initial application...in my home at my kitchen table....unbelievable!

The mortgage went quick and painless. We got a great rate and the provider helped us with any questions we had. They even helped us configure the best way to do the closing so we would not have to bring too much to closing. They are a great team and very helpful.

How did I find: I was looking for mortgage companies and short listed based on the reviews and called all companies and Mike was the one who answered all my questions patiently. Decision: Why this company? After the initial talks/process dude to personal reason I need to postpone buying house (this is our first house). And i did mention to Mike about this and he was kind enough to support me and almost an year later (and YES Mike was in touch the whole time with me regarding the my updates on how is everything is going). And that is what made me to decide to go with Mike. I mean these days who cares if customer may or may not go with your company and still you keep in touch. Finally I was ready to buy house and sent email to Mike and they started the ball rolling and exactly as promised by Mike, we closed in 30 days. And i cannot express the feeling when you close your first house. Loan Process: I'm picky, I did call/email/text Mike and his team until I get the answer I'm looking for and they never disappointed me, NOT EVEN ONCE. And the way they handled was very professional, they do have different departments to handle to stuff and all are great. We can use their online portal to upload documents and look at the progress and that's impressive and I really like the ease. Payments: we can pay online and the setup is breeze. Will i recommend and the answer is YES!!!!, they are awesome/professional and very patient to answer all the questions. This was my second time utilizing Guaranteed Rate because the 1st time went so smoothly. The 2nd time was just as beautiful! Mike and his team are outstanding. We obtained a 30 year fixed rate mortgage with lender paid mortgage insurance and exercised a buydown of the rate. The rate was low and the service/communication were nothing short of outstanding. Both the title company and my realtor commented on how fabulous the communication and level of service was. Loan closed on time with no hiccups. We went back to Mike after our highly positive experience less than two years ago. I feel compelled to update my review because once again, our experience was phenomenal. Mike and his team exceed expectations, and this time around, they demonstrated that every individual client matters to them. We had a home equity line of credit with another bank and Mike went out of his way to work things out so we could still refinance with Guaranteed Rate. They got us an excellent rate, even decreasing it from the initial estimate, because the process took a little longer than expected. We walked away with money in our pockets, and did not have to bring any money to the closing. Wonderful!! Great staff who make it easy to get the work done. They are completely reliable and this is the second time in a year I have used them and they have outdone my expectations. They really make it easy to get a mortgage and refinance. Gave me a timeline and we closed two days earlier than expected.

This is my 6th mortgage with the team and i have never been let down. My wife and I finally found our dream home and in order to compete against cash offers we had to write into the contract quick contingency dates as well as a less than 30 day close. Needless to say the team delivered and Me and my family are in our dream home, 5 acres in south Florida, cant beat that!! Mike and the whole team are top professionals and I will never, ever think of using or referring anyone besides this team.....Oh and my rate is awesome, I know he works for less than most since he helps so many people. This allows him to not only give the best service, but the best rates. I cannot rave enough, thank you thank you thank you. **I put $100 as cost for service but it actually was a negative number as I needed help with the closing costs which are high in FL so I raised the rate .125 and got a huge lender credit towards my closing costs - another great strategy that the Team employs when needed.

We had a short sale 3 years ago and I was looking for information on when I could apply for a new mortgage. Anyone that has experiences with banks knows that if you need your questions answered after hours and on weekends your out of luck. This is where Mike with Guaranteed Rate excelled. Even though we are based in VA and the company is based in Florida, the process for securing the refinance was seamless and very easy. Their service and rates actually beat out USAA. As a veteran I can honestly say I was honestly shocked how much better this lender was than USAA at the time. I will keep my review updated as I continue to work with them as I pay my mortgage.
