Mike Murgatroy and his team were a pleasure to work with, they are the best! The whole process went smoothly and the entire team was immediately on top of every detail and have a great streamlining process in place to make everything flow easily. I highly recommend Mike and his team.

I never thought i'd be writing a review about a freaking loan company, but I have to say, I'm impressed. We shopped around for a while to find the best rate, but learned quickly that all mortgage companies have basically the same rates. Another mortgage agent explained that to me, but then offered a higher rate than quoted at other companies. I ended up going with Mike because I didn't feel like I was battling against him to get a good rate. He offered credits to help lower closing costs, and explained every step of the process in normal people terms (learned from the others that I DONT SPEAK MORTGAGE LANGUAGE) Mike seemed to be the only one who understood that. There is a bunch of people on his team, and they all seem to care about what they are doing, and were very kind through the whole process. We did run into a few small issues, but they were hashed out within 24 hours. My appraisal came in like 8,000 dollars low, and they actually helped me get the price of the house lowered, which was the inspiration for a whole bunch of enthusiastic fist pumps. really satisfied, 10/10

Although we are not moving forward at this time, Mike Murgatroy was a delight to work with. I never once had to pick up the phone to check on the status of our request as he was quick to contact me to keep me up to date on everything. I had a feeling of complete trust and would definitely contact them again and recommend their services to others. He also gave us valuable advise moving forward. I hadn't spoken to Mike in maybe ten years, as my wife and I hadn't had any mortgage needs for quite some time. In August I called Mike to see if he could help my two children through the process of getting pre-qualified for a mortgage and then eventually to help them acquire a condo. Mike was ready willing and able to help them through the process, and with his guidance and the help of his talented team, helped two twenty something's qualify and obtain a mortgage on their first real estate acquisition. As a dad, I wanted to help, but I was also interested in getting out of the way and letting my kids do the work. Mike has a great online portal that allows uploading of documents, and between email and phone calls, his team assisted my kids through the process without any issues. Mike Murgatroy and Guaranteed Rate Mortgage provide excellent customer service, in an honest and professional manner. I have no hesitations in recommending Mike and his team to anyone looking for mortgage assistance.

Overall the experience was excellent. Mike is very professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with. He guided us through the process with ease, helped us understand our various options and finalized the loan in a timely manner.

Mike and his team far exceeded my expectations in getting my refinance completed. Mike and his staff/colleagues were very efficient, professional and flexible to meet my needs. In the end the property did not appraise well enough to qualify (investment property), but the process was smooth and very well done through the appraisal stage, which we paid for.

Mike and his team are the best! This is the third loan I've done through them and I will come back to them for the next one. Each time Mike starts with understanding my financial situation and goals and then we determine which loan makes the most sense for me. Each time he's had some great insights and tailored solutions. And the lowest rate. After we determined the right loan, the rest of the process just runs smoothly. I'm sure having consistency on his team is a factor in that - the same people who did a great job on my loan 2-3 years ago did a great job with this one. Very happy - Again!

My closing went right as planned. They all worked so diligently to close at the appropriate time.

PRO: It was my second time using them. Great customer service and great people. Had the best rate from them. Very helpful. CON: Not a big deal but I live on the west coast and their offices are on the East Coast.

The process was very easy and the team done an exceptional job for me. No issues and no bait and switching. Don't go to the online mortgage companies that give you great rates and then bait and switch the numbers and try to sell you something you don't want. I trusted Mike and the team to deliver what I asked for, and they performed for me, no hassles. They did not try to change my mind, but they would inform me of other options that may be a better fit for my situation. Don't waste your time with other companies, just call Mike. I don't trust a lot of people with my finances, Mike and his team, well, they are the exception.

I don't even know where to start. Mike and his team helped me get a loan after being turned down by three previous lenders. Mike and his team always, always maintained highly professional customer service. They also found the best financing for my clients...not like the typical mortgage solutions you get from one of the "big box" banks. The closing costs were less than what I see from other lenders and the rate was better too. Mike thoroughly knows the mortgage lending business and I will always recommend him to my friends and clients.

Mike and his team at GuarenteeRate were phenomenal. I wanted to sell earlier but Mike insisted not to. We waited, got my credit scores up and at the right time my wife and I sold and bought another house. All the patience and Mike's care doing was incredible. He was in too big of a hurry for me. I think he has too much on his plate, he doesn't really have that much time to devote to anybody but I think he could have been good if he didn't have so much to do. Very rushed.

It went well. We were able to lower our rate and save on our insurance. Mike helped me get a lower monthly payment and cash back.

Second refinance with this company. They are extremely professional, responsive and do their best to expedite the process and make it as painless as possible.. All staff that I was in contact with (whether by phone, text, or email) were exceptionally helpful and patient with all concerns and queries.

I have to say that in years past I cringed at the thought of applying for a refinance but since finding Mike and his team the amount of time and effort on my part has dropped substantially. Mike's team has managed to refi my home twice in record time with everything done on line. Mike's team finds the appraisers, the notary who then comes to my location and they kept in touch via email and the on line workspace they have to upload my paychecks, insurance etc. made it a breeze.

I had a great experience with him. A very honest company and it was a better experience than what I had expected. I would definitely recommend them for refinancing.
