Mike and his team were amazing!!! We were under a tight deadline after a fallout with another mortgage broker who was trying to take advantage of us. Mike personally called me and assured me everything would be fine and done by contract deadlines. Within two weeks, Mike had an appraisal done and a mortgage approved. There are not enough words to describe how great this team is. I recommend them to everyone I know and would use them again if we ever move.

Great. I contacted Mike Murgatroy and his team at least 4 times when looking for a new home and refinancing existing mortgages when the rates dropped. He always had very competitive rates. He and his team were very, very knowledgeable and explained all parts of the mortgage rate, quickly processed the loan pre-qualification letter, explained all the paper work required and most importantly worked very hard to get us the lowest mortgage rate at the lowest cost to us. Even when he couldn't beat a subsized loan by my employer, he told me so and recommended that I go for the better deal for myself. He and his team are very honest. I've since recommended him to my friends and family any time someone asks. I would recommend his team to you also. You have nothing to lose and tens of thousands of dollars to gain.

Everything was delivered as expected. Transition through the phases were seamless. Fantastic team work! Getting my documentation loaded to the internet was very easy. Understanding where I was in the process was easy as well. Happy with the rate which was actually less than original quote! Closed in about 4 weeks form time of application. Very responsive to calls and emails. Could not have asked for anything more!

Very responsive and quick to get back to me with answers to any question. Detail oriented and very professional. I like that they brainstorm to find the best solution for what you're trying to accomplish. The pre-approval process is very quick and the closing process is seamless. Their rates are great, consistently the best I find. I enjoy working with this team and pretty much refer them to everyone that wants to have a positive experience.

What started off to be a new home purchase, needing lots of money down, turned out to be a refinance of the home. The house was part of a divorce and to me seemed complicated. After speaking with the team at Mike Murgatroy office with Guaranteed Rate Mortgage they quickly steered me in the right direction. I thought I was going to have to come up with nearly 17,000 for closing to buy the home from my X-husband. After a brief phone call with Peter, he seemed to have a very clear understanding of my needs and situation. Peter informed me I could refinance the home, hardly having to come up with any money towards closing. With the help from Connie Barnwell ( she was GREAT) really made what could have been an impossible stressful transaction, into a very pleasant smooth sailing one! Mike Murgatroy and his team are the BEST. They are very efficient, they do not make mistakes, and all details are accounted for---there are no surprises and transactions run smoothly. Mike is honest and up front with you; if he thinks something is not in your best interest, or if he thinks you should explore other options for a transaction, he will tell you, even if it means losing business for himself. Because Mike has always known that it's not in his best interest to do anything for you that's not going to be good move for you as well. We (my husband and I) have worked with Mike several times over the past 17 years and have recommended him to many friends for mortgages on residential property purchases, home equity loans, and residential mortgage refinancing. Our friends have had nothing but good things to say about Mike and he exceeded their expectations, and we echo those comments and feelings 100%. Mike and his team are very well organized. All of the steps of the process of laid out in front of you, one by one, leaving no guess work as to what you have to do next, but if you have questions along the way they are extremely responsive. I also want to iterate that we have seen first-hand the difference between Mike and other similar service providers. When we recently sold an investment property, the buyer was a friend of ours who did not have anyone to assist with her mortgage. We recommended Mike to her, but she ultimately decided to not contact Mike and went a different way. Due to the incompetence of the company used by the buyer, it ended up being such an unpleasant transaction and unnecessarily so---we as the seller were friends with the buyer, there were no squabbles about the price or the property, etc., so it should have been a very easy transaction. But it was a completely disorganized mess -- meetings kept being rescheduled, the "contact person" kept changing, the office's staff wasn't all on the same page, and there was so much unnecessary confusion due to lack of organization, lack of attention to detail, and lack of professionalism, the funding amount for the closing ended up being incorrect (and not in our favor--we were underpaid and it wasn't corrected for almost two weeks)! Property transactions can be stressful enough - our friend (the buyer) felt terrible about the whole thing, and my husband and I didn't blame her but we did keep saying to each other, "this never would have happened if Mike had handled the buyer's mortgage!" So, if you're looking to buy a property, or curious about refinancing, I urge you to give Mike a call and avoid the unnecessary headaches other mortgage companies (or lack of a mortgage company) can bring. Again, we've worked with him several times during the past 17 years with ZERO complaints---nothing but praise!

The team at Guaranteed Rate are the most helpful and professional financial experts that I have dealt with, when acquiring a home mortgage. This team of mortgage professionals are personable and engaging, providing assistance throughout the entire process, to ensure a great experience. Their intelligent and logical online portal, allows the mortgage process to move quickly and alleviates much of the confusion and delays that tend to be common during the mortgage refinance experience. The Guaranteed Rate team is diligent and supportive through the entire process, even finding and applying a lower interest rate, than originally proposed at approval. I have never seen this level of service in my 30+ years of real estate financing. I highly recommend Guaranteed Rate as the first source to speak with, when looking for a mortgage.
