I own a vintage Victorian home with numerous rotten wood-window sills & other components. Repair-work of this nature typically requires tedious custom cut-&-fit work that must be performed by a craftsman that has both keen-creativity and a unique skill-set. I have a very high work-standard and expect quality work for reasonable rates. During my research to find a qualified craftsman to accomplish this daunting task... I noticed several great comments regarding Nate with Pioneer Maintenance & Repair on forums such as Angie's List, Yelp, etc. After my initial meeting and in-depth discussion with Nate, I knew I had found the right contractor. Since then he has diligently worked two solid weeks on my job, and the results are extremely impressive. Throughout the entire job which was finished today... I found Nate to be very professional, punctual, courteous, highly-skilled, safe, creative, fair & honest. Although he meticulously plans his own work to be done...He genuinely listens to the client and does not hesitate to readily incorporate other suggestions. He is clearly focused on producing an end result that will please the client... And you will not be disappointed. He always keeps a neat and organized work-environment and never fails to thoroughly clean-up the job-site everyday. The myriad of technical-tools in his arsenal teamed with his highly diverse skill-set enable him to perform a wide range of tasks from heavy-demolition all the way up to intricate finish-work. The work that Nate did was very professional and he was always on time and a pleasure to work with. The sliding glass doors too about two days to complete. After the doors were installed Nate finished off the inside trim work. My wife and are are very pleased with the work performed by Nate. Nate is a perfectionist and made sure every project on my list was performed not only to my 100% satisfaction but also to his. He is a problem solver and can figure out ways to make things work when I myself was ready to give up. He is also very professional and showed up on time and is very organized. I have other "to do's" on my list and Nate is my new go to person for these jobs.

Nate is incredibly detailed. Prior to beginning the project, Nate visited our house three times to get measurements, pictures and understand what we were needing. After researching and consulting others, he came up with the best solution possible for all of our problems. Nate kept me informed of the major decisions that needed to be made and updated me on progress. He also gave us pointers and looked around the exterior of our house to point out potential areas that, if not maintained now, might need work down the road. I appreciate the fact he was helping to educate us so we can do some small repair work on our own. We will definitely use Nate again and do recommend to anyone needing some home repair.

Nate is very pleasant, knowledgeable, quite skilled at homeowner related tasks, and really dependable. He came to give an estimate for the work and was honest about what needed to be done and his availability, although was able to schedule my to-do list fairly quickly. Nate does such great quality workmanship that I would highly recommend him as your 'handyman', he surely will be my first call when there's any new to-do's or projects around the house. He even kindly did a couple of little things not on my list that he noticed needed to be done. It is such a wonderful feeling to have thrown away that to-do list, have my house looking great and especially, to finally know a handyman that is as talented and personable as Nate!

Nate was punctual and came by to see what needed to be purchased before beginning work. My storm door has been a problem because a replacement sweep is not available. Nate researched and figured out a way to do it. He also purchased a replacement sliding door that was discounted, after asking me to approve that. He was very careful to try and save me money in all that was done; even to the point of talking me out of some of the more expensive options I had planned. :) I'm a lady who lives alone and I felt very comfortable having Nate in my home. He's friendly and easy-going and I plan to hire him again. I only had one problem with the quality of his work; he wasn't able to get the screens as taut as the originals. I believe this is because it's such an old door and difficult to work with so I didn't mark him down for that.

I had called Nate prior to my arrival in Florida about concerns I had about a house I had inherited. I told him I did not know what to expect and he confidently told me he could handle anything. It really just at started as getting the kitchen ready for new appliances by removing an old dishwasher that was tiled in. I had no idea it would explode into a mutual comaradarie between me, a man who knows little about fixing things, and an true expert! Nate is truly a man who can do anything and the house would not be done without his assistance. Even when I wanted him to do something else, he insisted on doing things the right way and would explain to me why they needed to be done. This happened on several occasions, but each time he was right and I needed to learn just to listen to him! Nate also gives great advice on remodeling, for example, we could not decide on the type of tile to install and Nate came in and looked at the samples and picked a tile and he told me why he thought that tile would word better throughout the house! I went with his choice and am sure I made the right decision. He also is great at testing things after installation. After it was determined I needed a garage door opener, he tested it to make sure it would stop if something was underneath it. If you have anything from electrical, to baseboard installation, to painting, hanging ceiling fans, plumbing...Nate is your man. He even took a tremendously ugly florida room ceiling and trimmed it out so it was absolutely beautiful! There are not enough words to express my appreciation that I found Nate because at this point I do not know how I would live without his help, expertise, and what developed into a friendship. Just last week as they were installing countertops very late in the day Nate took pity on me and stayed so he could install a sink so I had at least one to use. He must have been there until 730 just so I was comfortable! He is amazing!

Nate was very accommodating and responsive from our first inquiry and throughout this minor handyman project. He engineered a great solution to permanently mount this mailbox with post in ground with cement.

He did two jobs and was very responsive and considerate. He gave me options, discussed the job and made recommendations. He's just what I needed at a stressful time. The price was reasonable. Both of these jobs he did on short notice and I appreciate that.

We started the work of replacing 2 bathroom sinks and faucets. Everything was going well except reconnecting the water supply lines and valves. Nate came out on a Sunday with 1 day notice. He was so kind letting us know that he would not have to rework any of our efforts. He completed the work that afternoon. Nate is professional and thorough in his work At the time we were in a hurry to catch a flight, and paid Nate's estimate. Afterwards, he let us know that the actual cost was less than the estimate, and he is willing to apply that credit to the next job. We do not know the amount of the credit.

We'll be having Nate back for more help. He was prompt, contacting me the same day of my request. Three days later and my first requests are complete. He cleaned the drier vent and replaced some screens. When he came to give us the initial bid we also asked him to clean the gutters. He did this, as well, and kindly added a bonus of pressure washing some of the patio pavers. We already asked him back for more work!!!

Nate was on time, professional and the quality of his workmanship commendable. He comes prepared, has all the tools needed to complete the job and when he leaves you would never know he was there. We live on the beach and the fans were over 30 years old, it was not an easy task but they have been installed properly and will hopefully last another 30 years. Mr Hoover did a superior job on all my projects. While working on the umbrella he went beyond what I asked and fixed a part on the umbrella that prevented it from going up and down. Mr Hoover will be coming back to put in a bathroom vanity and a front door. While looking at the vanity he saw a few problems involving tile and back splash Within a few minutes Mr Hoover came up with a beautiful solution. We will be using Mr. Hoover for all future needs.
