Nate Hoover repaired some damaged and rotted wood on my 1940s home and did an outstanding job. As with any old house it has it's challenges. Nate's creativity and attention to detail allowed him to improvise and come up with the perfect fix and fit! I highly recommend Nate and Pioneer Maintenance.

Cleaning metal roofing was not within their experience. Suggested I call a roofer for the corking.

Nate did a wonderful job of planning and showing us how the kitchen would be in the plans. He walked us through the ordering of the material and told me what would be happening at each stage of the project. The work is top notch and the kitchen is great. Created a better functioning kitchen, with additional storage and work space. The design is just what we wanted, I couldn't be happier.

Are you kidding me?!? Nate is the real deal. He is a true professional and I'm so happy I was able to find him on Angies list. I originally contacted Nate for a shower door replacement project. Not only are his prices fair, but he was able to get this door installed better than the original builders. By no means was this an easy repair, but our relationship had to start somewhere. Beyond this, his company was able to help me with simple caulking jobs to extensive paint jobs, even turn a house around that needed some serious help. All of the jobs they have done for us thus far are exceptional including the paint on the exterior of the house. I would hire this company in a heartbeat for any future needs and recommend them to anyone. They are trustworthy, do a fantastic job, and SHOW UP ON TIME! Please don't keep him too busy - I still need him for work around my house!

Nate Hoover is a real pro. He did what he said he would do and he did it when he said he would do it. He also was very professional in handling all the little issues that came up during the project and the results of his work were first rate. His prices were excellent and he proved himself to be a person of considerable integrity. I couldn't have been happier with the entire experience and I am already planning to hire him again for additional projects. On top of all that, he's also just a really good guy who cares a lot about his work and his clients.

Highly recommend! Nate is professional, kind, and really cares about doing the job right. My mom called Nate for a few odd jobs- replacing a vanity cabinet, fixing a cabinet, painting a wall, etc. He promptly returned her call and fit her into his busy schedule. He offered great suggestions for each project to make sure she'd love the end result and cared about her input and satisfaction along the way, even bringing samples of moldings for her to choose from. When we encountered a plumbing issue that could have escalated into a serious problem, he referred her to another fair and honest professional who was able to come out that day to resolve the issue. Can not say enough about how great this experience was. Would absolutely recommend!

Nate performed the work as agreed. He is very professional, arrives on time, takes his time to explain everything and is willing to try new things. He executes the tasks perfectly. We are extremely pleased with his services and will be calling him again to do more projects. You cannot go wrong with him. He is the BEST! I highly recommend him.

My elderly father needed someone to come and cut a bolt off his very old toilet s at! Nate was very kind to my dad and helpful. We will be using this company again!

I am very please with the outcome of all of the work. Nate is very professional and responsive. He pays close attention to detail and the aesthetics of the finished product. There were some areas that needed a bit of innovation. These included, but are were not limited to matching vintage tile work, modifying a medicine cabinet to fit, and making a ceiling repair look seamless. Nate and his helper Michael rose to each challenge, and the results were quite good.

We called Nate to ask for an estimate to complete all these "projects". He promptly responded by coming to our home to give us an estimate. Nate was very professional and told us upfront that because we live slightly out of his service area and due to the nature of the repairs needed (drying of drywall), contracting with him would not be cost effective. Also for the drip edge repair, he did not have the equipment to effectively and safely complete the project. It is so refreshing to encounter a person in the handyman business who cares more about meeting the customer's needs versus making a buck. He is very professional and knowledgeable about home repair and if circumstances were different; i.e. location and nature of the job, we would not hesitate to contract with him..

His company certainly deserves its top-of-the-list rating; from start to finish, Nate delivered on his promises -- and then some. Having left a phone message requesting an estimate for several perceived repair jobs, I soon received a call back for a timely appointment. Although much in demand, Nate made the time to come to the house sooner than promised and gave me honest assessments of what was needed, as well as what was not needed, to be done. He was very personable and answered my questions in detail and without rushing the interview. Very impressed with his candor, his knowledge, and (compared to others I had spoken with) his conservative estimates, I hired him on the spot. Despite the fact that it turned out I needed only one repair job (other repairmen had indicated they required a certain minimum amount), Nate set up a return appointment and once again managed to obtain the necessary materials and to fit me into his schedule sooner than anticipated. The day of the repair Nate called to say his previous job was finished early and that he could come right over if it was convenient for me. It was! As soon as he arrived, Nate cleverly created a most satisfactory match and repair of the lower section of a rotted old door frame. He also was observant enough to discern a part of the weatherstripping that seriously needed to be replaced and handily took care of it. By the end of the job, I had remembered a concern I had had with the length of time my dryer vent had gone without inspection and cleaning. I asked Nate if he might be able to check that for me and, although it was getting late in the day, not only was he able to do it, he had the tools in his truck, and was willing to do the job right then and there. As it turned out, although needed, the build up in the vent was much less than anticipated and Nate adjusted the cost of the job accordingly. Suffice it to say that my experience with Nate was entirely positive in all respects and that I look forward to working with him in the future. Nate has my highest recommendation. Repair was done quickly, accurately and at a fair price. Nate and Harold are both timely, polite and efficient. We will definitely hire them in the future for all of our home repairs.

Excellent! Nate was prompt to respond to my initial request. I was thrilled when he worked me into his already booked schedule helping his clients prepare for the hurricane. Excellent communication scheduling putting the wood up and flexible with me in my indecisiveness about when to take the wood down. Did a great job, did not waste time, and even labeled each piece of wood for future installs. Knowledgeable, courteous and easy to talk with. Will be contacting Nate for future handyman projects.

Nate was punctual, courteous, hard working, and fair with pricing. He removed the old mailbox, put in a new one complete with cement block to anchor it. It was perfectly straight and looks professionally done. He removed our old shower doors, removed screws and old caulk. He left it looking great. We put up a shower curtain, and the bathroom got a facelift!

The entry was a disaster. I even told the previous handyman to just leave it alone. There was drywall dust over everything! Nate came up with a clever solution that involved no drywall work. He is a hard worker! I love the entry and am so happy it's completed. Nate also covered everything near the work area with plastic and used a vacuum sander in smoothing out rough compound. Cleaned up every piece of dust when done. I discussed other projects with him which, hopefully, he'll be able to fit in here and there when he finishes up early at another job. He stays busy! I am delighted to have found someone who actually comes and who is such a pro. Price very reasonable as well. Win-Win all around.

Excellent. Nate spent time in the attic getting the new fans to fit into the odd shape between the rafters. He did an excellent job working in difficult spaces and getting the fans installed with new larger duct work. He was on time and very professional. The fans work great and are much quieter than the originals. They also move much more air making fog on the mirrors a thing of the past. He also fixed a drain in my wife's bathroom sink that had been broken for over a year. He finished that work in record time and it looks better than the original. It took about 6 hours for all the work (most of the day). There is no way I could have done it in that amount of time. It required a lot of custom fitting all of which was in a attic in hot Florida. In the attached photo the old casing is on the left and is bent up from my trying to pry it out before he arrived. The fan on the right is the replacement fan. It required a completely different fit in the ceiling and the rafters.

I talked to Nate. IDK - I got the sense he just didn't want to do it. He said he can't compete with irrigation companies and does not tend to come out just for that. Sounds like you have more business than you need when you say things like that. He also said he didn't like messing with anything affiliated with gas because what if the house explodes and he is liable. Okay - guess I can understand that, but IDK - seems kinda like a weak argument for just attempting to clean two components, but I'm no expert. Third, securing the board on the deck. Kinda seemed like he didn't like the idea of going under the deck to secure this one board and I guess I can understand, but again, aren't you a handyman? Geez.

Excellent work, prompt, professional, fair prices, very cheerful attitude, had suggestions and solutions for vertical blinds that needed trimming and adjusting.
