The gentleman on the phone was very nice and accommodating of our emergency. Our tenants informed us that they could not open the garage door ergo the emergency. I arrived at the property ten minutes late and the technician made it very clear that he was extremely annoyed despite my profuse apologies. I was not informed beforehand that they were downgrading my two spring system to a single spring system when they gave me a quote on the phone but by the time they got there, there was nothing I could do. A single spring system is inferior for two reasons: first, it applies different torque to the two ends of the shaft, and second, there is no redundancy so when it eventually breaks it will be much more dangerous and uncontrollable. Let me add that I am a master transmission mechanic so I can speak to such things. What I much more took issue with, however, was that the technician arrived with a full load of metal scrap on a trailer, obviously on his way to cash in a load. When he completed the project I told him I wanted to keep my old springs. He told me he could not "allow" it because "I might hurt myself." Really? I reminded him that they were my property but he insisted that somehow, they were not. That is completely false. As they weighed around 30 pounds of spring steel, I know it would help his bottom line. However, it was extremely unethical at the very least, and spoke to a larger issue. I will not use this company for any future garage door needs at any of our other rentals.

They were fast, helpful, and very professional.

First they were cutting down other companies, talking about how bad they were,which I don't particularly like. When he called me back, he told me he wasn't able to get any of his helpers, and told me he wouldn't be wearing a uniform. He and his family were on the way to Orlando, and they were stopped over to install my garage door. He had a very drill sergeant kind of voice, and told me I need to remove everything from the garage. I explained I have a lot of very heavy exercise equipment, and it might be difficult. He kept repeating it to me. He said "If I go in there and I see one thing in that garage, I won't do it." I said, "Well, I'll do it. It'll be hard, but I'll do it." When I asked him why he was talking like this. He said, "You know what?" And then he hung up. I had the impression he didn't want to do the job in the first place.

Joe showed up on time, did a great job at installing the new one, taking away the old one and cleaned after himself. He started on time, finished within the timeline he had told us and overall was very pleasant to work with. Would absolutely hire him again.

Fantastic. It isn't often that you find a vendor who is the economical choice and also does quality work, but Joe is the real deal. He's earned my business for good. He is honest, doesn't try to sell more than you need, gets you on the schedule, and gets the job done. All for a price that's lower than the competitor.

They repaired it as advertised. They even showed me that our rollers were wearing out and I agreed they should be replaced. The spring replacement coupon ($180) plus spring replacement ($60) was done in about 40 minutes of time. Super knowledgeable, super friendly and trustworthy. You can tell they've been doing this for awhile.

Joe arrived within 4 hours of my phone call. The large spring was broken and I could not raise the door, so I could not drive my car. He recommend that I cover my car with a blanket for protection. He replaced the spring coil, lubricated the unit, fixed the broken cable, and reset our garage door openers. This is actually the second time A Plus has come to our house. They replaced a garage door opener unit in our workshop in 2012. Yes, I would recommend them.

They thought they could walk me thru it over he phone and save me the $80 service call ... and they did!

The arm that attaches to the garage door to lift it had completely pulled loose late in the afternoon on 12/11/14. I called A Plus and a gentleman was at my home within the hour. He explained what was needed and completed the job. He was both experienced and professional. Their name says it all "A PLUS"! I would certainly call them again
