I was told by another company that I needed $500 + in replacement parts / repairs done. I am so glad I decided to call A Plus for a second opinion. Joe arrived within the time frame he said, he was professional and knowledgeable. I told him what the other company said and he told me it would take him 15 minutes and the cost of the service call. He said all that needed to be done was the door/tracks needed to be lubricated. Joe saved me $100's of dollars on something another company was trying to scam me on. We had the pleasure of dealing with Tom Pennea one of the owners from start to finish. Tom and his crew did garage doors for us and they were professional, very knowledgeable, and Tom was good at trouble shooting a challenging bungalow property with low overhang. We are very satisfied with the excellent workmanship Tom and A-Plus Garage Door Service team performed for us. Their pricing was far below a popular local competitor's bid with better quality parts, paint and warranty. We did a lot of research and discovered that A Plus Garage Door Services was also Veteran owned and operated.

Our original garage door springs failed, leaving the door stuck in the up position. I called and they were able to come out the next morning. The garage door springs were proprietary, and needed to be swapped for a spring conversion kit. They were able to take care of us the next morning at 8 a.m., and completed the work in a professional manner.

Our door opener broke down over a holiday weekend (naturally!) and Joe was very busy but he worked us into his schedule. He was here when he said he would be, assessed the problem, found a broken part and replaced it. In addition he adjusted everything and oiled all the moving parts plus the garage door springs. As he worked, he explained everything he was doing. He was very thorough. He is also very professional and personable. His number is permanently in our book incase we need further work. And if we ever need a new door opener we will definitely purchase it from him.

Joe was great, he was very knowledgable about what the source of the problem was and very quick in fixing everything. The prices are also great, I will always call him in the future if I have anymore problems.

It was immediately clear that Joe knew the existing system, provided information on new systems and the option to purchase our own since we had discount opportunities. Joe was prompt, efficient, extremely knowledgeable, competitive and ensured we understood the new system before he left. If any advertising can emphasize it is a locally owned business in which you can talk and work directly with the owner, it might help others realize that many other providers are just lining up the business through national call centers.

Very well done in a very short period of time. Not only did he provide the service requested but the tech also adjusted the garage lift springs and the opener chain. Finished by lubricating all the door hinges. A great job well worth the money. I highly recommend their services.

This is our second experience with this company, and they exceeded our expectations both times. Joe isn't the typical repair guy. He's a craftsman. He repaired both garage doors in record time, checked them for spring and other issues including the sensors and the like, and painstakingly set the doors to open an close perfectly. He showed up on time the first time, and he called and asked if he could show up a day early the second time. His work is clean and thorough, and he is a true professional. Other vendors tried to sell new openers to us when I inquired by phone. Thankfully, we located Joe through Angie's list, and he replaced both belts for a fraction of the cost of a new opener. We wholeheartedly recommend this company!

We called A+ after our garage door spring broke and scheduled them to come out because our normal garage guy was on vacation. We'd already been quoted prices from another "big name" company that were over $100 more than what A+ quoted over the phone. That other company also tried to upsell us on a bunch of other items for a door that's just past 10 years old and already has some upgrades done (belt drive opener, nylon rollers). .A+ was able to come out the next day and arrived right on-time. After a quick inspection and explaining to me what he'd be doing, he got right to work. He even took the time afterwards to show me a few tips and explain what maintenance I could do to prolong the life of the door system. I explained to him what the other company had told me and after he looked over the door he said that the "upgrades" they were trying to sell weren't warranted on our door at this time. He didn't try to upsell me by providing inaccurate information or telling us we could convert to a "superior" product for just a couple dollars more. Overall, he was prompt, professional, efficient and we'd have no reservations about calling A+ again should we need any further garage door work done.
