Reliable Power Systems

Very unreliable. Made on 11/21 for 11/22. They called on 11/22 and informed me they could not make it so would I mine if they rescheduled for 11/27 in the morning. I agreed so long as I was the first appointment. On Tuesday, I did not receive a confirmation call. I called on Wednesday at 10 am to find out when the electrician was coming. Once they talked to dispatch, they confirmed that they could not make it and wanted to reschedule for Tuesday December 3rd. I declined. Twice I stayed home for them. From my experience, meeting commitments is not a top priority for this company.

Took a long time but this was explained to us when ordered. Company kept us well informed on the progress and made sure we were operational before a hurricane.

Everything went great. Very professional company and great staff. I truly feel that they were the right professionals for the job. Punctual and did not rush to get to the next customer. They really took the time to explain everything they did and how to work the Generator. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to install a generator!

We had an amazing experience all the way from the sales call up to and following the actual install. Personnel were professional and very knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable throughout the whole process.

They showed up after 5 pm and then did not want to work and looked for an excuse to leave. Battery was dead which was part of the call but they refused to look at it there, he said he had to come back and charge a 175 charge to determine why it was not charging. I told them just order the new charger and they did not want to. With some pushing they gave me a price of over 700 for the charger and labor. I bought it the next day for 340 USD and it took less than 10 minutes to install. Do not use this company!!!

My wife and I have discussed over the past year installing a back-up whole-house generator to address any hurricane (or other) power outages. A few weeks ago I contacted several companies to obtain a quote. On July 30th I had an appointment with Reliable to obtain an estimate. Chris, the estimator, was very professional and thorough. He asked a number of questions that gave me confidence that he truly knew what he was doing, and that I could have confidence in his company's services. He gave me an estimate right then and there that was highly competitive with the other quotes I received. On August 2nd I received the following e-mail from Reliable: Good morning Mr. Schneider, This is Reliable Power Systems, the generator company. I'm following up regarding the generator proposal that you received from our estimator, Chris Garcia. We are currently having an amazing flash sale!! In addition to any other promotional discounts already included in your proposal, we're reducing our prices by an ADDITIONAL 10% for generator proposals signed before 5 pm on Wednesday, August 7th, 2019. So if you think you'd still like to pursue this project, I'd suggest moving forward right away if the timing makes sense for you. I hope all is well with you and I hope to hear from you! Sincerely, Tekissia English Customer Service Representative A: 3400 SW 10th Street Deerfield, FL, 33442 T: 561.362.4484 | F: 561.362.4485 | Sounded too good to be true -- I would receive 10% off the quote I was given -- with no strings attached. Nowhere in the e-mail did it say that this offer had "restrictions, or fine print, or could not be combined with other offers, etc, etc." So I called Ms. English and said I would like to take advantage of the "amazing flash sale." I then asked if Reliable had financing available -- for those not familiar with adding a home generator, it can be the price of a sub-compact car. She said they did, through Synchrony. I told her I already had an account through Synchrony and would finance with them. She then said to me "If you do that, the discount is only 5%, not 10%." She then told me what the specific final costs would be for the 5% and 10% discount. I thanked her for the information, and discussed it with my wife. What I told my wife is that I felt this was a subtle" bait and switch" tactic by Reliable. As you read, no where in the email did Ms. English note that there were "qualifiers" to the offer. I then called Ms. English back after the weekend on Monday, August 5 and told her that I was willing to accept the e-mail offer ONLY at the 10% level, and that I was willing to put down a significant cash down payment, and finance the rest. She told me that she would have to speak to her Sales Manager, and would call me when she had done so. On Tuesday August 6 I received a call from Ms. English. She told me that she had spoken with her Sales Manager, and that "in light of the substantial discounts you have already received, that they could only offer me a 5% discount." I told her that "if you re-read your e-mail to me it CLEARLY says 'In addition to any other promotional discounts already included in your proposal, we're reducing our prices by an ADDITIONAL 10%'". I then asked for the Sales Manager --- his name is Steve Zeranti --, to please call me on Wednesday, August 7 so that if we were able to come to an agreement, I would be able to meet the 5pm deadline. Steve did not call me back on the 7th. He did leave 2 messages over the weekend (August 9 & 12) asking me to call him (I was out of state at the time). I called him on August 14 --the outcome of our conversation was the same as noted above. He told me that he had presented my case to the owner of the company, and the owner told him that because I was financing a portion of the total cost they could not honor the terms of the offer in Ms. English's e-mail. I thanked him for the call and politely hung up. Again, I strongly recommend that in light of what happened to me -- a company making an offer and then refusing to abide by the terms of its own offering -- you consider other generator companies if you are looking to make such a purchase. I will be reporting what occurred to me to Angie's List, Home Advisor, and our local Better Business Bureau. When a company fails to live up to its OWN sales proposition it is time to steer as far away from them as possible. Reliable was unwilling to honor its own agreement. In light of what occurred to me I strongly recommend you think long and hard about entering into any type of agreement with them.

We had several companies come out to give us quotes on a whole house generator system. After narrowing it down to Reliable and one other one as the most professional, we choice Reliable even though they were a little more expensive. I just got a better feeling from them than the other one. Turns out I made a great choice. Reliable did an amazing job in installing my generator and Propane Tank and everything went perfectly. I can be a challenging customer and they were very accomodating and understanding of all my questions and input throughout the process. I was very impressed when they were able to get my propane tank installed, inspected and filled back in all in a single day. Couple of small glitches with the permitting process, but that is not unexpected with a project like this. They obviously had great relationships with the inspectors which shows that they always do good work. I was very impressed with their workmanship and professionalism throughout the process. I fully expected my whole back yard to be a disaster and need to be resodded, but their equipment operators were so good the only sod I had to replace was over the hole that was dug for the propane tank. I can truly recommend Reliable with no reservations! Posting this review has been on my list for several months so unfortunately I can't remember all the names of the guys that worked on my project, but I am certain all of their crews are of the same caliber!

Reliable installed our in-ground generator. Their service was the absolute best!

This company goes under two names which is shady. Reliable aka sun electric works is anything but reliable they are very unprofessional and a full on waste of your time and energy. Don't give these people your money. Call someone else who actually cares to do their job.

Highly recommend Reliable Power Systems. They have an awesome crew, well co-ordinated, polite & professional. From start to finish it was a smooth & pleasant experience!

Generator was serviced last July to replace the ends of the battery cables. Service went well. Battery eventually went dead. Called in November and the tech came over because of the dead battery. It was diagnosed as loose battery cables. Asked if loose cables could cause the battery to die. I was told yes. The generator had not been touched since July. I paid the diagnostic fee but later realized why should have I had to pay the diagnostic fee. Reliable called, the next day, to see how things went. I explained what had transpired and the lady said she would email a manager. Friday came and I heard nothing. Called Friday and briefly explained the situation and was told that the manager was in and out of meetings and if he couldn't get back by the end of the day, that the manager would get back by the end of Monday. Heard nothing. Called the next week to see if I could get a copy of my email receipt, since I accidentally deleted the original email. Received nothing. Since then, the generator has killed 3 batteries. Each of which lasted less than a month. Called the credit card company and disputed the charge. Charge refunded. Not only did Reliable not respond to the disputed charge, they didn't respond to the charge back.

From the initial meeting with a sales rep. from Reliable, it was a joy. I got 4 estimates of which 2 did not send back. Reliable has been incredible. Thru the whole process this company was on the ball. They take care of permitting, and their teams that came out were clean, efficient, and from start to finish it took 2 weeks. It would have taken less, but the city held up inspections. I want to thank Ashley, Scott, Winston, Jermaine, and all the other departments for making this job so smooth. I highly recommend this company.

Had no power in master bedroom. They responded quickly, worked around my schedule and were very professional.

Fantastastic due to Frank LoForte. He is a master electrician who took immense pride in totally rewiring our entire electrical system so our new generator will operate. Frank is knowledgeable, competent, courteous, and we are so grateful that he was sent to our home to do our job!

To say this company is top notch is a gross understatement. Their customer service and quality blows away any other company. From the initial estimate to the follow-up calls, Reliable Power has it all covered. I wouldn't hesitate a second to recommend any service performed by Reliable. After Hurricane Irma, my husband and I vowed we would never be without power again. We committed to purchasing a whole house generator, but of course the question is from whom. What company could we trust? After reading online and talking to neighbors, we knew Reliable Power was on our short list. After the initial in-person estimate by Chris, I was impressed by their responsiveness and attention to detail. Rob personally oversaw our plans to ensure the most efficient quality installation. Jennifer and Alberto managed the permitting and the HOA paperwork submission (THANK YOU! I dread having to collect all that information!). Jennifer maintained constant communication throughout the process, and Albert texted me status updates on the permitting (with my permission and request to do so). As we approached install day, Kaela sent me detailed notes on what to expect and had clear and professional communication. When I called to speak to her, she was so friendly and an absolute delight to speak with. Here's where I was really blown away, hands down blown away: Day off installation, I was worried about losing power for an excessively long time because I have a young daughter and work from home. No power means I can't work, and no power means not a lot of access to my daughter's needs. I expressed my concern and while not a big deal by any means, Dave (installer) made it his mission for us to be without power for the least amount of time possible. He so impressed me with his planning and understanding of my concern that he was able to only need to shut down our power for minutes, not hours. It just got better from there. Jennifer mentioned to me that a team would be doing yard restoration. Sure, I thought. Restoration. They'll probably patch up the holes and be on their way. No, not Reliable Power. They resodded and re-mulched my yard and flower beds. Even my husband was fully blown away. It was like they were never even there. I can't express how happy and delighted I was that there was one fewer thing I needed to do than restore my yard to its previous state. There is no detail that this company doesn't cover. Frank came out a few days later to set up the generator and give me a tutorial. He stayed longer than necessary to answer my general power questions and educate me on how power flows to the plant to my house. Then, Angie (in conjunction with Germaine) called me to introduce her and her team and to let me know she would be following up with me (with my permission) for the yearly maintenance and general reminders about warranties. I don't write a lot of reviews, but this company and their team warrant an exceptional commendation for the operation they are running. And last but certainly not least, their fees were honest, clear, and comparable to their competitors. While I'm a huge believer in you get what you pay for, I didn't have to overpay for exceptional service. There is a such a huge relief in knowing my kids and my family will be comfortable not just with another big storm but with any power outage. Thank you to the Reliable team for bringing that security to us!

All they did was run a wire in the attic for the generator that has nothing connected to it at either end and left it there. They did change the ceiling lights that I supplied. They never ran a new circuit in the bedroom. They just took out the switch that was there and put a double switch in its place. That took 6 hours. They then said they would be back the next day to finish. After not hearing from them for 3 months, they call wanting to finish the job. I said I was no longer interested in them doing any work for me. Now they want me to pay a large bill for work they didn't do or didn't finish.
