Kevin was excellent. There was a problem with the chandelier stem being crooked from the factory and Kevin wouldn't stop until he had it straight. Charging by the hour I thought the work would be slow but Kevin worked very hard. He didn't stop until the work was completed and I was happy with everything. One of the fans developed a slight rattle and there was no hassle at all. He came out in a few days and fixed the issue. Mary in the office is wonderful also. She is very calm and patient answering questions and will find out answers if she doesn't know. The price is good. I will use them again.
Description of Work: I needed 2 new ceiling fans installed with the old ones removed, a chandelier installed where there was an existing light, a CFI outlet checked, one ceiling fan moved to the bedroom and that one moved to the living room.

It's been almost 3 years and we still appreciate the great work - Elcon and their crew came and fixed two half-baked outdoor lighting fiascos where we might as well have lit the money on fire - replaced with very reliable product - fixed our AC as well and we continue to enjoy our home - I wish each trade provided the service and quality product these guys did - well done - highly recommend! Thanks!

They have did all of our outdoor lighting and redid our bathroom lighting. We've had them for a number of years. When we get a good company, we stick with them. They are wonderful. They are very professional, and cover their feet with those booties. They will explain and educate you on how to use things if it's necessary.

Elcon was very professional from scheduling to a reminder to showing up on time and completing the job in a timely fashion. There was one miscommunication between us which we worked through to a satisfactory and fair solution. I would use them again without reservation.

If anyone is looking for a knowledgeable professional Mel is your man. He knew his business, was open for questions, didn't mind me looking over his shoulder and his work was neat. Mel is a perfectionist.. Elcon's estimate was realistic and complete and wasn't a "lowball". I would use Elcon and Mel again for sure!

I bought the "electrician for a day" package. The contacted me by phone to get an idea of the work that needed to be done. We set up a day and time and they arrived on time. The electrician replaced two ceiling fans, replaced three outdoor motion activated lights, fixed the electric timer for the sprinkler system, fixed a few outlets and wired the electrical panel for a generator. I would definitely use this company again.

They didn't have the proper ladders, so I didn't like that. They didn't have ladder to install a chandelier. We have a staircase so it's kind of high. They were nice. They should really listen better to their client's needs. They came out here without the proper equipment. They should analyze better the scope of the job.

Rusty was very professional and was able to route the new circuit using an already existing pipe on the outside of the house. This job was done under the initial estimate since he didn't have to go through the attic.
Description of Work: Changed over a water heater circuit from 20 amps to 30 amps. Installed a new dedicated 240volt 30amp circuit, disconnected old circuit and combined a 30-50amp breaker.

BUYER BEWARE. ONLY PAY PER JOB, NOT BY THE HOUR.
Description of Work: BUYER BEWARE!!! Make SURE you get a price for the full job instead of agreeing to pay by the hour. Since I had so many things I needed done I wanted to make it easier on them to just pay for the time and I supply the materials. As soon as we agreed upon working by the hour, the electrician decided to take a break. He went out to his truck and stayed up there for some time. I finally went outside to try to find him. He then did everything but work. He needed to find the 3rd switch to a three way. I told him where I thought that light switch was. Instead of trying the switch I thought it was he persisted to disassemble ALL of the other light switches in my house to "test them". What should have taken him a matter of a minute or two to find the third switch to the three way took him close to an hour. All said and done, he ended up hanging two outside security lights and one coach light billing a total of 4.5 hours. To make matters worse, out of the three lights installed, only one works. I am unsure of how this company managed to have a high rating on this site. From their work ethics I would say the reviews are manipulated by them.

The work was ok, but the estimate I was given was way over inflated. I thought it would be a couple of hours of work but I was convinced it was 5 hours. It really did take 2 hours, but the electrician tried to space out as long as possible, and he said he was done after 3 1/5 hours. Still charged me the full amount. Won't use again.

JJ was dispatched to diagnose the problem, and found all the issues in less than an hour. He repaired everything without needing any parts he didn't already have in his truck. He was professional in his attitude, and kept me informed throughout the job.

Gus showed up right on time. Installation of fan with light was done in a very timely and professional manner. All debris was cleaned up. He then proceeded to do the safety inspection. He was excellent in pointing out a few issues that we had not up to code. No pressure to have any additional work done. We did opt to have him install bubble plates over the outside outlets. Had a very good experience with Elcon.

FANTASTIC. Elcon returned my call within 15 minutes of my buying an "all day electrician" Angie's List special deal. They were polite, professional, and thorough. The electrician, Rusty, came out at 8am sharp and spent the full day without even taking a break. He doesn't have an off switch! When I offered to get him lunch or drinks, he just kept charging on, saying he had grabbed a drink and granola bar in his truck, and didn't want to squander the time I'd purchased! (I saved a bit of $ by providing my own parts, but Rusty had everything he needed on the truck, just in case.) He is one of the most professional, expert contractors I've ever had in my home, and I have had a LOT of contractors working here. His work was aesthetically perfect. I had quite a few questions about future jobs, and he answered everything with ease and confidence. This man knows his profession! If all the other Elcon electricians are as good as Rusty, I don't know how the other companies can even compete. I have more electrical work to do, and I will look no further than Elcon Electric and the best Master Electrician ever, Rusty.
