replace 1 fan and 3 parts on order for remote for the other 3. Not all repaired yet but they are operational.

It went very well. Tech was earlier than expected...a first for me. He was very neat and so was his work. I would not hesitate to rehire, should the need arise.

My a/c unit was not getting 100% power & my a/c guy told me to get an electrician to look at the breakers because he was not licensed to do electrical work like that. So I found Elcon Electric on Angie’s List, called them and got a very helpful, responsive and cheerful after hours operator to help me. (This all occurred at 4:45 PM on Friday night of course! ). She clearly explained the costs involved & got an after hours tech (Mell Arne) to call me back within an hour to speak with me. Mell called me from his van on the way up from Pompano to talk to me about what was going on, and he too was very helpful. Mell arrived on time, went straight to my outside breaker box, and immediately found the problem and remedied it. (It had nothing to do with my AC unit itself and suspect when the “On Call” FP&L electrician worked in that breaker box two days ago, that somehow he loosened the breaker wire that caused my AC unit to start acting up. Not sure I will have them come back to hook up the “On Call” system again!) In any event, Elcon Electric was very responsive on a Friday night, my problem was solved quickly and my house cooled down within an hour of Mell’s fix. I would recommend Elcon Electric any time based on my experience with them. Mell even called this morning as a follow-up to make sure everything was working as it should! Let’s face it, we all want decent service and that’s what I paid for and that’s what I got with Elcon Electric.

They did a good job, they were able to make the fan and the light work perfectly today.

Our technician Mell arrived right on the scheduled time without a hitch. Once we supplied the necessary parts for the installation of the item he got right to work investigating the best way to get it installed and quickly began. Minus the fact I had to change a few things on the original work ticket he was very efficient and was even able to install a 15-Amp Surge Protector Outlet for us in our Wire Enclosure Box. We will definitely be using Elcon again for any follow-up jobs.

Absolutely outstanding! Roman came and gave us an accurate estimate for replacement of 19 overhead lights from conical recessed to flush to ceiling. We couldn't find exactly what we wanted but he got them and brought them for the installation visit; also put in about 5 dimmers. The most difficult coordination for us was installation of wall sconces since we were wallpapering the bathroom at the same time. We had to have the wiring put in first, then restore the drywall. Roman cut out the drywall squares so that they would be easy to put back and even put them back in so all we needed to do was spackle for the wallpaper people to cover the work. Then once the wallpaper was done he installed the sconces perfectly and even rehung the bathroom mirror. Great , friendly service! Attached pics of the ceiling light and sconces were rotated in the upload & I couldn't figure out how to change the rotation once uploaded.

Electrician arrived on time, very professional and schooled me basic electrical wiring. I had a handyman who couldn’t replace 2 light switches (that controlled exterior foyer light and 3 garage lights) in a 2-Gang box due to mulitple lines inside the box. Highly recommend this company!!

Trouble shooting went just fine. The electrician said there was a problem with a fixture and would return for the rest of the work when I purchsed a new fixture. When I called to sched the electrician no longer worked for them.

This company is AWFUL with follow through and doing what is asked. We contacted them to assess electrical issues and quality after a home accident/flood. They were clearly instructed that we needed a detailed report about wiring being to code and things that should be done resulting from the accident. Additionally, we had asked for a quote for extra work we wanted to do while the "opportunity allowed". The report was so basic, we could have written it ourselves. They claimed that an estimate for any work could not be given as they "charge by the hour". Funny, we had a plumber come out for the very same purpose, provided a detailed and report, and even though the plumber charges by the hour, they were very capable of providing an estimate of any and all work that would potentially be done. Seems that they encourage their people to be inefficient and slow to charge more, or else they could have given a reasonable estimate. We will NEVER use them again. The guy that came out did not take ANY notes, did take a few pics, but very sloppy and unprofessional. NEVER USE!

They arrived on time. Brought the correct diagnostic equipment. Reprogramed the transmitter. Immediately diagnosed the problem and fixed it. They are experienced in this and did not overcharge me like Mr Sparky did.

Elcon Electric is really a 5 Star company. I rarely leave a review but my experience with Elcon was exceptional, amazing and the only electrical company I would recommend. If you live in FL you are well aware that quality electricians and companies are not easy to find. When I was looking for a electrician I looked on Angie’s list [not always reliable] I goggled reviews on several companies and narrowed it down to 3. It came down to two pretty quickly. I spoke with someone in the office at Elcon, she was very nice, she explained the whole process, the amount per hour depending on a 1 or 2 men job. I told her I would think it over and get back to her. The other company I was considering the owner/electrician made the job I needed to be done seem so complicated that I was confused on who to hire. I have used so many bad contractors over the years that one develops a ‘fear’ to hiring anyone. My grandfather was a master electrician and I am well aware the danger of hiring someone who might not know what they are doing. A few weeks passed I still had not made a decision, when my phone rang it was the lady I had originally spoke to at Elcon. She said she just wanted to check if I had my electrical issues fixed? I was so very impressed with the ‘follow up call’…. to me that showed great customer service. I think her name was Mary I hope Elcon can check on that because she is a valuable employee. Roman is the electrician that came to my home. THE BEST!!! He was amazing, very professional and very thorough at fixing and repairing and replacing our fixtures. Roman addressed all of our concerns and both my husband and felt secure that all was done correctly and perfectly. We have 4 brick posts in the front of our house and two of the lamps weren’t working. Roman had to come back today to fix that [2 man job] as the buried cable had to be found and repaired. I did not think think I could be anymore impressed with this company…then I met Rusty. He was great, amazing! Both Rusty and Roman worked hard in the hot sun and kept digging till they found the cable. My posts lights work great! Elcon will be the only electrical company I will ever use from now on. My neighbors know I rarely , if ever, recommend anyone. I am so impressed by Roman and Rusty that I have already recommended Elcon to two of my neighbors.Usually I will just say a company is OK….this time I said Elcon was great! Changed out almost every light switch and wall socket, hung ceiling fan & installed new bathroom exhaust fans. New ballasts for the flourescent lights in the kitchen and bath. Disconnected electric connection to a garbage disposal that I later had removed. I still have a few things to do, and will be contacting Elcon again when I'm ready to proceed, since I am happy with their service. I used another company a year or so ago that outrageously overcharged, and I have to say I prefer Elcon's by-the-hour pricing to those by-the-job ripoffs.

The entire staff at Elcon Electric is courteous, dependable, and professional. When we moved into a new home they hung kitchen and dining room lighting fixtures for us and installed LED high hat lights in the living room and the master bedroom. They were prompt, showing up exactly when they said they would, and the areas where they worked were spotless when they left. After Hurricane Irma we did not have electricity in parts of the kitchen, but did in other parts. They scheduled an appointment within days and took care of the problem. (It was a defective breaker.) This past week the electrician that has worked in our home after the hurricane, J.J., helped troubleshoot and solve an electrical problem we were having with some outdoor lighting. J.J. explained things to us in a manner that we could understand. We are totally pleased with Elcon's quality of the work, the capability and knowledge of the staff, and the fairness of the charges. They exceeded our expectations.

Roman came out and quickly problem solved an issue. Another company made the job seem as though it would cost thousands of dollars and multiple days of work. Roman confidently resolved my issue and the company rep even communicated with the HVAC company to clarify the actual problem. It saved me thousands and a huge headache! Thank you ELCON!

Roman and his crew upgraded the entire electric system throughout the house, connecting the outdoor panel to the indoor panel, upgrading switches, and installing new outlets and fixtures – and by providing other critical services. They did a superb job undertaking this challenging task in a 1940s house in East Fort Lauderdale. Roman, the team leader, is highly competent, courteous, professional and accommodating. They arrived and finished a quality job on time. I could not ask for better service. Elcon is the BEST, and I will ensure that all my friends and colleagues know about this great company!

I felt confident in this company given the great reviews on angies list. My disappointment is intense. The guy showed up to assess what could potentially be wrong with the electrical system connecting to the pool pump. The pump was brand new and the pool guy mentioned the pump or motor weren’t the problem, but instead the wiring. This guy immediately started dismantling the actual pump. I approached him and asked him what he was doing and he responded “troubleshooting”. I asked what the issue was and he said he didn’t know. By the way, another electrician had provided an estimate the day before and told us the wires were galvanized, so potentially that was the issue. So I repeated he needed to ***** the whole wiring and panel etc before dismantling a brand new pool system. He got all rude. He said he needed to troubleshoot to determine the issue. And that if I didn’t like it he’d leave. The problem was he was troubleshooting where we knew there wasn’t an issue at my hourly plus material expense. He said he’d leave. Not before going to my panel and doing who knows what. I called the company and filed a complaint. They said it was probably a “misunderstanding”. Here is the interesting part. I’ve had 2 electricians to my house since. Before the pool pump at least turned on. Now there are no wires to it. I’ve had 2 guys that originally remodeled my house and did all the electrical working for 2 days trying to find what this guy did to the panel. The only conclusion is that this guy was so rude and upset that he actually disconnected and hid the wires in the panel. Absolute no no. No recommend. No rehire. Not nothing.

The only negative that I can tell is they are not on time, but I will definitely use them again and they did a great job. He also go to my fuse box that lead him move the appliances blocking the box. I was about to help him but he didn't made me do any work at all.
