Description of Work: The weeds growing in my yard were the size of the sign they used to say they sprayed the lawn. Same answer every time they couldnt do anything about it.

Description of Work: We had the nicest lawn and landscaping on the block. We wanted to protect it so we went with the company that had the greatest name recognition, Trugreen. By the way, I say "HAD" because thanks to Trugreen, that is no more. They so neglected our lawn and landscaping that our lawn is now infested with perennial weeds and I have had to dig out shrubbery too numerous to count, (with plenty of dead plants still left to remove). These weren't new plants by the way, these were very mature, tremendously expensive plants. My wife's prized butterfly bush was destroyed by insect infestation. This is a plant that brought great joy to her life as it attracted butterflies to the yard for many months throughout the year. | |My lawn was destroyed by cinch bugs. The technician told my wife and I that the cinch-bug season came early and caught Trugreen off guard. I asked what they were going to do to remedy the situation and the technician told us to wait 2-3 months and the grass would grow in to the dead spots. Many months later, there was no progress. The technicians came regularly to spread chemicals on our dead grass and subsequently left reports on our door stating "your lawn looks great". My wife and I contacted the office and spoke with Marshall. Marshall was super apologetic. "This never should have happened." "We feel terrible that your lawn and shrubbery has been damaged." "I feel terrible that the butterfly bush is dead." "I'm going to send a service manager out to talk to you." "We're going to make this right." After all that apologizing, business continued as usual. Trugreen technicians kept coming to the house and spreading chemicals, but our lawn and shrubbery were still dead. We still kept getting reports from technicians stating "your lawn looks great". Apparently this is part of the boiler-plate report, and the technician never actually looks at your yard. Or perhaps Trugreen technicians see so many lawns and shrubs they've allowed to die that my lawn looked like the best of the dead lawns they service? | |Many weeks go by with more calls to Marshall, more apologies and no change in the condition of our lawn or shrubs. Chemicals continue to get spread with more notes on our door. Nothing changes. Finally I let Marshall know we needed to change course. Trugreen needed to replace the dead grass and the dead shrubs. Marshall instead sends a technician to our residence to spread more chemicals. This time the technician's note states that we have perennial weeds in our yard that need to be addressed. We are instructed to spread topsoil in the area of dead grass. That was the last straw. I called Marshall to cancel our service. | |These guys my have the biggest name in the industry, but they are the worst when it comes to protecting your landscaping. Thanks to Trugreen, my once beautiful grass and shrubs are destroyed. It will cost me thousands of dollars to get my property back to the condition it was in prior to awarding Trugreen and Marshall the business. Stay way away from these guys.
