+ -1 moreI pointed out leaks that I wanted corrected and the salesperson said the best option was a re-roof. After the work was completed, the leaks immediately came back. They came out at least three more times and finally I was told that there is a limit to them coming back. Needless to say, my roof still leaks.

+ -1 moreHe inspecting the roof and he looked at the problem I was having and explained that my roof was in good shape. He was timely, prompt, and to the point. He was very informative, efficient & professional with his inspection. He suggested I hire a handyman to take care of our project. I even had to cancel once and he was very open minded about it and even willing to work around my schedule. Fred Krei was the project manager.
Description of Work: I called and made an appointment. He came out and looked at my roof. The project that we’re looking at includes a screen porch rooftop. I thought there may have been water leaking from our roof.

+ -1 moreThis was awhile ago and the date is an approximate date. They were great, showed up on time and did a fantastic job. They are a little pricy, but a great company. I had dealt with a previous roofer who was lousy and now I feel confident that these leaks are finally fixed right.
Description of Work: They fixed 2 separate leaks on 2 separate occasions @ $2k each trip for a 10x10 sq ft area.

I gave Paul Bange Roofing, Inc. the option of letting me have another roofing contractor take over the permit and to give me an estimate of the cost of the work done to temporarily stop the leak pending repairs. No estimate has been provided. My suggestion is that anything a Paul Bange Roofing, Inc.'s sales representative says regardng the project, no matter how small, should be placed in the contract. In my case, because of "changed circumstances," the contract has to be amended and Paul Bange Roofing, Inc. has agreed, vebally, to amend it regarding the window requirements, but only after it speaks to the window contractor. Also, it is unclear whether Paul Bange is actively managing the company and you may wish to determine that before signing a contract.
Description of Work: I received a proposal from Paul Bange Roofing, Inc. (the Davie office) regarding a leak in my roof. I had previously consulted it regarding the same leak and was told that it might be that the window needed caulking. Once the window was caulked, the leak continued and I called Paul Bange Roofing, Inc. and so indicated. I am a member of its Overhead Care Club. Based upon its reputation, I signed the proposal and was told at the time by the representatve that a permit was not required. I thought that was suspect so I called my town's building department and was told that a permit was required. I so informed Paul Bange Roofing, Inc. in a letter and expressed certain other concerns. No response was received in writing, but a permit was obtained. When te roofers came to repair the roof, they were met by the town's building division inspector and the repair could not be commenced. It was determined that the window had to be removed, among other things, and all work ceased that day. I am still determining the potential window contractors to work with Paul Bange Roofing, Inc. on the project. I have sent a detailed letter to Paul Bange Roofing, Inc.'s President, who is the qualified person for business license purposes, regarding the past concerns not yet addressed in writing and new concerns relating to the project (including but not limited to misrepresentation by sales representative regardng the warranty provided under the Overhead Care Club, my not being able to see the terms of the permit, and failure to do a "water test" when I first inquired regarding the leak). I don't think the President ever saw the letter. A verbal response was received on one of the issues from the Project Manager, but not on the other issues. I will be happy to send Angie's List the letters. Maybe, it can arrange for a written response to be received on the issues that do not relate to the window. Paul Bange Roofing, Inc. has indicated that a meeting with the window contractor is necessary before the window related concerns can be addressed in writing. I am still interviewing window contractors and joined Angie's List again to try to find a window's contractor that has good reviews, because of Better Business Bureau complaints received by two of the prospectve window contractors that have provded estimates.

+ -1 moreDid not go well... Still had a leak; Had to make 5 or 6 calls to get them back over. The reply was "well, we did the job, there is nothing else we can do". Would not and did not offer to have another look at the roof. For $3,500.00 not what I expected! Will NEVER use them or recommend them. EVER! This happened last yesr, just joined Angies List, thats why it took so long for me to write this. To this day it still bugs me and I still have the leak!!
Description of Work: They were "supposed-to" repair a leak I has under my front porch. They replaced some shingles, a section fascia board and put some tar around the area where they thought the leak was coming from.

+ -1 moreThe person that came to talk to me, I got three quotes but he was the only one that talked to me. He spent a lot of time explaining different things to do with why I would want to use one roofer over another while looking at the quote. He spent a lot of time, he was very good. I chose to go with him because he explained to me the difference between what I would get, looking at the quote between one roof or another, and the other quotes I got had inferior product and they didn't even bother to talk to me, they just emailed the quote or left it on the front porch. He built up trust because I understood what he was talking about. They told me everything; what was going on and what was going to happen.
Description of Work: I got a whole new roof from Paul Bange Roofing.

I paid some more besides the big deal purchase because that was just for some inspection and I paid for their work. They listened to my problem and I showed them the place were I had a stain.
Description of Work: Paul Bange Roofing Inc. used some silver stuff which was like a sheet and they used concrete and cement to make concrete. They checked that and the rest of the roof.

+ -1 moreThe initial visit was great and I've since joined their Overhead Care Club. John was the project manager who came to inspect the roof, take pictures, and added mesh covers for the pipe openings that were left uncovered. Very knowlegdeable. Also, he's prompt and professional.
Description of Work: Actually, it's been over a year where they did an inspection. SInce then I've signed up for their Overhead Care Club member which provides annual roof inspection with a 17 point Safety Analysis, and Pre Casualty inspection. I think they are a reputable company and that's why I've become a repeat customer. The cost is $20/month.

+ -1 morenot too good. they quickly set up an appointment to provide estimate but estimator(Tom) called to try and postpone 30 minutes before agreed time. when i explained i really needed work done as we are in rainy season, he seemed annoyed but agreed to come out only to cancel again 45 minutes later because of "traffic". would not call again based on this experience.

They are a little more expensive than I thought it would be but the thing was that, I thought he would give me a discount because he used a lot of my roof tiles but he didn't. He used a lot of them. He did a good job because we had a little bit of rain and it hadn't leak since then, so it's probably good.

+ -1 moreThe price was 1700.00 higher than my 2nd bid for skylight replacement to bring them up to Miami Dade County Code. Salesman gave a a brochure and tried to sell me a yearly maintance contract before he went over the proposal for the work I wanted. When I reviewed the proposal I did not see anything about a permit. When I asked about the permit I was told no permit was required. I had checked with the city already and a permit is required for this work and they told me that if you do not pull a permit you can run into issues with your insurance company when you get inspected for wind mitigation. This is not something I would want to take a chance on.

Description of Work: Bange Roofing removed old tile roof and damaged plywood around the entire perimeter of the house. Fast, efficient, and courteous service in the removal and replacement of new barrel tile roof. Quick response (a couple of hours, not days) to repair one cracked tile (not their fault) 6 months later. I am extremely satisfied.

+ -1 moreI phoned Paul Bange Roofing (found them on Angie's list) from overseas and spoke with Shelley, who answered the phone in a very warm and welcoming manner. Her bubbly greeting came thru as really genuine. I explained that I needed an assessment done on my roof for insurance purposes, and asked if they did this. The insurance companies records showed that my roof was over 25 years old, but I had completely replaced the roof in 2005 using another company. Shelley took my details, and said that she would try to locate the permit from 2005 (which I did not have a copy of), explaining that if she could find this it would save me a fair bit of money, as this was an totally unnecessary expense. When I called her back a few days later, true to her word, she provided me with the permit number and some good advice as well. Her only request of me was that I consider Paul Bange Roofing when next I need work done on the roof. Based on Shelley's professionalism, and her willingness to go the extra mile, I would look nowhere else. She was outstanding, and saved me money as well! I have recommended them to several people as well, should they ever need a roofer.
Description of Work: No actual work performed. Just provided me with the permit number for work done by another company a few years ago.

The roof has a good warrenty and we are happy with the product and instillation. i feel the office could have done a better job communicating with me.

Description of Work: I had used Paul Bange roofing for many years, but my last experience started making me wonder. I had a roof leak and the salesman said it would not pay to fix any more leaks and strongly recommended a new roof. He had given me a ball park price and would give me an actual quote. The estimate turned out to be almost 20% higher than the ballpark. At this point I decided to check with another roofer who gave me a roof estimate 20% cheaper than Bange (which actually was Banges ballpark number) and was able to fix the leak as an option for $600. I fixed the roof. I no longer have confidence in Paul Bange Roofing no matter how big they are. I'll never really be sure if the prices I paid him before were too much although they did repair my roof several times to my satisfaction. However, I would not use them again. They lost my trust.

+ -1 moreI couldn't be more pleased with Paul Bange Roofing. They didn't require a deposit when I signed the contract, which was several months before I told them they could begin the work. The price was $2,000 less than other roofing companies I interviewed. They arrived early and worked until after dusk every day. After each days work, they cleaned up after themselves. The office staff and supervisor could not have been more helpfull. All and all, a great company to work with. GREAT EXPERIENCE!

They sourced the problem and provided me with an estimate to repair. as I have a tile roof, they removed the tiles, repaired the sournce of the leak and re-installed the roof tiles which had been removed. They completed their work within their estimated time frame and for the estimated price. And they removed all their work tools, et al prior to leaving the job .Despite heavy rains since the repair, the leak has not re-appeared.
Description of Work: This company knows roofs ! I have a tile roof and they were able to identify the leak's location, & repair. I have not had an issue since with leaks. I highly recommend.

In the process of obtaining my insurance coverage of this damage I needed to get firm estimates of both roof and structural repair. This is one of the companies I contacted. I was shocked at how out of line they were compared to other reputable firms.
Description of Work: I requested an estimate for repairs and insurance purposes. The company's estimator was prompt and professional. However, the repair estimate was over $8,000 higher than three highly reputable competitors. I would not recommend this company to anyone as I feel that their intent is to gauge unsuspecting customers well in excess of reasonable and customary.
