Description of Work: Responsive and punctual to my request for inspection and estimate for the job, but extremely expensive!!! I don't doubt the quality of their work, but I could not justify using them having other highly reputable contractors as good or better than them for less than half their price.

Description of Work: Flat roof and soffit repair . Very pricey . Flat roof has had no issues so far , but soffit repair was sloppy and incomplete .. Told me they would paint and they didn't .. When asked them to do it, they wanted more money for an already expensive job

Description of Work: Paul Bange installed a new roof ten years ago and inspect it every year (under a special care policy paid for annually). We have reported two leaks and they have quickly inspected and repaired the leaks satisfactorly. Even though the roof will be due for replacement any time, they continue to advise that it is still in satisfactory condition - not looking to make money off of something that is still in fair condition.

Description of Work: Paul Bange roofing came out and quoted me a price for roof repairs. They used consistent bating and comforting language that ended with them quoting me a price that almost made me faint. I received two other quotes from professionals the next day that were one fourth of the cost and was told I didn't need half of the work done that Paul Bange roofing quoted me for. Paul Bange roofing then called me 8 times the next day. I kept this short and sweet but dont take just my word for it....look at the other F reviews on this site.

Description of Work: Needed a new roof on my property.. A Paul Bange rep came out on time to inspect the current roof. Inspected the roof and said electrical vent on the roof was not working which was not true as it had just been replaced. Wrote the estimate for replacing the roof on the back of a business card. When asked for a breakdown of supplies and services said that that would be supplied after they got the contract for the work. On insistence, the rep wrote out a full estimate which came out over four thousand higher than the nearest estimate from another company. Needless to say, went with another company.

Description of Work: The reason for getting a roof repair was to stop leaks. The work done did not cure the problem as promised. We were later told that the chimney needed repair and that leaks were running from other parts of the roof. We did not pay for reasons but were disappointed that the problem was not solved, The salesman came back and suggested a more extensive repair.. We are going with another AngiesList company in the hopes that our problem will be resolved.

Description of Work: Two calls a year apart one through a website that offers three roofers to call with an offer to review and estimate. Neither time did they call. Business must be good to be so lax in responding to calls. I would prefer a more customer focused roofer May be good. Who knows. They don't call back

Description of Work: I was a little disappointed because I called this company on a $99 "big deal" offer to make two roof repairs for $99.The company was punctual and responsive. However, instead of coming to my home with an intention to make repairs,a salesman came to my home, and proceeded to tell me why I needed a new roof. He was very nice and gave me a pricefor a new roof, but that's not what I thought I was paying for. I just needed a few repairs. I was impressed by this company's Angie's List rating, and would call them again if I wanted to replace my roof. I called Angie's List and got my money back.

Description of Work: We used Paul Bange about 6 months ago and they were great. However, the last repair was awful- we had no damage before the repair and now we have serious damage. The water continued to come in-we couldn't reach. Bange was unaccountable! Tom Martin at Bange doesn't f/up, doesn't return phone calls...we have given up on Bange and will now use the services of Morton or J&K. There is a reason why this company's reviews have slowly deteriorated over the last 6 months. I would run away from using them! They are a disaster.

Description of Work: Wow! Nelson came to the house, on time, put on shoe covers and found the leak (which other roofing companies did not). The leak was not coming from our roof but instead from our balcony patio decking. He indicated it was not a service his company provided and did not charge us anything. A true honest contractor! Thanks.

Description of Work: BEWARE this company! i purchased their Big Deal, which was 2 hours of roof maintenance and repair for $99. The appointment was scheduled promptly and the guy showed up on time. He came inside and much to my surprise, presented me with a written estimate of $2,375 for the repair of my little roof leak. !!! I told him I had bought the deal, and asked how that would be applied to this work estimate. He first appeared to have no knowledge of the deal until I pointed it out on his own work order. He told me that the company needed to make at least $3000 a day to cover their own expenses and that $99 wasn't enough to do this work. While that is probably true, it sure didn't seem like a "big deal" when he offered to knock off $99 from his original estimate!! I invited him to leave my house and I called Angie's List, who promptly refunded my money for the Big Deal I bought. I waited one week to post this review because I wanted in fairness to have another licensed, insured, Angie-recommended roofing company to give me an estimate. Earl Johnston roofing just left my house, and in addition to making the same repair of the leak, he inspected the entire roof and found 12 broken tiles that need to be replaced. His total estimate for ALL that work? $1,265.00.

Description of Work: Had called PBR for an estimate to make some roof repairs. They were on time and professional. Everything seemed to be perfect with them. I received an estimate that was very aggressive. I did not act on it for a couple of months as I was getting other estimates. When I finally did, PBR was the lowest so I called them to give them the job. They called back and they said that they needed to revise the quote as there had been some insurance changes that necessitated such changes. I understood this to mean that they were going to increase the price. I was fine with this since their price was substantially lower than the second most aggressive quote and they may have made a mistake as we all do from time to time. The gentleman did come over and looked at the roof and said that he had to discuss it with his boss. A couple of weeks came and went and I called them again to inquire about when they had planned to do with my roof and each time I would get the same answer , that they were discussing it and call me back. This went on for 6 weeks. It was obvious that they had under quoted and/or did not want the job. In the meantime, the condition of the needed repairs started to become critical as the wood was now starting to rot so I had to award it to another of the companies on Angies list who came as needed and did a super job. This was a very unprofessional way to handle it. If there is a problem with a quote or if you don't want the job, just say so. To keep saying that they are going to get back to me "next week" and never had any intentions of doing so is very unprofessional and irresponsible. The almost 2 months that went by made my repairs worse. I will never use them again.

Description of Work: We are very pleased with this roofing company. They are professional, prompt and their employees are always helpful and polite. If you call the office with a question, it is answered quickly and pleasantly. The quality of their work is excellent. Another important fact: all the debris is picked up each day before the workers leave. It was a pleasure to do business with Paul Bange Roofing..
