Jeff and all the guys were AMAZING. They seriously were the best and nothing like what you'd typically expect from a moving company. They were SO PATIENT, even though my building was a complete headache to deal with (elevators were down, we had to wait forever for our turn). They really turned what could've been a nightmare into an excellent experience. Took care of my belongings and made note of everything I pointed out needed extra care. Highly highly highly recommend!!!

I hired direct relocation to help my elderly parents move out of state. We worked with Jorde on our move, and he was amazing. We actually selected another mover initially, but had such a terrible experience the day of the move that we called Jorde right away to see if we could go with them instead. He got us set up for the next day, sent a very professional crew, and was very transparent about pricing. For a very exhausting and tiring situation, Jorde made it smooth again for me and my parents, and I am super thankful for it. I'd highly recommend this company!

If either of you or anyone you know needs to relocate, I will now sing the praises of DIRECT RELOCATION SERVICES, the multiple Grammy winning company we recently hired for all of our moving needs. Although we moved just prior to Christmas (from Fort Lauderdale to Deerfield Beach, FL), we had to reschedule a week before and there was absolutely no problem or issue. Just a brief summary before launching into the superlatives. We required packing of all of our clothing, kitchen items, garden furniture, plants, electronics, furniture: everything. After their representative (Andrew) came to evaluate our needs we quickly received a very fair and all inclusive quote with a fixed date. NO HIDDEN COSTS!! And we off to the races... Here is a partial hit-parade superlatives to describe this outstanding company. Drum roll: accommodating,flexible,dependable,efficient,no-nonsense,extremely hard-working (the entire process lasted more than 12 hours and none of the 5 band members took more than a quick lunch break!) Their names are: Jeff, Dave, Zack, Diego and Rainiel. Truly the fab 5! But I digress: Highly Covid appropriate and safe, great camaraderie and senses of humor, polite and respectful, honest, diligent, delicate and careful with fragile items and carried down 3 flights of stairs all heavy boxes, gym equipment and furniture with ease and not an off-key beat to the truck. There is so much more but Iâ ll with this refrain. Moving is a highly stressful and angst-filled situation. Direct Relocation Services turned the entire experience into a multi-platinum event. Every item and box was carefully unloaded into our new home and not a dish was broken and no knick-knack was lost. So the concluding remarks of this long love-song is Thanks For Memories (all the positive), guys, and a huge shout-out to the head honcho, Justin Perez, who takes ultimate blame or credit for the process: Huge props to you the whole team at DRS. Highest praises and strongest recommendations for the incredibly great performance you put on, pandemic be damned!

Buyer beware!!! Read the other reviews. I donâ t know if this is their thing - their scam - their line, but these are the facts of our move. Youâ ll see many similar themes in other reviews, specifically of the manager, Andrew, lying and evading calls; the team promising dates and not delivering; and a history of saying than â broke down.â - DRS has a great sales team. They sell you a â white gloveâ bill of goods. - Moving day was relatively uneventful, but they packed everything in a box truck and said theyâ d be moving it to a different truck to wait for a long haul driver, but promised the delivery would be here before Christmas and/or within ten days (read the fine print!!!!! It says 30 business days is their delivery window) - Christmas comes and goes and no truck. No phone calls. We would have chalked it up to the holidays but then the driver calls. First, he says he has side swiped another vehicle and the truck needs repairs. No word on our property. - The next thing we know, the driver is calling again and this time he has a flat tire. - Another day goes by and the driver is calling and saying he needs us to WIRE HIM CASH for gas or he canâ t deliver our stuff. Ladies and gentlemen, this is called extortion. He was quite literally holding our property hostage. - Meanwhile, the manager Andrew makes like he knows nothing of this and says heâ s on top of it. He concurs that we should not pay the scam/bribe/driver. He also has no solutions. - Our next update from Andrew is that the driver has been fired but that our property is supposedly safe and sound in a warehouse a few hours from our home. - Days go by. His story changes. Now, the truck is in a service station for repairs - still no word on our property. He claims not to know when the truck will be available to get to us. - No offer of remuneration. No second van or alternative transportation to bring our property to us. No indication of damage. No legal support for the driver. - Communication has been dodgy. They called our emergency contact listed in our file and said we gave their phone number. The story keeps changing. - We have lived in two other countries and seven other states. We have used long haul services for many of these moves. This is by far the worst we have ever used. Nothing short of a scam, complete with shifting communication and plenty of liability loopholes in their contract. Bottom line: buyer beware, buyer beware, buyer beware!!!

DO NOT USE DIRECT RELOCATION IF YOU VALUE YOUR BELONGINGS! I read the glowing reviews of this company and contracted with them for my interstate move from Florida to North Carolina. It appears that most of the good reviews were for local moves, not interstate. As I was a moving novice, I learned all the things I would do differently when dealing with moving companies. This company is up there with all the horror stories you read. I could go on for 3 pages of all the things that went wrong. Some problems could be chalked up to *things happen*, however, the areas they could control, did nothing to ease the stress of the move. I preface this by stating that the owner of the company, Diego, personally came to our home and assured my husband and myself that his company would do everything to ease the stress of moving, and when specifically asked, stated that he personally would take care of damages if they should occur. These are some of the things that occurred: Pick up was fine, but they kept on pushing up the date of delivery kept on moving up until it was 2 weeks after the pickup. We were told delivery would be between 1 pm and 3 pm. They started to unload at 8 pm and was still unpacking at midnight. At the time of delivery, we knew that an expensive electric fireplace ($1200) inserted into our media center was missing. We were told at the time of delivery, that the box was in the warehouse, and would be delivered to us on the next truck to NC. Three weeks later, we were told that the box was destroyed, and to file a claim with Moving Claims. Weeks went by, and as we unpacked, we realized that other boxes were missing. All our dishes, pots and pans, and sentimental things that we had collected over thirty years. They did reimburse us for dishes and the pots. Communication was very poor. They would not call when they said they would, and then a manager, Andrew, said that I call too much. We paid to replace the fireplace, and we have not reimbursed the money. We filed our claim with Moving Claims, and a few days ago finally received the settlement offer, $50!!! This has been going on since the end of July. I appealed, and today, they offered $80 as the FINAL settlement. Hope this review will help you in choosing a mover.

Quoted low rate to start then it tripled! Also, they sent a truck that was too small and some of our things had to sit in the garage for a week. Thankfully, we had a realtor who handled the second pick up. An antique grandfather clock was dropped and severely damaged. Storage racks that we were told would be reassembled upon move-in, were not. A nightmare of a move! Use anybody other than this company!

Originally everything was fine. I moved from Atlanta to Las Vegas. When I arranged for them to pick it up on the 25th they said to send them a picture to see what the cost was. This was done 6 weeks in advance. When they came to pick it up they told me It was $700 more to crate one piece of furniture which was an all glass stand. I was told that I would receive everything by the 3rd and Still I have no furniture. They are rude and say (didnt you read the contract.) I told them before hand that I needed my furniture by the 5th and they said it was no problem. I am still waiting for my furniture.

Our moving experience with Direct Relocation Services was AMAZING!! From the initial quote to the moving day heads-up call when the movers were en route to our house, to the final delivery the next morning, this company was EXCELLENT. Lizzie, Mike, Kenneth and Tre were friendly, professional, efficient and provided exceptional customer service throughout the entire process. The movers arrived on time at pick-up and drop-off, they were able to accommodate several additional items on the truck ( for a reasonable fee) and not one of our many, many precious and fragile items was broken. It was a perfect move. Thank you!

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a moving company. It took 3 weeks for them to deliver my items. They delivered only half of my belongings and did not call to let me know that all of my items would not fit on the truck. I received many broken items, boxes crushed, and very unprofessional movers. I would not recommend them. They did not communicate well at all. I still have not received a number of items and am sure that I will not ever see those things again. Do not use them.

This is a fourth-rate moving company charging first-rate prices. The scheduler and manager were difficult to communicate with, extremely rude, and not forthcoming with information about where our shipment was stored and when it would be delivered. The manager lost his temper with us on the phone after we called to discuss the issues we had. There was considerable damage to many items, packers were not trained properly (e.g., they packed heavy items in a box on top of lampshades destroying them), they broke an L-shaped desk as well as two glass shelves, they dumped all hanging clothes into wardrobe boxes instead of hanging them on rods, they dented the clothes dryer, they used brown tape directly on wood furniture which is extremely difficult to remove. One crew consisted of a man and his two sons, one 15 and one 20 years old. Would definitely not recommend it.

Very very disappointed about hiring this company. Pick up date: 7/20. Requested delivery date 8/15. Shipment arrival 9/23. Beginning of July 2020: After deciding on a differnet company to use for our move to FL to UT, Direct Relocation Services called us and told us they can â match and beatâ the quote we had with another company and gave us a few hundred dollars off so we decided to use them. They sent us the quote, we signed it and were deciding on a pick up date. We then received a phone call from Richard, telling us that our stuff was more than what they had estimated and wanted to basically get more money from us and he tried sending us a new quote. Not to mention, his way of talking on the phone with my husband was very unprofessional, calling him â buddyâ and saying that he was on his â naughty boys listâ because he was not able to pick up. We were very shocked and my husband called the manager to talk about Richards attitude and unprofessionalism over the phone. Andrew the manager was very helpful at this time, apologized and made sure we wouldn't have to talk to Richard again. Mid July 2020: We received a confirmation email for the pick up date and time, everything was good to go. The guys get to our storage unit a day late and told us after getting there that it would be $1000 more than the original quote. We talked to Andrew again and he ended up giving us a small discount after fighting about this matter. We were first told they would take 2-3 weeks for delivery and we needed our stuff to be delivered on 8/15. They picked up our stuff on 7/20 so that is almost 1 month they have to deliver. We have been telling Maria Gonzalez and Lizzie from DAY ONE we signed the contract that we needed our stuff by then. Lizzie was helpful and let us know we should make our first available delivery day (FADD) earlier so we can receive our items by 8/15 (this was our move in date to our new place), and emailed Maria (she is the schedule coordinator) as soon as Lizzie let us know it would take long for delivery, but never got a response back from Maria. We called a week later again to make sure she was aware but she kept saying we would have to pay more if it delivers before our requested date and we are not there to accept it. Beginning of August 2020: A week before our requested delivery date on 8/6, we asked for an update on where our stuff is and it was still in their warehouse in FL. Maria tells us it would take 2-14 business days after our FADD. At this point our FADD was set to 8/15, so we knew it wouldnt get here till way past that date so that day we changed our FADD to 8/6. But we then found out it was actually 14-21 business days so im not sure why Maria kept promising us 2-14. Mid September 2020 On the contract it says you receive $30/ day if your shipment doesnt deliver within 30 business days from your FADD. We were a few days close to that deadline and we asked about how they pay us the per diem. They never respond in email because they dont want to leave any proof in writing so we had to keep calling for answers. Andrew tried telling us the per diem is $15/ day (no where on the contract does it say this) and he said you only get paid this per diem per BUSINESS day, (no where on the contract does it say that either). After a few days we emailed him again underlining the contract to get clarification, and he replied "Contract doesn't say anything about money except if you purchased a PSG then the per diem would be 30 per dayâ Why would anyone purchase a PSG if delivery could take up to 30 business days? Whats the point of the â Guaranteed Delivery Serviceâ ? The 2 stars is for Lizzie who has been helpful from day one and has always been replying to our emails promptly, and to Andrew who did apologize at the end before we received our stuff and offered to give us some discount for ...

Just as a follow-up to the review written by Adam S. from Miami: My experience working with Direct Relocation Services was mixed. Although the team that picked up my items on Tuesday were thorough with wrapping my items, they were not very considerate of my time after I indicated multiple times that I would be leaving the same day to drive 4 hours north. They started at 10 am and did not finish until 5:30 pm. I was under the impression I would be receiving my items by the following Tuesday but because of a lack of consistent and reliable communication, I was given multiple dates with inconsistent confirmations. After complaining and asking to speak to a supervisor, I discussed my concerns with Andrew. Andrew was helpful in moving around their schedule to try to get my items to me by that weekend and was able to have them delivered on Saturday evening. However, the movers did not take the time to unwrap and put together all the items that were disassembled by them initially. I recognize it was late in the evening, but it was a bit disappointing. When I unpacked my items, there were broken dishes and damage to a large coffee cart that they attempted to repair prior to my receipt. This actually made the damage worse and I had to throw the whole cart away. Andrew was very responsive in addressing my concerns and ensuring the damage was appropriately covered. Although I appreciate the customer service from Andrew and the care the team took when wrapping my items, the cost of the move was not worth the hassle and run around I experienced. I started with an initial quote of $3500 and ended up paying well over $6k. I would expect a better experience for that kind of money.
