They guy was excellent. We looked this company up through Angie's List. We made the appointment through Angie's List and he came out about 10 days later, which I thought was reasonable. He was here about two years ago and has sent me a couple of emails suggesting it is time for a revisit. We have not followed up on them, but we will. Our piano had not been tuned for a long time and he did suggest that he spend a little more time. He did add a little something to it, which we were happy with. It was less than $100. The experience was excellent and the guy knows his stuff. I am going to look him up on my data base. I did not compare him with anyone else but the guy was quite good, that is why I used him for the service. I thought his price was quite reasonable. He came on time and on schedule. He did the job and got the job done. He was a very knowledgeable guy and we were able to talk to him about other things. He told us some other things about other pianos he has had to deal with so he had a wealth of background.

Elian is very fun and engaging - in addition to being a great piano tuner. I noticed the difference immediately after he left - that the sound was much cleaner and more beautiful. He is coming back in six months. I'd recommend him to anyone!

He was wonderful. He was an absolutely terrific tuner, and he did a great job. His qualifications stood out. He was very knowledgeable, and he seemed to be very honest and concerned about the health of the piano, which was good. I don't think he was inexpensive, but I think his price was fair.

Everything went fine. I had to ask them to come back out to fix one thing and they came right out and fixed it.

The piano had not been tuned in five years (for financial reasons.) It is in otherwise good shape. Sounds very good now, although could not be brought up to pitch completely. That's not a factor because the piano is for casual home use only and not to accompany another instrument. He was very clear on what could and could not be done with this piano. Due to changes in my schedule, I had to change the appointment twice. Mr. Degen was extremely responsive and easy to contact. He was on time, professional, and answered all my questions, providing excellent advice. He's a nice gentleman too! I highly recommend this piano tuner.

I took advantage of this company's special featured on Angie's List for $90 piano tune. He promptly contacted me and scheduled a convenient appointment. He called the day of service to confirm his arrival and then again to let me know he was running early and would I be agreeable to him coming earlier. He was pleasant and the piano sounds great! I would use his services again. Prior piano tunes were in the neighborhood of $125-$150 so I felt this was an excellent value.

I play our piano; my husband does not, but since I was unable to be home when Mr. Degen came to tune the instrument, my husband stayed home so that we could have the piano tuned as scheduled. My husband told me Mr. Degen was very pleasant and they had an enjoyable conversation while he was here. Mr. Degen found some issues with our piano, which he took care to explain to my husband, but since Richard knows very little about the instrument, Mr. Degen called me the next day to find out if I was satisfied with his work and to explain the problem he found when he worked on it. He also answered several questions about the piano that I had asked my husband to relay to him. I appreciated his answering these questions and explaining the condition of the instrument. Since he tuned our piano, I have really enjoyed playing it again (it was very much out of tune). I will certainly ask Mr. Degen to tune it again--hopefully, he will offer his coupon again, which makes him very affordable for us. Regardless, I hope Mr. Degen can tune our piano again when it needs it. I have paid more in the past to have it tuned, and was not as satisfied as I am with Mr. Degen's service. I would highly recommend Mr. Degen as a piano tuner. I have confidence in his knowledge and skill in his craft. I have found that it is difficult to find an excellent piano tuner. Mr. Degen is the 5th one we have used. I would say he is by far the best one we have found. I will certainly contact him when our piano needs tuning again.

Piano had not been tuned for 15 or more years. Piano tuner was very nice and very professional. He knew a lot about pianos and talked to me about mine, which he said was still in good shape. He took his time and I am pleased with how the piano sounds now. He did say that I would need to have it tuned again in two to three months, after playing it, because it had been so long since it had been tuned. And the second tuning will cost more, since it won't be an Angie Deal. He was very upfront and honest about that. I will have him come back for the second tuning.

I provided dates that I was available for the service. Mr. Degen confirmed a date other than the ones I proposed. I made arrangements for someone to be home to meet his time schedule. Mr. Degen called early in the day and asked if he could arrive early as another customer requested a time change. I explained that I could not make the change. He said he would keep the appointment but would probably be at the later end of his time range. He arrived right in the middle of his original time range. Once he arrived he complained about the terrible traffic and that he had a headache and did not know if he would be able to complete the tuning. He asked for aspirin which he was provided then questioned that the milligram dose was high enough to take care of his headache. He then began tuning the piano. This piano had not been tuned in over 4 years and was rarely played. He completed the tuning in just under 1 hour and suggested that the piano be used for a while and that he come back for another tuning. When it was explained to him that no one actually played the piano on a consistent basis he said the second tuning was probably a waste of money. This is probably the worst tuning that this piano has ever received. I realize that it has been quite some time since the last tuning, however, from octave to octave there is a substantial difference in pitch. Perhaps his headache hindered his ability to hear the pitch difference? As I was not the person home for the tuning (to accommodate his schedule) I was not able to address this with Mr. Degen at the time. I have not tried to contact Mr. Degen about this issue as we have house guests arriving tomorrow and was hoping the piano would be tuned for their arrival as one of our guests is a pianist.

Elian arrived on time. He was very knowledgeable about how to tune my piano. I have a very old upright piano that has been moved around the country many times. It was considerably out of tune. Elian was able to tune most of the keeys. A few strings need to be replaced and he was able to refer me to someone who could replace them. Elian was very considerate and an excellent worker. We would refer him to anyone who needs this service.

Mr. Degen came to my home to tune my piano which hadn't been tuned in a very long time. He arrived on time and my piano sounds who much better. He pointed out that there were things I could do too make it sound even better but because I don't play much anymore, and the piano is quite old we agreed it wasn't worth the extra expense. I will call him in 6 months to tune again and keep it in shape. I look forward to working with him again and would recommend.

I purchased a coupon for a complete Piano Tuning for my son and daughter-in-law to use after they moved. The owner was very accomodating since I didn't know exactly when the move was going to be completed. It actually took a couple of months for my son to complete some renovations, move in, and then find the time to get the work done. Once they set the date, they arrived on time and the piano sounds beautiful. We will definitely use them for maintenance of our piano.7530

It went well. He was a very nice person. He did his job and he was friendly. He didn't charge me more than the big deal purchase. I had no complaints. The price was fair.
