 + -1 moreExcellent expect for the additional charge that was demanded by Degen. It was not the customer's fault he was not aware of the specific T&C's of the coupon sent out however he would not relinquish the request for the additional funds.
Description of Work: There was misunderstanding regarding the pricing offered by Angie's List according to Degen's Piano. The work performed by Degen seemed to be excellent however I was charged an extra $75.00 and was not told this was occurring until after the work was completed. Mr. Degen was not aware of the ad's contents according to him and it was clear in the ad that the tuning was to be completed as agreed by the coupon/ad. Obviously this disturbed me since he should have brought this up long before he was finished. Other than this issue I believe he did an excellent job and that is why I agreed to pay him the extra funds. Lesson to be learned is to show the coupon to any company prior to doing any work so they fully understand their obligation.

 + -1 moreIt was average. I wouldn't use that provider again. He started interrupting our work because we work from home. He was talking about politics and things. He just did not do the work we needed. It was kind of unusual. They tried to do an add-on. Because the piano was whatever, they said it was maybe $80 more or something. I actually had to upgrade or something and I was like, "No." The price was reasonable. I would not recommend them.

He explained what was required and provided options to either do a more comprehensive tuning all at once or do it slowly over time. He also suggested some instructors in the area as we are new here. I would recommend Degen's Piano, Inc. We intend to hire them again for the next maintenance.

He explained the differences between categories of tuning and obviously mine needed more work because it was not tuned in awhile. He worked on it for two hours and did a thorough job and the piano sounds great now. Will definitely call him again in 6 months without any reservations.
