Description of Work: While it took a while for all of the doors and windows to be ready for installation, when it was time, they were all installed within two days. Our new front door looks beautiful and the windows have significantly reduced the amount of noise from outside.

Description of Work: Replaced all windows and sliding glass doors with Miami-Dade hurricane windows. My sister used and recommended them. Ernie Zager came to the house for initial measure and estimate, was prompt, professional and friendly. His schduling assistant Patty called and was very proofessinoal and accommodating. He later sent his installer, Duke, to remeasure. Duke was also prompt and professional. Windows came in when expected. Duke and Ernest, the installers, spent the last 3 days installing my job. I felt comfortable enough to leave them alone with my dog. They took great care to keep the dog from escaping and left the house clean and locked up every day. The arrived when promised and gave me a lesson in how to operate and maintain the windows. I have never spent this much money on a single home improvement, and feel I am a pretty discriminating customer. I am very pleased, and will highly recommend Ernie Zager and company. Best experience imaginable!

+ -1 moreThey came out on time. They cleaned up well. The windows came in the incorrect size from the factory, which was not their fault. The employees were very pleasant. We got four bids and we chose this company. We would recommend them. The work will be completed next week.

+ -1 moreWe liked the room that was put up, but when it was arranged we can?t sit in that room as the noise on the roof is terrible. I wasn?t happy with that feature. The price and quality were fair. They measured the windows wrong and it took 6 more weeks to get the right window. So their responsiveness wasn?t too good.

+ -1 moreI liked how Mr. Zager himself came out to do the estimate. He was very knowledgeable, and I just liked working with him. The windows are great, and the installer was really terrific. There wasn't any mess, they cleaned up superbly after themselves.
Description of Work: They installed all new windows in my house. They removed the old windows and replaced them with new. It took them a couple of days from the time they started the work to when it was completed.

+ -1 moreI thought it was unprofessional in how they handled not even giving me prices, or at least options for windows that they would have been able to work with. I did not have the budget to afford replacement hurricane proof windows, and I believe that the bulk of their business lies there, not in providing shutters for windows. But I found this contractor as an approved contractor via the MySafeFloridaHome contractor list for window shutters, so I thought that they might at least bid on the job.
Description of Work: I had a Windows by Zager sales person come to our home to give an estimate for hurricane shutters. We have several windows that are "problem" ones, with radius's above them and sometimes without enough space around them to make applications like accordion shutters possible. The sales person did not give me prices at the time of the sales call. He was supposed to email me prices, but never did so. When I tried contacting the firm by phone, I was told that our job was just to difficult to engineer and that they would not be able to work with our windows.

+ -1 moreExcellent **** stars. Quality of the windows is excellent, installation was on time and VERY professional. Two man installation crew was very meticulous, very neat, and were in and out in a day. Explained the different windows operating features, demonstrated installing the storm panels on the rear windows. We have used this company before with a screen room project and continue to be a most satisfied customer. I highly recommend the company!
Description of Work: Twelve energy efficient low E glass windows, hurricane/impact resistant windows. Zager removed and disposed of the old windows and roll down shutters.

+ -1 moreMetal panels were delivered and installed in November of 2005, however, we are still waiting on the remaining clear panels. We have phoned several times and are told they are waiting on their supplier, however after all this time it seems professional customer service would dictate a)respond to our calls without us having to phone repeatedly and/or b)reach out to us first to provide a regular status, and/or c)ditch their supplier who is not helping their business in any way and offer a compromise so we actually have protection for the '06 season (more than a year after we signed a contract.) If they would bother to return our calls, we'd ask them to cancel the clear panels and try again elsewhere however it's a good bet that the contract is structured to not allow that flexibility for the consumer. The good news is that we are only out our 25% down payment (so far).

+ 0 moreTHE COMPANY HAS A VERY POOR SERVICE DEPARTMENT. ONCE THE WINDOWS AND DOORS WERE INSTALLED IT TOOK MANY, MANY PHONE CALLS TO GET THINGS CORRECTED. IT HAS BEEN A COUPLE OF YEARS NOW AND I AM STILL TRYING TO GET MY DOOR FIXED RIGHT. IT IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY.
Description of Work: WE HAD ALL THE OLD CRANK STYLE WINDOWS REMOVED AND REPLACE, A DOOR WAS TAKEN OUT AND A WINDOW WAS INSTALLED AND WE HAD A SLIDING GLASS DOOR REPLACED. IT IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY.
