They installed a used outlet instead of a new one and it was installed crooked. The cover plate was loose after they were done with the work. I wasn't too impressed with them and would not recommend them in the future. We were supposed to have them for 2 hours and they were only here for an hour and a half, so they did not fulfill their entire committment. I was very disappointed and we are having someone else come out and fix it.

They didn't contact me within two business days. I tried to contact them today and just got voicemail. In looking at other reviews on Angie's List, it appears that I'm not the only one having this problem.

We were very satisfied with the service. He had to go quite a ways to get the part and he did not charge extra for that and that pleased me quite a bit. We were happy with the price. They were responsive as well.

Learned provider had an out of town emergency after I sent a text to him when he did not show up for appointment advising that I had waited two hours, and requested a refund. He returned my text via voicemail explaining an emergency and he didn't have my number to let me know. He told me he would reschedule at my convenience. Because I had already had trouble connecting with him previously, I got someone else because I needed the work that day or the next to avoid delay on a remodeling project. I have not followed up since. I do not want to give a bad review over a circumstance that seemed to be out of the providers control, but I believe a refund is in order, and, again, I have not heard from the provider. He has my number...he left a voicemail. He has my address... It was in the text he responded to. This provider has good reviews. Perhaps "big deals" are non refundable? I probably won't purchase another one because prepaying for a service was not a good experience for me.

Top Notch did a great job at a fantastic price! I purchased the Angie's List Special -Two hours of certified electrical work for $99.00. I spoke with Bill, the owner of the company, and scheduled the work to be done two days later. Bill sent Dale out to do the work. Dale arrived and went straight to work. He was polite and professional at all times. Dale took down and replaced three fans (including one that was attached on a high cathedral ceiling) during the two hours. I still had one outside fan to be installed and two outlets that needed to be fixed so Dale agreed to do that work while he was here for an additional $85.00. So, for less than $200 I got four fans and two outlets done. Dale even took the old fans away for me. I am very happy with the service I got from Top Notch and I will continue to use them when I need electrical work done. Oh, and yes, do call Bill on the phone to set up any appointments!

This was really a great experience and a great company. I bought a Big Deal for $75 to install a ceiling fan. I was contacted in the morning of the appointment to confirm. They arrived on time and finished very quickly. They were professional, polite, clean and a joy to have in my house. I would, without a doubt, have this company do any other electric work for me in the future. I only have one tip - they prefer to be contacted by phone rather than by email. Once I realized this, this company was everything I wanted and more.

I purchased an Angie’s List Big Deal for this service and it was excellent. My deal was for $89, but I spent about $200 for additional service. They were very, very good. I bought the Big Deal knowing I had a lot of work to be done in the house so I bought it intending to give them a try on a smaller job. I was very pleased with them and immediately hired them to do much more extensive work. I bought the coupon and scheduled them that day; they came the next day. Their responsiveness and professionalism caused me to hire them for the bigger project; which cost about $2,000.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went good. They did a good job. I paid an additional amount because there was a bunch of other things that we needed them to do. The guy in charge was just really good at explaining what was going on, what needed to be done, made sure you understood what he could and can do, what needed permits and what didn't. He has very good communication and made sure you understood what needed to happen. He was competitive. He wasn't the cheapest but I think he was really good. He really knew what he was doing and understood how to get things done.

I was happy with the performance and professionalism of the men who performed the installation. I would definitely use Top Notch Electric in the future.

It went great! These guys even showed up in a monstrous storm to work. They did a great job, were very efficient, and gave us quotes on future work. The service was performed professionally and in a timely manner. We will definitely use them again for electrical work needed in our home. Thanks!!

My experience with them was good. They came when they were supposed to. The price was good although they were very competitive. I called another company and they were both right at the same price. It was just that these people could come when I needed them there.

I purchased the "Big Deal" for Troubleshooting And Repair Of one Household Electrical Issue. I scheduled an appointment for the following day. The appointment was for 1pm. At 1:30 I called the provider and they seemed to have not realized the time - apologized and said they would be right out. Arrived approximately 20 minutes later. I showed them the ceiling fan/light and explained that when turned on at the switch the light flickers, but when turned on by the pull cord it does not. The electrician did some troubleshooting with the switch but ultimately said we would just have to replace the fan/light. Since the deal was supposed to include the fixing of a single issue (nothing was repaired, just troubleshooted), I felt that it hadn't been a good value. However, I understand that they are not able to repair everything (although I thought a light/fan would have been something they could) so I did not complain. Instead l thought I would get value from the deal by having them quote adding under cabinet lighting in my kitchen (since they were already there anyway). The electrician looked at a few things and said that he would talk to his boss about getting a quote done and get back to me. They have not contacted me since.

I bought an Angie's List-Big Deal for 2 hours of electrical service for $99. They scheduled the work on the day after I first contacted them and arrived on time. We had just had the exterior of our house painted and wanted to replace the exterior lights at the same time. It was a straight forward, simple job since I had already purchased the lights and they didn't have to do any rewiring, etc. I was pleased with their promptness and professionalism. The lights look great.

THEY ARRIVED ON TIME -THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE PLUG ON THE ELECTICAL CORD AND THEY HAD TO RUN OUT AND PURCHASE A REPLACEMENT. THEY DID THAT AND FINISHED THE JOB IN A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME. I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN AS I NEED ANOTHER FAN REPLACED.

Bill and his team are a pleasure to work with on all of my electrical projects. I have an older home with various small projects that are difficult to complete and they do a great job every time. Their service work included getting an electrical outlet working that hasn't worked since I've owned the home (five years). They had to crawl under the house and figure out the problems with this outlet. they also relocated electrical outlets and resolved an exterior motion light that was installed incorrectly by another subcontractor. I have used them on large remodeling projects and small service work and every time it is a great experience of quality work by true professionals.

The job went very well. Two men arrived on time, they were very well mannered, professional and did their job well. My wife and I were verry happy with their work.

It ended up just fine, however got off to a rocky start. I spoke with the owner on Monday and he made an appointment for Wednesday at 9AM - no one came. When I called, I was told he made a mistake and it should have been for Thursday. So, he ended up coming the next day,Thursday, and at that point all went well. The owner came with 2 apprentices and all was done quickly. I was charged for supplies needed for the job which I understood would be the case.

They repaired two overhead light fixtures and installed a ceiling fan.

Wired microwave that our contractor left undone. Installed numerous ceiling fans. Ugraded our hard wired smoke alarm system Installed chandelier lights. Installed outside lights attaced to two buildings. Upgraded porch wiring and did an overall excellent job.

I called the owner on Monday and they were able to come on Tuesday. They were to arrive at 9 however the employee was ill but the owner called me before the service call to tell me they would try to fit me in later if I was OK with that. I had guest arriving so I was pleased that they were able to fit me in. They arrived at 3, the owner, his nephew and another man. All were very polite and very pleasant to deal with. They charged me what they had estimated and did a very good job. The task was not difficult so the fact they they did a good job did not surpirise me. I was however pleasantly surprised .with the following. Some of the other companies I contacted with excelllent rating on Angies List refused to give me an estimate of the cost of the job. I asked them to put in two ceiling fans and install a bathroom light. Bill, the owne,r gave me an estimate for all the work. Other companies on Angies List charged up to 60 dollars to come out and estimate the cost of the job. One company told me since I was on Angies List they would substract the cost of the travel from the final bill. Bill, the owner did not charge me a travel fee. .In addition the estimated cost was less that what others had estimated ( those who were willing.). The final charges were 75 to install each ceiling fan and 25 to install a ceiling fan remore and fix the bathroom light that was already there for a total of 250. They also adjusted the wall switches to accomodate the fans. They cleaned us after themselves.

Dale was courteous, informative, and very personable. He informed us of his actions as he performed his work. Once he completed, he made the rounds again to make sure that all the mess was cleaned and the outlet covers and lights were put back in place. We will call on Top Notch for all our electrical needs for our little apartment complex.

In a nut shell, I called Bill about the Big Deal. He said that I may or may not have more then two hours of electrical work that needs to be done. He quoted me $200+ over the phone and wanted to work a deal out on the side because he didn't want to share any money with Angie's List since my work may or may not have fit the Big Deal offer. It was a bait switch type of offer. I called him three times Wednesday-Friday and each time he said he would call me back within 10-15 minutes. Bill never called me back till the following Monday. He gave me the estimate during the first call but never confirmed anything till the following monday. Overall I did not have a good experience with him.
