Description of Work: Although I had no need for electrical work per se, I offered rep the option of converting wood burning fireplace to electric. He said he had never done this before, but the suggestions he offered would clearly not produce the end result I sought. Decided to switch to gas fireplace, which was supplied by Advanced Gas. They did a superlative job with establishing gas line and installing actual fireplace logs (purchased separately).

Description of Work: he never even contacted me and when I called in and left a voice message, he never even returned my call.

Description of Work: Pulled two plugs and a switch forward in kitchen wall after new back splash was put up. I paid for the big deal on 9/19/2013 and never heard from him until after I called and left message and then called again.

Description of Work: We have a condo down in Florida that we renovated. We used Top Notch for the electrical work.

Description of Work: I called 7/26 left a voice mail. 7/28 -received a return call, made appointment for 8/2. I called on 8/1 to confirm and left a voice mail. I never heard back nor did anyone show up on 8/2. I called again on 8/20 - Bill didn't recall the conversation, yet stated he had returned my call back in July. Said he would come by that night after an emergency call, worse case tomorrow (because i needed to leave at 5PM) but would call that night to let me know if he could make it by 5. I never heard from him that night nor the next day until 8/21 at 5:24PM. Informed me he had another emergency and would be by later that night or call if it got late, and be by in the morning. I never heard from him that night, nor did he show up this morning (8/22) as he stated. Haven't heard from him at all yet (3PM). I have been more than patient, but realize this is a reflection of his work and request a refund.

Description of Work: Top Notch Electric failed to respond within the time frame promised so I cancelled my order. I will not use them again.

Description of Work: Finished wiring ceiling fan, rewired dimmer switch, and took down old tracked lighting...all within an hour

Description of Work: I bought the Big Deal on line on Thursday and called Friday. He asked where I lived and said he didn't service this area. I called Angie's List and they said they would refer this to the Big Deal department so they could find another provider and I would receive an e-mail in 24 hours. I didn't receive an e-mail, so I called for a refund. The Top Notch gentlemen was very nice. And, I can understand. Should list regions that they don't go to so people understand.

Description of Work: Top Notch was called because two of my ceiling fans stopped working. The one in my bedroom made a popping sound one night, and I turned it off, afraid that it was a safety hazard. The fan in the living room also decided that it had exceeded its time as well. Because I am disabled, I had asked them to call me prior to my appointment, to make sure that I was home, and to make sure that I was ready for them to come out (they were coming from St. Petersburg, and that is a long drive.) The did make the call and told me they would be here in 1 hour and 30 minutes. To the minute, they arrived. They were respectful of my home, and me too. They put together the fans, and they did the installations in record time. I took pictures of the work and sent it to my husband (who was out of town at the time). The fans look beautiful. They put out more breeze than the old hunter fans.
