BAD!!!!

the last time I moved, I paid $1,500 and another company broke some stuff. This time with reliable, I paid $970 and they broke nothing. they movers were on the ball!

The move itself went very well. I found that the original price was very fair. I was just upset that I was charged $190 without my being informed that this would be the case if I decided to reschedule.

I hired Reliable Movers to move my household furniture in Largo. The distance was approx. ten miles, from one ranch-style house to another. Reliable sent two men (PJ and Steve), and a truck. They showed up on-time, and loaded my stuff on the truck in approx. one hour, and did the unload in slightly less time. They showed great care w/my things. Even though I don't have any antiques or highly valuable furniture they used furniture pads to protect the wooden furniture, and packed everything tightly in the truck. Everything was unloaded in perfect shape. PJ and Steve moved: a king-size bed and bedroom set, a full-size bed and dresser, a living room set, computer desk and file cabinet, gas grill, patio furniture, and some boxing equipment. They even moved a 32" CRT (tube) TV from my guest room that I had totally forgotten about, w/o a problem. Reliable Movers also provided two clothes boxes (wardrobes) to help empty my closet. PJ and Steve were great movers: hard workers, speedy, professional, and friendly. I installed bamboo flooring in my new house before moving in, and wanted to use felt pads under my furniture to protect the floors. PJ and Steve were very patient w/me, and helped me out by keeping the furniture on the dollies so I could put the pads on the furniture feet before putting the pieces down. To me, this was something they did not have to do, a small detail to some, but huge to me. PJ and Steve completed the move in exactly the amount of time estimated by the office staff that took my reservation. My total bill met the estimate to the dollar. The hourly rate for Reliable Movers was very competitive w/the other movers I called, if not slightly cheaper. The fact that they completed my move in the timeframe estimated, moved all my things w/care, and did the little extras garner them an A in my book. I would definitely use Reliable Movers again, and recommend them to others.

Right from the start I knew that Reliable Movers was going to be a good company to work with. Although they were able to provide an estimate on the phone, I requested a home visit for a more accurate estimate. Steve Strange came to assess the move and he gave me an estimate. He explained that the move could not cost more than the estimate (as some moving companies have done to me in the past). I was very pleased to know that. The day before the move Steve called to coordinate and to make sure I had enough boxes. He also asked how many wardrobes I would need so the movers would bring them along with them on moving day. He told me he was sending his best crew. Promptly at 8:15AM on Monday the crew arrived - Sanni, Antoine, and Frank. These guys were magnificent. They had everything on the truck in two hours. The truck then went to the warehouse where it held over until the next morning. The crew left at 3AM in the morning so that they would be here at 9AM the next day. This crew was considerate and responsive to my concerns. I have a lot of artwork and fragile items and they were very careful with those things. They were just so pleasant, nice and efficient. When a scratch on a table leaf was pointed out to Sanni, he showed us that this was an old scratch and then proceeded to make it disappear - that's was beyond the call of duty! Then before they left, they asked if everything was where we wanted it because we might as well use them while they were here. I recommend this company wholeheartedly and would definitely use them again for my next move. They deserve the highest rating that anyone can receive.

The overall experience was just excellent with them. We had one problem, but it was not their fault. I highly recommend them and they did a wonderful job. They were on time and did what they said they were going to do. I really liked them a lot.

I contacted Reliable because of the reports on Angie's List. I spoke with Steve and he was very helpful and descriptive of the services his guys provide. They showed up on time, early afternoon, after moving another client. I asked them to move all of the furniture and any boxes we had packed before they were done. Steve estimated the job would take six to seven hours. We were completely unpacked in 4 1/2 hours. We have no damage to any of the items that were moved and no scratches or dings on the walls of either home. Watching the guys move my big leather couch to the upstairs game room made me happy I chose to hire them as opposed to moving everything by myself. The crew was in a good mood, had a great attitude and worked hard. They did not take brakes, even though I thought they should have sat down once or twice. Well worth the cost, which was lower than some estimates I received.

We had a local move on a short notice. I was moved on the day Hurricane Faye was suppose to hit Tampa. It did not hit, it did not even rain. We did work out a plan with the movers if it did rain. My move went off without any major problems. They moved the heavier items from one 2 story house to another 2 story house about 3 miles apart. 3 men showed up promptly and moved all of the agreed upon items in 2.5 hours less than estimated. They used much care and were very careful of protecting my belongings. I did still end up with one broken picture frame glass and a new crack on the mirror of my china cabinet. Minor issues in compassion to the number of heavy items to move up and downstairs. The stairwell at the new house was more narrow and I did end with some scratches on the freshly painted walls. Once again, we are overall very pleased with their works and even tipped all three movers. One thing that impressed me the most is that they did this move in about 6.5 hours and did not even take a lunch break.

The folks at Reliable Moving were prompt and professional from start to finish. Even when we had to adjust our scheduled move ahead one day with very little notice, they were flexible and responsive and worked hard to see that our needs were met. Every time I called, there was someone at the phone ready to help me. They returned calls when they said they would, arrived on time, and quoted me a rate well below the other companies I received estimates from. In the end, the move rate was only $10 off from what was quoted me. The moving team were a pleasure to work with. Even though our new location was a bit difficult, they never complained and were consistent in their pleasant attitudes and diligent work efforts. I cannot say enough good things about these guys. I would recommend them to anyone and will definitely use them again in the future.

They professional packed everything in our house for us. They were very professional. They showed up on time to our home. It took them two days to pack it all up. It took about five guys to do the job.

I first contacted Welcome Home Storage in Belleair via email, thinking that they also did moving. I received a courteous email reply from the owner of that company, stating that they only provided storage and relocation services, but did not actually move the items. However, she recommended Reliable Movers as a good company with whom her company frequently worked. So, I checked out Reliable via their website, and saw that they had won Small Business Of The Year 2004, then sent an email for information, specifying my large, heavy items to be moved (I planned to do the rest myself), and asking how long it might take, a ballpark estimate of costs, scheduling concerns, etc. I received a prompt, courteous email reply from Ms. Donna Frelong, answering all of my questions. I checked out some other companies, but decided to try Reliable. One thing I specifically wanted was a small truck - I didn't have that much to be moved, and I wanted to minimize the impact on my new neighbors at the condo community. On the day of the move, the small but adequate truck arrived right on time, with 2 men. They were courteous and had a professional appearance (moving is a tough job!). One man explained the paperwork to me and had me initial the start time. They listened to my direction, including warnings of a futon bed that had to be held a certain way to keep it from unfolding itself. They quickly got the truck loaded, then followed me the short distance to the new location. The truck fit perfectly into the guest spot so that I didn't have to worry about blocking anyone else's space. They very quickly got the items unloaded, up the flight of stairs, and into my new place, asking politely where each piece should go. When finished with the actual work, they took care of the paperwork/payment (I used a credit card, which had already been pre-approved through the office, since the move was on Sat. when the office was closed). I was very pleased with the service, except I regretted that I hadn't had them take a few more things. I was trying to plan based on the email estimate I was given. They have a 1-hour min. fee (along with travel time and fuel surcharge), and it only took about 45 min., so I could have had them take a couple more awkward items. But, that's my fault, not theirs. I know that I was given an estimate on the conservative side, because, if it took longer than what I'd been told to expect, and therefore cost more, that would upset me, but, if it took a shorter time, and cost less, that would be better - and, that's what happened. If I'd been smart, I would have had a couple more items lined up ready, and then see how the time was running - then, I could always add those in. Live and learn - it worked out OK. The big, heavy items like TV and futons were whisked up the stairs and set down gently in their new places. Later, the company even sent a survey to ask how they had done. I replied very favorably.

Willy and Ali were fantastic! They brought garment boxed with them for me to pack the closet while they did their thing. They were so careful and quick. It was a real pleasure to have them move me. They were very professional and polite. I will be using this company again.

George and Joey were very professional. My estimate was for $803. It appeared I was not quoted the price for wrapping and boxing the 2 glass items I had that I had told them needed to be boxed. I was not quoted an overnight fee either, but I paid both. It appears better quoting is needed. It was still a fair price for the job.
