Reliable Movers & Storage

Beyond my expectations. All 3 guys were incredibly efficient, pleasant mannered and hard working. Donna, from the office, was also efficient in setting everything up and when I had to make changes she was incredibly understanding. I would highly recommend this outfit to anyone looking at moving.

I used them the second time. I loved them, I should have used them the first time. I ended up with 2 moves because I wasn’t sure I was going to bring some things over, wasn’t sure they were going to fit. I’m downsizing, so I had them come get the rest of it.

All the workers were polite, helpful, and meant the best. However, We had to change the date because the truck caught fire. No compensation. Did not wrap any of the furniture. Small scratches on everything.

Pleasant, courteous, quick, thorough, careful. Professional!! All the breakables we wanted packed were taken care of with great care the day before and then three men came right on time on moving day and in a surprisingly short time has us packed up. The unpacking at our destination was done with equal care and things were placed just where we asked. Nothing was broken or marred or lost. We could not have asked for a better experience.

It was terrible. Outside of the fact that quite a few things never made it to the new place, they left at least 6 trips worth of stuff for me to move myself. This included two mirrors behind doors, a shower curtain, all of the pans in my oven, and a lot of cleaning supplies. All of the items in the refrigerator were left. A nice set of place mats never made it to my new home.

The men arrived on time, as scheduled. Before we started the process I wanted to confirm a few details. Although, the mover came across as careless and inconsiderate when they didn't want to answer my questions. In addition, one guy rudely told me to get out of the way, while I was explaining special instructions for certain items. The three guys were quick and finished the job under the estimated amount of time. Subsequently, they damaged and broke several items, as a result of their carelessness. This could have been avoided, if they valued their quality of work verses quantity of time working. It would have been appreciated, if they took the time they needed to carefully move my belongings without recklessly damaging my items. Once we arrived to my home, the movers said, they couldn't put the bed together because they didn't have the hardware. Then they accused my last moving company of losing them. Shortly, after the movers left I started unpacking and immediately found the hardware taped to bedpost, exactly where I said it was. In total, they broke five dresser drawers, two vases, damaged the coffee table and three paintings. In addition, I'm missing approximately 6 support beams that I need, in order to put the bed together. All beams were together and accounted for, prior to this move. The bed is useless without these support beams; I'm essentially forced to buy a new bed. When I called the company, the lady was rude and said that her movers are not responsible for any damaged or broken items! In regards to the missing items, she promised to to call me back after she spoke with the moving guys. Almost a week has gone by and no one from their office has returned my call! Her unprofessional demeanor, started to make me question the credibility of this company. Afterwards, I looked at the carbon copy of my moving contract to see if I could find another contact number. This is when I noticed the mover overcharged me! I really want to believe it was an honest mistake; however based on, how the company has neglected to respond to these issues, is making me question if this is common practice for them. There are better moving companies out there, I've used them before; there's no reason to settle for poor quality movers, such as Reliable Movers. Unfortunately, due to last minute scheduling, my options were limited. I never would have used Reliable Movers, if I knew this could happen with them. Save you're self the headache and go with a different company. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. It's ironic the provider is named 'Reliable Movers', considering they were reckless with my belongings.

This is our second time using this company in the last 7 1/2 months; we chose them again this time due to our great experience with them the first time. Our movers this time, Antwuan (the driver), Sam and PJ, were absolutely terrific! They were pleasant, hard working and very professional. They were wearing company t-shirts which at two locations they asked permission to remove so they could move wearing the tank tops underneath their t-shirts, as it was very warm; I was happy to comply with that request - very impressed that they were professional enough to ask! They all had great attitudes despite the fact that the second stop (the condo) was quite a challenge -- they were repeatedly delayed due to having to share the elevators at the condo development with other movers, painters, etc. who were working elsewhere in the building that same morning. (This resulted in our move requiring additional time/money through no fault of the moving company or movers - the additional time/money was completely fair). Re: our belongings - they were extremely careful with everything and we had no damage whatsoever. Like the first move with them, this second move was also a great experience and we would definitely use them again.

I liked them, they were good and earlier than what they were supposed to be. They worked good together and quick. There were just 2 guys. I didn't have to do anything, which was good for me because I had to keep my father out of the way so he wouldn't be confused. They were really quick and were done in about 3 hours. I didn't have to pay for anything. They were good all the way around.

When you call you deal directly with the owner. He worked with me setting up the workers and they cam out right on time and they did excellent work.

Loading and unloading went well; golf clubs were missing on arrival which took several weeks to recover.

Rep Laura Prather was very responsive and helpful in coordinating the move and finding the best carrier for the job. Two of their very professional and personable movers packed the household...they were humorous, efficient, careful and very fast. There was a significant amount of glassware and also some antiques involved. The whole shipment was then palletted at their warehouse. All arrived safely with the exception of a couple of table legs; however, the company was also very responsive and fair about the necessary repair costs. I used them a second time to move a grand piano and again was happy with their knowledge and care of a valuable instrument.

I thought they were great and everything was great. The price was lesser than I had planned.

Everything went well. They did the job exactly as expected.

Reliable left my client in a terrible bind.

They were fast and professional. They helped us move once and the second time they helped us move furniture from our house to the garage because we had our floors redone. It is fast service and reliable.

When we were concerned about the price, they gave us another option to help cut costs. They were extremely helpful in guiding us through the process of this alternative way to move. The movers and packers were very friendly, helpful ,punctual and professional. When we got to our new location, we did find a few things that were broken that they said would be protected.

The three gentlemen were stronger than they looked, very organized, very polite, and worked quickly. It was done faster than I expected and under budget. I would use them again and again.

They arrived a few minutes early. There were three very courteous and professional young men who were able to coordinate the loading of the truck very efficiently. They worked very quickly and did not waste any time or effort, which was appreciated as the job was priced by the hour. The team leader was named Sean and he is a take charge type of guy. I had already moved the lighter items myself and they had only heavy things to move. I followed the truck to the new house where it was unloaded and the appliances from that house were picked up and moved to the old house. The job could not have gone any smother. I strongly recommend this company. My only regret was that I had spent so much time and effort moving the lighter items myself before hiring these movers.

The men arrived on time and actually had more work to do than was originally agreed upon as I had gotten sick and was unable to pack all the boxes I said I would pack. No complaint. They just jumped in and got it done, moved everything and unloaded. There were two small occurences, an outside cracked tile at the old house and a box dropped on the new house's stairs leaving a chip. Both problems were rectified in a couple of days by people that were obviously professional tilers and wood/furniture finishers. You cannot tell anything happened. All this and they came $200.00 under estimate. I personally recommend these guys. If you use Angie's list know this company is first rate to me.

They were okay. They came in right at the quote they gave us. They were college guys and I was expecting a little more professionalism but they unloaded our stuff and didn't break anything in the process. Overall it was positive.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. PERSON THAT I SPOKE TO HIRE THIS COMPANY SAID SHE WILL SEND A BIG TRUCK AND 3 GUYS AND THAT THE JOB WILL TAKE 2 TO 3 HOURS. THEN THEY SENT 2 GUYS WITH A MEDIUM TRUCK. THESE 2 GUYS REFUSED TO DO THE JOB AND SENT 2 OTHER GUYS WITH A BIGGER TRUCK 2 HOURS LATER. THE INITIAL QUOTE WAS FOR 2 OR 3 HOURS AND THEY SPENT 6 HOURS AND HALF. BECAUSE THEY WERE TIRED SINCE MY HOUSE WAS THE THIRD MOVING HOUSE THAT THEY WERE DOING THAT DAY. BUT THE WORST WAS THAT I CALLED THE MANAGER OR PERSON THAT SPOKE WITH ME IN THE FIRST PLACE 2 DAYS LATER SPOKE WITH HER. GIVE HER MY COMPLAIN AND SHE SAID SHE WILL REVIEW WHAT HAPPEN AND CALL ME BACK ... AND 2 MONTHS LATER I AM STILL WAITING FOR HER CALL. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. WITH THE FIRST CREW AND THE MANAGER FOR NOT TAKING CARE OF HER COSTUMERS. MY FINAL BILL $660 AFTER SHE QUOTED ME 200 TO 300 THE MOST.

They arrived on time, introduced themselves, assessed what needed to be moved, then worked quickly and efficiently to get the job done. I pointed out some items that were "fragile," to which the crew leader said "OK.... but for us, everything is fragile." They finished quicker than estimated, which means I spent less than expected for the move. My only gripe would be the non-negotiable "fuel surcharge," which competitors may charge as well. They moved me a mile down the street and insisted that I had to pay charge a fuel surcharge. This was disclosed in advance, so I was not surprised. However, it doesn't make sense to me. Why not just raise their rates or base it the surcharge on the distance of the move?

This company needs to change it's name to Unreliable Movers. It took 3 men almost two hours longer than it did 2 men to move the same items three years ago. Multiple pieces of furniture, antiques, and technical equipment were damaged by carelessness. Protective blankets should have been used to keep sweat off my furniture and prevent unnecessary scratches and discoloring. When I suggested they wash up before handling my belongings, I was informed, "I'm clean... it's just sweat". I don't want my sweat dripping on my things much less that of another. I do not understand why they wasted so much time complaining about the elevator or the size and weight of items when I expected professionals who were being paid for a service. They offered to put bed-frames, etc... together for me, but I can do the work faster than they could. Shouldn't they have been tested for knowledge of left vs right and front vs back prior to hiring? In the end, I just wanted them out of my place ASAP. Although very careful to inform me of extra charges for travel and gas, they forgot to mention an add-on for using credit cards. I received a follow-up phone call the next day but was unable to return it immediately. Upon explaining how disappointed I was and why, I was told Donna would be in touch the following day to take care of the problems. It's been over a week and no call from her. I do not recommend Reliable Movers not will I use them again.

The movers were phenomenal in that not a single scratch on any furniture or any wall. I had a lot of heavy, expensive furniture so that was very impressive. On the down side they were fairly expensive, and late in showing up on both moves (4-6 hours late). They did get the job done on each day and the quality made up for the other issues as the most important thing to me was to make sure nothing was damaged.

Reliable was the first of 6 moving companies I contacted to call me back and had the best rate. They were great at adjusting when we had a change in our plans. The crew was punctual and very professional, even offering bits of advice for our next move. They were easy to communicate with and were very intuitive. We would use them again in a heartbeat, but hopefully we wont be moving any time soon!!!! My only complaint is the guy's truck didnt have AC or a heat shield so they were HOT driving the 1 1/2hr drive. I felt so bad for them. They never complained about it but it was evident when they arrived that they had not been able to cool off at all.
