Precision Overhead Garage Door

Our garage doors were very noisy, had aging hardware, and would sometimes fail to close. The technician arrived as expected, examined the doors, and recommended additional replacement items due to aging which we thought made sense. The repairs were made quickly and professionally and the results were excellent; the doors are now quiet and function like new. We highly recommend Precision Overhead Garage Door and will call on them again.

Garage door spring broke with door down and car still in garage. Precision's tech showed up, as promised, within a hour of my call. He gave me an estimate of work recommended to fix my problem and work "suggested" to improve the door's performance (my option). With an hour after I made my selection of fixes, he had the door operational.

I purchased an Angie's List deal for a tune-up and new rollers for $100 and I knew that there would be more costs involved since the door hadn't been serviced since it was installed most likely (2001). Turned out the spring was in such bad shape that it wouldn't hold the door up at any level and would just slam down if allowed. Certainly not good. Anyway, John gave us a couple options for a new spring and we went with the more expensive one since it had a 7 year warranty on it. He installed new rollers and also a new bottom door seal which was just hanging on by one side and apparently wasn't even the right one for the door! He was great and worked hard for quite a while. Overall we are very happy with the service and will use again for any garage door issues.

They seemed honest. They were on time. They did their job quickly. They made suggestions and recommendations. They cleaned up after the job. It was an all day job and they kept me informed as it went on.

Very professional technician, knew what he was doing and accomplished the work in a timely manner. The garage door has never worked this quiet. It is 13 years old with same motor and chain drive.

One service wasn't that good but I also had him replace my garage door afterwards. The one that I got from Angie's list wasn't really satisfactory but you know overall worked out well. At this time I can't be critical against them because the garage door that I had that the time was in pretty bad shape. I actually had it replaced by the same company and so far it seems like they did a good job. It was done within a day. He removed the old one and replaced the new one.

I had purchased a big deal for the service, and it was great. Everything was fine. They came out the same week, and there were no additional charge. They were quick, and they were great. There were no issues at all. The garage door is working well.

Unlike some of the other Angie List recommended garage door Companies; It went great.....Great tech with good experienced and knew his stuff; very professional. Easy Company to deal with; they do what they say when they say they will do it.

Everyone from the office staff to the technician was courteous and professional. They were able to schedule me for the next day and arrived on time. The tech performed the work purchased through the Angie's List deal and then recommended additional work without any pressure. My garage door operates smoothly now, and the weather strip looks great. He took the extra time to pad one side of the strip to make sure a dip in my driveway doesn't allow critters to enter. Although I was happy with the initial $89 fee that covers the maintenance and weatherstrip, the follow-on work for $150 seemed a little high. However, I don't have anything to compare it to, so I rated them as "NA" on price and "A" otherwise.

The sales cycle included interviewing 4 potential providers. Precision was by far the best in knowledge and equipment. Door was a special order and came in on time and installed timely. A single installer was sent to do the work. Took 4+ hours to do a job that could have been done in less than half the time by two. The wood molding above the door was damaged and will need to be repaired. The job site was not cleaned of debris including many sharp screws. The door works well as does the opener.

When opening the garage door, a set of hinges snapped one panel as well as several rollers causing half the door to hang down to the garage floor. I called Precision Overhead Garage Door just before 7:30am and they had someone at my house by 8:30am. The technician, Blake, who came out was wonderful. He took the time to assess the door and put together a number of options. When he was done, he went over all the options and answered all my questions. He did not pressure me into having any work done that I did not need or want. All work was completed quickly and with attention to detail. Blake then walked me thru everything that was done. I was very impressed with both the response and quality of the service and the repair. I will continue to use them for any future needs.

After submitting my on-line request, I immediately received an e-mail from the company indicating they would contact me within one hour if the request is submitted during normal business hours. My request was submitted at 8:30 am on Friday, February 20. I received a call back from the company on Tuesday, February 24 at 9:30 am. Given the lack of responsiveness of the company, I contacted another highly rated Angie's List service provider who had already performed the services by the time Precision called me back. I informed the Precision service representative about the delay and the fact I had already had the work performed by another company. The reply I received was an "oh well' response, including an explanation that the on-line system is on a "different system" and they were just "getting around" to responding to on-line inquiries. Precision receives very high grades from Angie's List reviewers, but I would call them directly rather than rely on communicating with them through their website.

They were there within the frame of time they promised, assessed the situation and gave me an estimate. They completed the work quickly, were paid and left.

I have an old door and the tech figured a way to modify his product to work on my door.

Update 3/13/2015 when this provider saw my write up in Angie's List and refunded my cost of the previous visit. This is a company that stands by their customers. When the second company came out their technician told me that the springs were loose and he needed to tighten them. He did and the door lifted well at that time. I do need to replace the motor and rail but I didn't need to pay the $425.00 for new springs.

It went well. They are very open to consumer questions, and were very helpful.

Craig was great. Nothing but great things to say. I paid a little more than I thought I would but there was no pressure and the work needed to be done.

They were good and I would use them again. They came out the same day.

My garage door is needing to be replaced and the estimate was a little high. I am requesting a refund for the deal, but the company was very professional.

My experience with them was very good. He showed up a little ahead of time scheduled, and get the job done quickly and professionally.
