Precision Overhead Garage Door

Just purchased house, garage door was a little loud, purchased Angies List voucher for maintenance check. Door was checked for balance, rollers replaced, track lubricated, and tension was adjusted. Technician was very professional and responded to all questions. Overall, service was excellent and we will use Precision to replace the door in the future.

See above. The only issue we had with the "deal" was that we have two garage doors, so the deal only applied to one door.

Precision was great all the way down the line. The tech, Mike, was very professional. He found some things that were not operating with the door, but after he installed new springs and rollers, it now works beautifully! I would recommend this company to anyone.

The job involved assessing our current garage door and why it was making so much noise/squeaking as it went up and down. They replaced all the wheel bearings and now it works great. The individual that came did indicate that the garage door may have been installed incorrectly and may eventually need to replaced. He was a bit of a "sales individual" regarding this conversation. At this time, we opted only to have the service we purchased completed and may assess replacement if truly needed. I have owned my house for 9 years and have never had any issues with the garage door other than this recent experience.

Fantastic, quick, professional service. The tech examined the entire system and then briefed us on what options were available and what the prices were for each. No high pressure sales pitch, just honest recommendations on the benefits of each option. He completed the work in a timely manner and when he was finished, he explained how each of the controls and remotes work; also setup the remote control in my wife's car. The door works smoothly and is extremely quiet. EXCELLENT SERVICE and I will definitely use them again. The BEST part ... they had a special reduced price for Angie's list members.

They were great. The guy was super nice and came out promptly. He did a good job. He was professional and knowledgeable and did not do any high pressure sales. He fixed what I asked him to do.

I was at work when the repairman arrived. I spoke with him over the telephone. He was very polite, and explained what was wrong with my door. When I asked him what was the ballpark price, he continued to discuss problems with the door. He also explained there was a service fee and was surprised that it was not explained to me when the appointment was set. He stated that both springs needed to be replaced, although only one was cracked, both side cables, and several hinges. He expressed concern, and warned me that if I did not have the work done, it is possible for the door to fall on my vehicles. The price started at $120.00, plus a $75.00 (I think) service call, plus the cost of a pair of cables, and replacing the cracked hinges....so, now my total was up to around $500.00! I told him that neither their advertisement nor scheduler mentioned anything about a service charge, and that I selected their company because of the excellent ratings and evaluations on Angie's List, and I'm a MEMBER! Suddenly, his tune completely changed, he apologized, stating he didn't know I was an Angie's List member. He continued to apologize and reduced the bill to $240.00, no service charge, (I told him I had replaced the side cables and didn't need them). I agree to the $240.00. About 15 minutes later, he called back, stating he spoke to his manager, and apologized again for the misunderstanding and was authorized to repair the door, two main springs, two side cables, replace the hinges, and all adjustments for $120.00, in hopes to make things right.

It went well. Came for an inspection and broken door. Left installing a new door and other. Courteous, friendly stayed until it was done. Angie's list discount and no tax was nice.

Could not be happier. I had an estimate within a day of calling and the garage door installed the same week. Very friendly, professional. Technician that installed the door really worked hard to ensure everything was cleaned up when finished and took the time to show me the work and explain how to take care of the door. I was impressed that the salesperson did not "pressure" me into considering a more expensive door. I explained our budget and he listened. Very happy with their service. I will recommend this company to everyone I know.

The inspection and communication between the technician and myself went very well. Arrived on time. Explained the inspection findings and provided the cost of all services prior to performing the repairs.

It purrs like a kitten now; it's awesome. They came out last minute and were able to help get my garage door fixed. He even came back to fix a small issue for me. I'm very happy with the work, and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone - no question.

He replaced the broken parts and deducted the cost of the inspection from the total cost.

After agreeing with eye estimate, John completed the work in about 40 minutes. The work included lubricating all of the moving parts including the opener track. The result is a quiet, smooth operating door. I couldn't be more satisfied and will not hesitate to call them again for any future door needs.

They were great. It was an outstanding service. I was very pleased with the whole thing. We paid more than the Big Deal price. That was the one transaction that I felt kind of duped and taken advantage of. They got me in on a kind of a standard low priced special tune up for the garage door and all of a sudden I needed a new spring. I felt trapped. He didn't take advantage, but I guess my expectations were for $89, and the tune up was going to solve all of the problems I had with the garage door at that time. I liked their knowledge. They knew exactly what they were doing and they can explain it to me because I sat there and watched the whole time. He showed me the different parts and told me what they were going to do, and that was quite impressive. Unfortunately, I couldn't get out for $89. It was just my own expectations that kind of muddy the waters a little bit thinking that I only was going to spend $89 and it was $140 more later. They were out in 1-2 days. It was quick.

Great service. My garage door was starting to open on its own! Spooky! Ed found the issue and gave me options. He assessed everything as I frankly hadn't done any upkeep since buying the house 8 years ago (other than some spray oil on the metal rollers). I chose to replace the opener, which was fairly old, the cable and I had all the rollers replaced. Honestly, it's like a new door - SO QUIET. I hadn't really realized HOW noisy it had been and there is no vibration any longer. This was truly a job well done with excellent customer service. Ed was courteous, friendly, and took his time in explaining everything to me. I definitely recommend Precision and will use them again in the future.
