Precision Overhead Garage Door

Jason Daring was our tech and he did a fantastic job. He was very knowledgeable and got the job done quickly. It was great working with a person who came in and knocked the job in a professional and timely manner.

Tech came out within appointment time. He was very professional. He gave me 3 options for repair... patch, long term and longer term fixes. Worked fast and accurately leaving no mess.

They lied about me needing a new door due to a “broken part which was no longer available”. I called another company who had a dozen of the parts in their truck and said Lowe’s sold the for $1.20 each. Precision really pressured me to install the new door immediately. VERY fraudulent!!

Doors were 15 years old and had no maintenance from previous owners. Precision repaired and replaced parts and springs and doors work like new. Very professional

Very professional and knowledgeable. They did 'upsell' me, but in my case I do believe the extra services were needed, given that the garage doors were 15 years old and had no prior maintenance done.

Outstanding! Precision Overhead Garage Door did a great job and were wonderful to work with. An actual representative answered the phone at about 9:00 PM when I called. The representative was very helpful and scheduled a technician to come out the next morning. Their technician, Joshua Figueroa, arrived promptly as scheduled. He was very professional, personable, polite, and knowledgeable. He inspected the door and opener then reviewed with me the problems and the cost to repair. He also outlined optional items and costs to help extend the life of the door and new opener. Joshua never tried to pressure me into a decision. Joshua completed the repairs promptly and did a great job. The next time I need a garage door repair I will definitely contact Precision. I can highly recommend them.

Very well. Originally we called Precision because we were unable to program new remotes we purchased for an older opener. As it turns out the receiver in the unit was shot and replacing it would be costly and inconvenient. The tech gave us several options for a new opener and it was installed the same day. He also recommended replacing the rollers and we agreed. All in all an excellent service experience and we will not hesitate to recommend Precision.

I looked on Angie's List and saw a deal with Precision for $389, including entry Key pad and 2 remotes, complete with installation. Brian, the service tech came and said he will check it out. He found that the chan drive jumped the gear teeth . He took it apart and re-seated the chain. Then he set the limiterd on the door. Lubricated the hinges and tested it over and over. He said the 11 year old unit internally looked in great shape. He said it could last maybe another 6 years! $89- service call, instead of a $400- replacement. Great service guy and excellent company to deal with. I have been seeing their commercials on cable TV a lot too. Being in the sales and service business as well, (we sell new Pinball machines to the home market), I can appreciate the professionalism that this company and it's representatives projects. If you need garage door items replaced or repaired, Call Precision!

Precision explained everything so clearly, very friendly. My only problem was that they could not offer me a door that would exactly match my larger door because that door manufacturer no longer makes that style. This is an 18 year old home, and we it's only owners. Another garage door company was removing the same door we had off another person's house for an update. We bought it used for an extremely low price. The budget was a major factor, plus the exact match. I would however recommend Precision to anyone. They are too notch!

I really feel they tried to up-sell me. I may have needed two springs, but they wanted to sell me a "higher quality" spring and I also "needed bearings". So that whole thing was going to cost me ~$800 (they didn't let me keep the estimate). The guy that came by was real nice and professional, but I think he is hi-pressured into selling the most costly solution. By the way, I had 2 other companies come by and give me estimates that were much lower (total cost ~$250) . I asked about the bearings (without "leading the witness") and one of them said he'd been in the business 20 years and only replaced one set of bearings. (My place is 13 years old.) So Precision may be ok, but I suggest getting 3 bids before picking them. :)

They were timely and they did what they needed to do with the door.

When your garage door spring snaps on a Thursday and it's 4 pm in the afternoon with both cars inside, you panic. Fortunately Precision had a technician nearby and he was available to come and fix the problem. I just want to say that I had the pleasure of having technician Cain come to my home to resolved this issue. He was courteous, professional, informative, and respectful. This gentleman went above and beyond to resolve my problem and took extra time to even repair/bolt my track for the door/trolley that had came lose from my garage wall. He stayed until well after 7pm, cleaned up his work, and was never bothered by my watching or my constant questions. What I liked about precision is that they assessed everything, told me what needed to be done, and gave me options with prices before anything was touched. Springs, rollers, pulley's, and all the moving parts were replaced. Granted, I wasn't happy for the amount of money I had to spend but then, I should not of waited until something broke (like 15 years) to have my garage door serviced. Thank you Cain for going over how to maintain my garage door with me. I'm hoping this won't happen again.

From the sales pitch to the installation they were extremely professional and punctual. Everything went as planned (except for the poor guys having to go in and out of the door for two hours with a terrible downpour at the time. Amazing how strong and quiet this door is compared to my last one. Thank you!

I called in the morning and within 2 hours the technician, Arnold Simpson, showed up. There was an odor in my garage that I thought was coming from the garage door opener but Arnold helped me pinpoint the issue. Upon examining the opener, Arnold found some problems with it and also the springs. Arnold was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He explained all my options and the pros and cons of each option. Seeing that the current opener was 16 years old, I decided to replace it along with the springs. I went with the best and I am very satisfied with the outcome.

Great. Attentive. Responsive. Expert and flawless installation.

I contacted this company around 1130 in the morning and asked, "Are you able to get someone to my house today?" I was assured that it would not be an issue and given a time slot 4-8 pm. At 630 pm, I noticed the company sent me a confirmation email said 4-6 pm, this prompted me to call and verify that someone was still coming out. I was reassured that I was still on the schedule and someone would be at my residence by 8 pm. It is now 921 pm no one came or called. Apparently this company has more business than it needs.

Took him longer to get to my home after he called, but then he explained that he was coming from Clearwater. I thought he was from the Tampa office. He provided me with three options and I took the middle one. He was courteous and explained what he did after completing the job. He wrote that the rollers were worn out on the statement, but I didn't see it until after he left. Also the printout was a bit confusing and it stated that the operator motor/gear was worn, but he said that it was in good shape. He charged me 7% shop supplies but then reversed it with an Angie's List coupon. The warranty and work order agreement seemed a bit defensive, but they have an excellent rating with AL. My home is only 7 years old, and did not have any problems with the garage door until one of the springs suddenly broke. Hopefully these new springs will last longer.
