Description of Work: We had a problem with a brocken cable on the garage door and decided to have a complete tuneup as well as having the cable replaced. Turns out that the door was ancient and did not meet current standards. Rather than mucking about trying to find replacement parts we decided to replace the door. Matt, the service technician was professional and helpful.

Description of Work: James arrived promptly, and called several times prior to my appointment to let me know approximately how long he would be. When he arrived, he did initial inspection of the door, the opener, the rails, wheels, and springs. He replaced all rollers, and determined that my springs required replacing, as well as the ball bearings on each end of the door. The top of the opener was showing signs of stress and metal shavings, as a result of the springs. Since this was the first time I had door serviced in 9 years, and add to that the weight of the door, and the humidity in my garage, I was not surprised, and had him do all the repairs. My garage door has never been so quiet -- not even the first day I used it. I was extremely pleased with the professionalism of the technician, promptness and thoroughness of his service. I would definitely use them again, or recommend them highly to anyone requiring service on their garage door.

Description of Work: Technician Blake arrived on time for appointment. He called me approximately 15 minutes prior to arrival to let me know he was on the way. He was very personable, professional and knowledgeable. He began by asking me if I had any issues with the door. I informed him that a irritatingly loud metallic rattle and screeching noise would wake up the neighbors at night when i would operate the door. He said he would begin with the Angie's List Big Deal I had purchased which included a Tune-Up and new roller wheels. That improved the performance some what but did not quiet the noise very much. He then checked the motor of the opener and determined that it had seen better days but still functioned ok. He did not pressure me one bit to replace the opener but I had just purchased the home and decided to go with a new model. Hopefully a quieter model. Great decision. Now, when I operate the door, you can hear a pin drop. It's that quiet. I'm very pleased with the entire buying experience with this company. Would use them again in a heartbeat.

Description of Work: The deal was for service including adjustment and replacing rollers. Installer was not aware of the deal and quoted $450 for the work to be done. After seeing the deal printout, he reduced the total to $300. (Replaced cables in addition to work included in deal). Work was done promptly, but I had the impression that the installer would overcharge on estimates when he could.

Description of Work: The company sent a man out the very day I called for "THE DEAL" on Angie's List. Very poite and professional. In addition to the rollers being replaced, and the door receiving overall service, he pointed out that I needed to have the springs replaced, thus the increase in cost. I didn't dispute him, as they did look pretty old and rusted. I decided why do half a job! So I agreed to his doing the spring replacement as well. Overall, the experience was fine.

Description of Work: They were on time they fixed my two remotes,put new springs,fixed the outside remote,and put in a new electric board and even returned in the evening at no charge to fix another adjustment. I would recomend this company hands down.They are very good. Larry Hansen

Description of Work: Precision Garage Door came out to my mom's house and gave her garage door a tune up. What was nice about the job is the service tech done exactly what was needed and did not try to sell my mom anything that was not needed. They gave her a quote to add insulation kit to her garage door because it does get hot in the afternoons. I would highly recommend this company

Description of Work: Checked the garage door opener but did not fix. put new Rollers in doors ( which took about 15 minutes) I was very disappointed because he was there to upsale me new garage door springs and etc. There was one light out on the opener and he said he would replace it but did not and in fact he sprayed the garage doors gears with something and the second light went out. He told me I could only get a 20% discount if I had other work done that day. When I told him I just needed to have what I paid for which was a roller replacement and check on the door. He did not wipe the tracks clean on the garage door so I was surprised. The man was very polite, but in a hurry when I told him I couldn't spend over $240.00 that day to have all replaced that he wanted to do.

Description of Work: i expected more from the special coupon to correct the problem. he put new rollers and greased. i recently had a new opener installed and it worked with no heavy sound at closing. i wanted him to adjust. he came up with replacing bearings etc. to the tune of approx. $600. i will live with sound for now. i am not prepared to pay that much when it was quiet before new opener.
