Description of Work: Three sets of sliding doors needed repair. Excellent work..the doors have never worked this well. One set we could hardly open. Replaced rollers, bearing, etc. Door were taken completely apart to be worked on. Cleaned and lubed. Made sure doors were square. Doors are like brand new. Would hire Steve back in a minute!

Description of Work: Steve Leonard came out to service my sliding doors yesterday. He was without doubt one of the most unpleasant service man I have ever dealt with; rude, impatient, smelled bad, was sloppy, dirty, dishonest, and unprofessional. After rushing through replacing the wheels on a door, he said he could no longer honor his promise on the phone to fix an additional door for the agreed to price. He also never cleaned off the bottom or top of the door before spraying WD40, which then was a stain that was mpossible to remove. He also attempted to leave without repairing the pin lock he ripped off the door. He never replaced the furniture he had moved and left a large oil stain on my driveway.

 + -1 moreHe worked hard and efficiently. He's a pleasant man, who knows his stuff. That always makes it seem easier than it is to a novice like me. He was happy to explain what he was doing, and why, as he was doing it. He's neat and clean and very professional. My doors work like new.
Description of Work: Ten Sliding glass panels were repaired. Twenty lower rollers were replaced with new rollers. The worn lower felt leather stripping was replaced with nylon weather stripping. Three burglar bars were replaced. One lock assembly was replaced. One door panel was straightened. One overhead track and frame were sagging, and he fixed that.

 + -1 moreSteve came exactly on time, was very amiable, and repaired it quickly. It turned out we had some mutual friends, so I enjoyed talking with him. He did a great job on the doors and the price was also terrific. I had expected to drop at least a thousand on the doors so I was thrilled to get them working like new for $150. If anyone has an older home like I do, with expensive nonstandard doors that aren't working well, this is the man you want. He owns the company so he takes pride in his work. He has been on Angie's List honor roll.
Description of Work: My sliding glass doors weren't opening properly due to the wheels and tracks being pretty much destroyed. Rather than pay several thousand dollars to have the two 4 ft. wide doors replaced, Steve totally rebuilt the wheels and cleaned the tracks so that they work like new. He also removed some jury-rigging devices that the previous owner had put on to make it air-tight, but was hampering the doors.

 + -1 moreI found Steve Leonard's name recommended on Angie's List. We have 3 sliding glass doors each measuring 5' x 7'. Unknown to me, the doors were never properly installed 40 years ago for my parents and have always been difficult to open and close. I described the problem to Steve over the telephone and he gave me a price of $205 to fix everything. We set up a date for 5 days later. He arrived exactly on time and fixed everything in 1 hour. I know most other people would not be able to do the job because the parts are hard to find (over 40 yrs. old) and the work is difficult -- but not for Steve! I highly recommend Patio Door Repair, Inc. to fix any sliding door problems. THANKS TO ANGIE'S LIST FOR THE GREAT RECOMMENDATION!!

He gave me an estimate over the phone and fixed the problem within 20 minutes. He takes a lot of pride in his work, and I would definitely call on him again.
Description of Work: My husband recently changed the wheels on our sliding glass patio door but the lock on door did not align with lock on door frame after he was finished. Steve Leonard fixed the patio door by adjusting the lock on the door frame so it would line up with the door. He also installed a burglar bar. The lock works like a charm!

Description of Work: STEVE,THE OWNER OF PATIO DOOR REPAIR CAME TO FIX MY SLIDING GLASS DOOR. IT WOULD OPEN BUT WITH GREAT DIFFICULTY AND MAKE THE WORST NOISE UPON CLOSING. STEVE SAID THE ROLLERS WERE SHOT AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. HE TOO HAD TO REPAIR THE TOP OF THE DOOR AND REPLACE MY LOCK SYSTEM. I HAD HIM CHECK MY OTHER PATIO DOOR THAT IS NOT USED VERY OFTEN. HE SAID ALTHOUGH IT COULD USE SOME REPAIR HE SAID IT BEST NOT SINCE I USE IT SO RARELY IT COULD RETURN TO ITS CURRENT STATE JUST FROM A LACK OF USE. HE SUGGESTED I GIVE HIM A CALL WHEN THAT SECOND DOOR BECOMES AS PROBLEMATIC AS THE REPAIRED DOOR. STEVE EVEN WENT TO THE TROUBLE TO TELL ME HOW TO CARE FOR THE REPAIRED DOOR TO INSURE GOOD USAGE.
