In Febrauary, our garage door was damaged. Overhead came out promptly for an estimate and checked their inventory and was able to schedule a dateon the spot. The garage door was only a portion of teh cost. Shortly after they worked on teh dorr - teh garage door opener broke (no connection between th etwo events!) and they came out and replaced the garage door opener and installed a wirelsee key pad to open the door as well. Both jobs were very professionally handled.

This company did an OUTSTANDING job. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family!

Mark called at 7:30am and said he would arrive at in 30 minutes. He was very prompt and professional, no-nonsense. He got right to work. The garage door frame had broken from to much tension and unbalanced cables with springs. He recommended I switch to a torsion bar which is located above the door. He said it would balance the door better and reduce noise. He also added a sliding bolt to lock the door from the inside and a new gasket for the bottom of the door to seal from the outside weather. After installing the new opener and the additional door hardware, he was finished about 10:30am and then filled out his company paperwork which was another 20 mins. The door is much quieter and works better. We are very happy with the work and would recommend this company.

Motor broke. They came and fixed the unit.

They were good and I liked them. They had a few options for garage doors. The installers were timely and professional. When they put the door up the overhead light and mechanism was not hung right. They adjusted it for me accordingly. They were responsive and professional.

We have had problems with our garage door in the past - the wires would come loose and then the eye would not operate so we could not close the door. In the past we managed to get the problem corrected, sometimes taking hours and using electrical tape. The same thing happened again today. I got on Angie's List this morning (before 8 AM) and searched for companies. I emailed three companies using the email report button, which is an excellent feature if you want to contact companies before/after business hours. Overhead Door called me back less than an hour later. I expected to get an appointment either on Friday or Monday but to my surprise they were able to come the same day/today. The techinican was on-time and polite. I showed him the problem and less than 30 minutes later he had everything fixed. The Safety Beam (eye) and the wires had to be replaced. He did a wonderful job. I saved $10 using a coupon via Angie's List. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again if I have any other garage door problems.

Overall, everyone I had contact with from the people who answered the phone, to the service manager, the estimator, to the guy who did the installation were all polite and professional. I'd be happy to recommend them to anyone who needed a new garage door. The credited me half the cost of the original service call toward my new door and opener and also honored the $40 in Angie's List coupons, saving me about $80 off the regular price.

The torsion spring for my garage door broke. I checked the AngiesList and found Overhead Door of Clearwater who had many positive reports. I called them at 10 and they indicated they would be at my home between 12 and 5. The technician arrived at 2pm and had the torsion spring fixed by 3pm. He also checked the operation of the garage door and made some adjustments to improve the operation of the garage door. So they provided fast, reliable and prompt service.

My garage door operator began failing intermittently so I called Overhead Door of Clearwater. They promised a technician would be there within 2 hours. The technician called me about 45 minutes later to tell me he was on his way to my house and he arrived about 15 minutes later. Of course I could not make the door operator fail while he was there so I could just describe to him what happened each time it failed. Because of his experience with garage door operators, he described to me in detail what he believed to be the issue. To fix the problem would have been very inexpensive, but because of the age of my current operator and the fact that we could not be completely sure that this would be a permanent fix, I ask him to just install a new operator. He was able to do this in about a 2 hour timeframe. The technician(tech. #192) was very professional, patient and knowledgable with my questions, and efficient. He installed the operator, a remote opener, and a surge protector in good time and adjusted the operator to work well. He then explained the bill and the product warranty to me before he left my home. I am very pleased with the door operator and the work he did while he was here.

The salesman was knowledgable and courteous. The door had to be ordered, but arrived intime to meet the installation date to which the Company had committed. The product is first rate and the installer was professional and efficient. I was very impressed with the quality of the work. When the isntaller showed me how to install the hurricane bracing it appeared that the pins supplied with the braces were to long. The following week the installer returned and modified his installation. Apparently some of the brackets were installed upside down. He corrected the mistake and the bracing could now be secured properly. The county inspector discovered that thrree of the bolts securing the track to the walls had not been installed. This reqiuired another trip by the installer insert the missing anchors. It also entailed another trip by the inspector. All of that said, I don't think ANY company installs Dade County rated hurricane doror that often, so the missed anchors may be understandable. The building inspector said he had never before inspected a door as heavy as the one we purchased. I would use the company again.

At my request, he first tried to salvage the previous system (maybe I could return the new system.) After fixing some problems, he found others that could not be easily fixed. So I asked him to install the new one after doing all that extra work. He didn't charge extra and didn't complain. He was efficient, quick, clean, and his explanations of the new system's features were clear, thorough, and helpful. He was on time. He carted off the old stuff.

Called and made appointment two days in advance. David called on day of appointment to let me know he was on his way. Showed up a little before the appointed time. Took him a few minutes to check the mechanism and diagnose the problem. Reset and adjusted the down limit, checked the door out completely and replaced two rollers that were bad. Advised me on door maintenance as well. Very efficient, fast and honest. Appreciate the fact that he not only fixed the problem reported but also checked the door and found the bad rollers. Door works like new again.

They were punctual for the initial estimate and for the installation. Very good on following up. Installation went very quickly, and they cleaned everything up upon completion. I would definitely recommend them to any of my friends who needed similar work done.

I was looking to replace my garage door and one of the companies I contacted was Overhead Door of Clearwater. I was put in touch with John and he was able to visit my home the day of my call. He responded at the time we arranged and was very pleasant to work with. I explained what type of door I was looking for and asked for a price. He measured and examined the opening and the currently existing door and made two recommendations. The pricing he provided was very competitive and I did explain that I had other companies that were going to provide me a quote. He also provided me with their web address so that I could see their work, a variety of doors and some history of the company. I would recommend this company even through I ended up using another company to do the replacement.

On Sunday, January 3rd we couldn't raise our garage door. We tried the emergency pull, crowbars, nothing worked so I left an anxious message with Overhead Door because the cars were locked in the garage and no way to get to work, or anywhere else. I asked if they could send someone out Monday morning. They called the next morning at 7:30 (their office opened at 8:00) and said they'd send a man over first thing. At 8:15 Damon came and looked at our spring and said the cold air had snapped it. He told us that if it was getting ready to go, the cold air would pop it. Sure enough, we remembered a loud bang the night before and thought a transformer had blown in the neighborhood. He proceeded to replace the spring (no small task) and rivet the areas of the door that we had broken trying to raise it. He did a great job, very professional, very thorough, very nice, cleaned up everything afterwards. Plus the man had a bad sinus infection and still did a super job. I have used this company before and have had great service.

They did a very good job. The garage door kept opening and the technician went through the whole nine yards to remedy the problem. They adjusted the door and fixed a problem on the opener. They showed up in the time frame that they had said and was very fast in fixing the problem.

The entire process from obtaining an estimate to installing new doors one week later was handled very professionally. Doors are of high quality and very competitively priced when compared to the big box hardware stores.

If you have a single panel garage door, Overhead Door of Clearwater will tell you that it cannot be repaired. What this really means is that THEY cannot repair it. I first called and asked to speak with their service department about my old single panel garage door. Without sending anyone to look at it, the person on the phone quite convincingly said that it could not be repaired, parts were not available, it was obsolete, etc. and suggested a new garage door. He transferred me to the sales department. Sales sent someone out to give me a quote. The salesman concured that the door was unrepairable and went so far as to claim that the door was too heavy to pick up and said that the springs were no good. (I was able to open the garage door with one hand which means the springs were fine). After receiving a quote of over $1000 along with a list of things that was not included, I decided to do a little more research before proceeding. I called a one man garage door company that was recommended on Angie's List. He came out a couple of days later and fixed my old one panel garage door for $140.00 including several replacement parts. I expect that I will get several more years out of the old garage door that Overhead Door of Clearwater said was old, obsolete, and unrepairable. If you want your single panel garage door repaired, call someone else.

They always do very good quality work. They are always very professional and courteous. I give them A's down the board.

They were not on time, one worker showed up 30 minutes late and another 45 minutes late. They were somewhat lacking in customer relations skills. They were also did not put down a tarp and the garage floor became scratched and left a mess for me to clean up.

Great job. The installer was on time, polite and neat.

Technician was running late, but called to advise. Otherwise, prompltly and efficiently attended to the repair with 24 hurs.
